BEAUTY: URBAN DECAY ALL NIGHTER FOUNDATION REVIEW

I've been using the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation for a while now, I've actually just repurchased it and realised that i'd never reviewed it on my blog. So I thought i'd share my thoughts with you and finally review it.

I have it in shade 2 which is a light shade, I was actually matched up a while ago but am still happy with this shade. It's a natural shade and I can easily use bronzer to add abit of colour. They have 24 shades to choose from

The packaging is gorgeous and I like that it has a pump and lid as you can easily throw it in your make up bag and you don't need to worry about accidents happening. The pump gives you a good amount of product, I find that one pump pretty much does my whole face. I tend to go for a natural coverage but I know my sister uses a few more pumps and builds up a fuller coverage. I use a buffing brush or sometimes a stippling brush to apply and I love the natural finish this gives. It's really easy to build up and if i'm having a bad skin day or going out I'll put a little more on for a fuller coverage.

The product blends really well and looks so natural. It's not cakey at all and doesn't sit on the skin. It sinks in well and leaves the skin looking flawless. I have quite dry skin with some combination areas and I find this works really well for me. It doesn't go patchy at all. It's so easy to apply and work into the skin. I use this along side my Collection lasting perfection concealer and it's the perfect base. It dries into the skin very fast and then i'll usually apply a setting powder and my contour for everyday.

As I mentioned above I've just repurchased this foundation and I don't do that very often.I quite like trying out different brands and foundations but I found this ticked all of the boxes and is a really good everyday foundation. I find it really easy to apply and it always looks good. I have had so many reviews about looking radiant and healthy since i've started using this foundation.

It's £29 for the bottle which I think is really reasonable and is much cheaper that foundations I was using before and the pump is already attached so you don't have to spend extra money buying this. I've used the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray before and really like this for nights out, i'd love to try out a few more bits and see what I think.

I have seen mixed reviews on this foundation so it's worth checking out a few reviews. As I mentioned above I have dry skin and I find it doesn't cling to any dry patches but I've seen reviews saying people don't get on well with it. Maybe try a sample first and see how your skin reacts. I took a risk and just picked it up in store and I love it.

BEAUTY: CLARINS BB SKIN DETOX FLUID REVIEW

So, i've been using the Clarins BB Skin Detox Fluid pretty much every single day since it came through my letter box! I've been so impressed with it that it's easily become my everyday foundation.
I have to say i'm a huge Clarins fan and I love using their skincare and make up. I'm not normally a fan of BB creams however I found this to be unlike a BB cream.

The formula is quite thick for a BB cream but it blends into the skin so easily and effortlessly. It blends really well and doesn't leave your skin patchy. The coverage is so good but still natural, I still use a concealer under my eye and on my blemishes but there's so need to sweep your face in concealer because the coverage is good and will cover any redness / uneven skin tone. The product leaves the skin feeling so hydrated and radiant and it lasts all day. It dries into the skin fast as well which means you can apply your bronzer and other products pretty much straight away.

I apply the product with a stippling style brush however the website tells you to apply with your hands. It says to let the product melt into your hands and apply and then pat into the skin however I didn't like the finish when I applied it this way. I found using my usual foundation brush works well for me. I think if you use a beauty blender this would work well too! I like that this product has a pump and I really love the packaging!

You can pick this up from your local Clarins counter or via the website here, Clarins RRP: £30

BEAUTY: WORTH THE HYPE?

Today i'm talking about blogger hypes! These are those make up must haves, those products that you need to own! I know there are some products that I haven't included that are very popular right now for example the Kylie lip kit but honestly this just doesn't interest me in the slightest. I like the lip products I have right now without forking out stupid amounts of money because it says Kylie on the packaging.

