LIFESTYLE: MOTHERS DAY GIFT IDEAS

I've put together a few really lovely gift ideas for Mothers Day, I love treating those that I love and buying people gifts. I'm one of those annoying people that gets so excited about getting someone a present that i've usually either told them what i've got them or make them open it early.

First up cheap Mothers Day flowers, it's so lovely to recieve flowers for special occasions and I know my mum loves getting flowers so I've ordered her this gorgeous bouquet from Blossoming Gifts. They have a huge selection of flowers to choose from. My mum loves lillies so I picked out this gorgeous bouquet of Roses and Lillies. They smell amazing. You get a really lovely quality bouquet of flowers, there's lots of Roses and Lillies and some lovely green bits to bulk it out. You may have seen my recent Valentines review in collaboration with Blossoming Gifts, if not you can see it here  The roses lasted nearly 3 weeks which I thought was amazing. They have a great selection to choose from and a variety of prices and options to choose from. Be sure to have a good browse as they have some really good deals dotted around the site aswell like the bouquet I picked out had £10 off so was only £26 instead of £36.

Make sure to use my discount code BGIFTS33 to get 33% off a bouquet

Next up my mom loves it when I pick out some make up bits for her, I tend to give her stuff out of my own collection that I don't use or I like to pick her up some affordable bits and pieces. MeMeMe is a really affordable brand and they have a huge selection of products on their website. I have used some of their products before and the quality is so good for the price. This bronzer looks gorgeous and the lipstick is a really lovely everyday shade. If your on the hunt for some affordable make up i'd recommend checking MeMeMe out.

This is my absolute favourite candle, I love the scent, it's the Neom Happiness Travel Candle from Amara, it smells so good and fresh. It's such a lovely spring scent so it would make a perfect mothers day gift. The Neom Candles last for ages, the travel size has approximately 20 hours burn time.

Check out this Kate Spade note pad, i'm in love with Kate Spade Stationary,( well anything Kate Spade really) The Amara website has lots of lovely Kate Spade things to choose from. They stock everything from stationary to Umbrellas, to side plates.

The Nordal Gold Standing Frame from the Amara website is such a lovely frame. You could pop a lovely photo of you and your mum inside, this would make a really nice thoughtful gift. I like that you can open the frame up so you could put anything inside like theater tickets or special memories

Smellies! Who doesn't love smellies. My mum loves her body butters and bath cremes. These ones smell incredible. They are from Cafe De Bain which is a really really affordable brand in Superdrug. They look really expensive and as I said smell so good so even if your on budget you can still treat your mom this Mothers Day.

I'm loving my Deliciously Ella Every Day Recipe book, I think it would make a really great gift for Mothers Day especially if your mom likes following new recipes. The book is full of vegan recipes that are really easy to follow.

For those creative mums out there the The Stampin Up Watercolor Wishes card kit is a fab gift idea. Inside you get lots of card, stamps, sequins etc to make some really awesome cards. The kit is £31.50 but it's all really lovely quality. They have washes of watercolour paint on the card which makes them look really really good. Inside you get 20 cards and lots of sequins and washi tape create some really amazing cards.

FASHION: 3 WAYS TO WEAR A STRIPED TSHIRT

Okay, so I thought i'd show you guys how I like to wear a striped tee, I have so many stripey tops and love stripes so much. I've put together 3 different outfit ideas to show different ways you can wear a striped tee, I tend to live in my Black skinny jeans right now and need to start wearing some of my other clothes.

JACKET: NEW LOOK // TSHIRT: MONKI // JEANS: NEW LOOK // TRAINERS: NIKE // BELT : PRIMARK

This is one of my favourite outfits right now, i'm loving my Nike Roshe Runs, I got them in America and they were one of my best buys. I know I just said that I want to stop wearing just my black skinny jeans and a tshirt but sometimes it's just so easy. I think along with my leather jacket this creates a cool sporty everyday look.

SKIRT: PRIMARK // LEATHER JACKET ; NEW LOOK // TSHIRT: MONKI // BOOTS: NEW LOOK // BAG : PRIMARK

I love this outfit, I got this skirt from Primark. It's a little bit tight but i'm hoping to loose those love handles and my podge so it will hopefully fit again soon. I just wish it was a little bit more comfy. I think the tan suede effect looks so so good with stripes and I think it works so well. I love A Line skirts right now and I think they will be sticking around this spring/ summer. I want to invest in a nice denim a-line skirt and maybe a black one.

COAT: STRADIVARIUS // TSHIRT: MONKI // JEANS: NEW LOOK // SHOES: PRIMARK // SUNGLASSES : PRIMARK

I loveee these photos, I love my coat from Stradivarius, I picked it up when we went to Dublin. I'm so glad I got it, i'd been looking for one like this for ages! I think this jacket with the stripe tee and my red lip is so Parisian and I love it, it's just such a classy look and it works so well. I love these cat eye sunglasses aswell, they were so cheap a great bargain