I've gone for more staple items like foundations, highlighters and primers. First up is the Nars Sheer Glow foundation, if I could afford to wear this every single day I would.  It soaks in to the skin so nice and blends so easily. The colour I have in this is perfect for my skin tone aswell, I have the shade Santa Fe. You get a lovely medium coverage with this foundation that you can easily build up and it leaves your skin looking flawless and smooth.

The Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation was another blogger hype that everyone raved on about and i'm happy to say I loved it! I wasn't sure because of the price but so many people really liked it so I went out and bought it. It didn't last me very long because I liked it that much that I was wearing it all the time. I kinda wished i'd saved it now for occasions or nights out etc. The coverage again was lovely very buildable. The finish is gorgeous, you get a very nice dewy look. I would really like to pick this up again.

The L'Oreal Infaliable matte 24H was a more afforable product that I found alot of mixed reviews about. Some people loved it and others not as keen so I picked it up to see what I thought and I was very impressed. At the time I was suffering with oily skin so my make up would look cakey and sometimes slide off the skin. Not with this though, the formula again really nice and buildable. I found it high coverage but a lovely lightweight foundation. It blends into the skin well and I like to apply using a buffing brush.

The Collection lasting perfection concealer has been a long time must have for me. I always have one in my make up bag and it's the concealer I reach for every day! I do like the Urban Decay Naked one but the shade I have is too dark. I love that the collection one is so affordable and works great for everyone. I don't find it cakey, it blends great and is really easy to work with and affordable. If you haven't tried it before, give it ago you won't regret it.

The Becca Jaclyn Hill Highlighter in Champagne pop was raved about by so many people for so long that I needed it. I hadn't even swatched it but I ordered it anyway and when it arrived I wasn't dissapointed. It's one of the best products i've ever bought. A little on the pricey side but I really wanted to give it ago and my Space NK voucher was soon to expire so why not. It's such a pretty highlighter, the colour is perfect and would suit so many different skin colours. I'm so so happy I bought this and I will have to buy another one when mine runs out because I use it every single day.

The Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade was all everyone was talking about at one point so when I went to America I picked it up and I love it. I don't tend to reach for it so much anymore but when I first got it I used it everyday! I tend to go for a more natural brow look now, I was using the Brow Wiz pencil but I need to order a new one so now i'm using the Soap and Glory Archery pencil. I use the Dipbrow when i'm going out.

The Urban Decay Potion Primer is one of my all time must haves! I love the original but my favourite is Sin. It's a gorgeous gold shimmery shade. I use potion primer every single day and will always repurchase it. It makes your eyeshadow look 100 times better and last longer too.

Mac Velvet Teddy has to be one of the most hyped blogger products. It's such a gorgeous shade, I love that it's matte. I really like the Mac Matte lipsticks. They are creamy and smooth. I really like Velvet Teddy, it's my go to lipstick. I wear it all the time.

Topshop Glow is such a gorgeous highlighter and i've seen people rave on about the Topshop beauty products. You can use it on your brow bone or cheekbones, it's really easy to apply. It's such a bargain and lasts such a long time. I really like the Topshop beauty products, well worth the hype.

As you can see i've been pretty happy with these blogger hypes, I have tried some hypes that I haven't been impressed with and I will feature these in a blog post soon.

BEAUTY: URBAN DECAY NAKED SKIN CONCEALER

URBAN DECAY NAKED SKIN CONCEALER - £17.50*

I've been giving the Urban Decay Naked concealer a go! I recently got gifted a John Lewis voucher so I headed to the brand new John Lewis in Grand Central which is a new shopping center in Birmingham.

The packaging is gorgeous, it's a lovely glass tube with silver lid with a doupher applicator. It comes in a gold box which looks really fancy and looks really luxurious.

The concealer is really lovely, with it being part of the Naked collection you know your going to get a good natural finish, you can also build up the product to get a good fuller coverage finish. The concealer blends really easily and is a good full coverage formula. It covers up my blemishes and dark circles really well and I find it blends well with my foundation.

The shade I have was recommended for me on the counter but after using it a few times I think its a little dark as I like to use my concealer under the eye to brighten up the eye area. I would probably buy the lightest shade next time!

I will be repurchasing this concealer as I really want to try it out in a lighter shade. I love the consistency and think its a great natural concealer that's really easy to build up and it covers all of my spots and blemishes.

What do you think of the Naked Concealer? Have you tried any other good concealers?

BEAUTY: REVIEW CHARLOTTE TILBURY MAGIC FOUNDATION

I picked up the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation at the Selfridges Beauty event in Birmingham about two weeks ago! I've been using it pretty much everyday since so I thought i'd share my thoughts. I have also spotted it on loads of beauty bloggers videos and instagrams so thought i'd try and get in there a post a little review.

I love love love the packaging. Charlotte Tilbury packaging is gorgeous! This bottle of foundation is seriously so photogenic.

I have really oily/combination skin right now and i'm finding I'm getting so so oily through the day. I am using the Laura Mercier Primer to try and combat my oilyness but it's not really working. I think with the sudden change in the weather my skins just all over the place.

The consistency of this foundation is lovely it's so easy to apply and it sinks into the skin really well, it does feel a little tacky like its wet but its fine after a little while and I usually set this with powder aswell. It's really workable and you can easily build up layers. I'm finding I have to put abit extra on my chin and on some of my blemishes as they don't cover with just one layer but this means you can add to your problem areas without having to cake on loads of product all over.

The colour I have is perfect, I have shade 4.5, I would really reccommend getting matched up with this foundation or at least trying some sample shades first as there is so many shades to choose from that you would be able to get a really decent match.

I don't think this is really that long lasting. I don't know whether this is just my skin right now. I might give it a break for a week or so and come back to it but my skin is just so oily right now that it does seem to be sliding off and it's sinking into some of my pores by the end of the day. As I said my skin is being really mean right now with stress but when I initially put the foundation on it's flawless, it's just through the day it seems to slide off. It might be more suitable for someone with normal skin rather than my horrible oily skin.

I do really like this foundation I really hope its just my skin right now which is making it slide off so I will give this another go in a week or so and let my skin settle. I know people that have raved about this foundation so I think it does depend on your skin type.

REVIEW: LOREAL INFALLIBLE 24HR MATTE FOUNDATION

FOUNDATION - BOOTS -£7.99

I've heard so many mixed reviews about this foundation, I read quite a few reviews and it seemed that the foundation seemed to work better for people with oily/combination skin, so I thought i'd give it ago! I have to say I'm so impressed with this foundation. The coverage is really good and it looks really natural. It leaves my skin looking flawless and smooth. It blurs out my imperfections and my pores appear reduced. I love the finish with this foundation, even though its a matte formula I feel the finish is quite dewy which I like. At only £7.99 this is such a great addition to any make up bag, I'm loving my new Make Up Forever HD Foundation but this is a great cheap drugstore alternative. I will be repurchasing this as i'm so poor right now since we booked our holiday to Ibiza. This will be perfect to take to ibiza to wear in the day because of the lightweight finish and the amazing coverage.
The packaging is lovely, I like the tube it makes it really easy to squeeze out onto my Spectrum Buffing brush, then I buff the formula into the skin until it soaks in and leaves the skin smooth and flawless.

Have you used this foundation?  Did it work for your skin type?

REVIEW:CLARINS TRUE RADIANCE FOUNDATION

Clarins True Radiance Foundation - £27.00*- Clarins

I've been using this Clarins foundation alot recently, I have kindly been sent a few pieces from the A/W14 collection to try including this True Radiance Foundation which was launched a few weeks ago!

I don't tend to use the same foundation every single day so i've been using this in between the latest YSL Fusion Ink Foundation ( read my review here YSL FUSION INK)

First of all the packaging - I love love love Clarins packaging, its so fancy! The iconic red box, the gold detailing. You can see where your money goes with Clarins. I love that the foundation has a pump which makes it easy to use. I pop a few pumps onto my hand and apply with a buffing brush.

I find I only need about 3 or 4 pumps depending on how i'm building up my coverage. As I said I use my buffing brush to apply and base and then apply more to my problem areas, (chin, cheeks and nose) for more coverage. Its easy to build up. I do find the formula is quite wet so I leave it to soak in before applying blusher or powder, I usually apply my eye make up now and go back to the rest of my base.

Once it's soaked in,  this doesn't take long maybe 5 minutes I apply my blusher, bronzer and powder. I find a setting powder works well to create a more matte finish. The foundation leaves the skin looking radiant and fresh. The foundation leaves the skin feeling full of hydration, this lasts all day. Even when i'm taking my make up off before bed my skin is still full of hydration and radiance.

For a more dewy, radiant finish I don't apply a setting powder all over just to my problem areas to stop it looking shiny.

I think you get a decent size bottle for £27.00 and a very good quality product. The coverage is light but build-able and easy to apply and it lasts all day leaving the skin full of moisture. With spf 15 its perfect for everyday wear!

CLARINS A/W MAKE UP 2014

I've been given the amazing opportunity to try the latest A/W make up collection from Clarins. I haven't tried anything yet however I will be giving it all ago this week. I just wanted to show you guy what to expect.

The range is available this month, and the True Radiance* (RRP :£27)  foundation is already available.
The Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder eyeshadow's* (RRP :£19 each) look amazing, i'm so excited to try these out. The packaging is glass and very luxurious. I've been swatching these and I can see they are going to be easy to use and very buildable.

Clarins foundations always excite me, again the glass bottle makes it so desirable. It has a pump making it very easy to apply, i've had a little play using a buffing brush which was very easy to apply and I managed to build up a very nice flawless finish. I will review this properly after i've used it a few times.

Finally i'm very excited to give the Instant Light Eye Perfecting Base* (RRP:£22) a go. It's designed to brighten and even the eyelids in an instant, it also creates a matte finish to improve eyeshadow hold through the day. It sounds like a primer, I'm currently using the Urban Decay potion primer so I'm excited to try a different one.

I hope this has got you all excited for the release of the A/W collection!

REVIEW: ecoTOOLS COLLECTOR'S BRUSH ROLL WITH MULTI-TASKING FACE BRUSH

 ecoTOOLS collector's brush roll with multi-tasking face brush - £11.99* - Boots

I'm a huge fan of ecoTOOLS make up brushes and have quite a few in my collection. Heres a couple of reviews Six Piece Starter Set and Bamboo Buffing and Concealer Brush.

I think they are such an amazing value for money. I tend to buy real techniques or ecoTOOLS.

The actual brush roll is really nice, its lightweight and rolls up really easily, I havent used a brush roll before but its so nice to have all of my brushes in one place. These are the ones I use the most.
The roll has words which you can use to pop particular brushes away so they are easy to find. This is a great idea if you use say a buffing brush for foundation and then another brush for blusher but you use the same brush this way you wont accidently pick up the wrong one.

I've been popping this in my bag when I stop at clints and it's not bulky at all, its a great way to store my favourites.

The brush that comes with the roll is a multi-tasking face brush which you could use to build up coverage or just for a light base. Its such a lovely brush. The bristles are so soft and nice on the skin.

The brushes vary in price but are about £8 so here your getting the brush and brush roll for only £12 which is a bargain. It's such a great value for money. I'd say its great for people starting out as mua's who don't really want to spend alot on a brush roll or if your doing someones make up for a wedding or an occasion, its a great way to store all your brushes and they are easy to get to.

You can buy ecoTOOLS brushes in store at Boots and Superdrug.

MINI REVIEW: Latest Beauty Buys

Mua Pro Brow Kit
Maybelline Dream Satin Liuid
Maybelline Fit Foundation Stick

Here's a few bits and pieces i've been using recently. I needed a new brow kit and really wanted to try out the foundation stick.

I've been using the foundation stick as a concealer, I've been applying it directly to the skin and then using my ecoTOOLS concealer brush to blend it in. It's a lovely creamy formula which blends in really easily. I'm finding it really easy to use. It doesnt leave my skin looking cakey at all. The coverage is good and it's covering my blemishes and dark circles. I would'nt wear this as a foundation but it's working well as a concealer for me.

I've reviewed the brow kit here

The foundation is actually really nice as well. I tend to stick to the same foundations but after trying the Wake me up foundation I was tempted to try more drug store foundations. The formula is really creamy and makes my skin feel lovely and looking dewy. Its long lasting and along side the Maybelline fit foundation stick gave good coverage. I would purchase this again as I found it worked really well for me personally. I've been applying it with my Real Techniques buffing brush and i'm happy with the finish this gives me.

RIMMEL: Wake me up foundation

I've heard loads and loads of things about this foundation and i've never purchased it but the other day I was in need of a new foundation and it was only like £6.99 in superdrug so I picked it up. I've been applying it with my beauty blender and I think it leaves a really nice flawless look. It creates a natural look with good coverage. I've been using this for a few weeks and i've found it applies very easily and leaves a nice finish. It doesn't have the best staying power as i've found by the end of the day it's come off my chin. I haven't really been using a primer with this so I will be trying out a primer to see if it makes much difference. I would reccomend this because for £7 it's a steal! I've got oily/combination skin and I think it makes my skin glow and look refreshed. It's doesn't make my skin oily or greasy.

Have you tried this foundation ?

REVIEW: LIZ EARLE SHEER SKIN TINT*

I love Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish it's without a doubt my favourite cleanser. It leaves my skin feeling clean and it doesn't irritate my skin at all. I was so excited when I visited the Liz Earle counter and found out about their Make Up range.

The Sheer skin tint is a foundation which leaves the skin looking natural and dewy. I think it has really good coverage and I really like the formula. It applies easily to the skin, I have applied it with my beauty blender and with a stippling brush, both of which were easy to use.

The Skin Tint has SPF 15 making it good for everyday use. I like to use this on top of a lightweight face cream, which I let dry in properly before applying. I've found the skin tint is a very wet formula but I think this is how they get the dewy look. It does dry it and then I set with a pressed powder for a more matte effect.

I have beige which is the perfect shade for my skin, it does come in 3 other shades and is a decent 40ml tube. I like the simple packaging from Liz Earle. The shiny packaging means the tube stays clean in your make up bag.

I think my skin looks radiant and dewy when I apply this and it lasts very well. My make up looks fresh at the end of a 7 hour shift at Pizza Hut ;) For £21.00 I would rather purchase this product again than a similar product from Benefit or Mac because with Liz Earle I know i'm getting a more natural product that is enriched with Vitamins and natural oils.

REVIEW : Chantecaille Compact Make up

Chantecaille compact make up - Powder Foundation - £48* Buy at space NK or Chantecaille (us only)

I have never used anything from Chantecaille before and decided to try this powder foundation,  I started getting bored of my liquid foundation and I used to use powder foundations all the time.

This Chantecaille foundation is a decent size and comes in this lovely big compact with a good mirror. The colour was good for my skin tone and I liked the product. I however couldn't wear it alone as a foundation. The coverage wasn't great and I didn't feel like I had any make up on at all.
It didn't really cover my problem areas very well or blemishes. It is a very light coverage. So I used it up as a powder. I applied it with my powder brush and it seemed to work nicer with my normal liquid foundation.

It was like the powder needed something to hold on to. I really liked this powder as a setting powder but not as a foundation. I liked the finish it left and my face didn't get shiny for most of the day but it's £50 I couldn't spend on a powder.

I would recommend this to people who want a really light coverage, who just need that layer but don't have spots or blemishes that the make up needs to cover.
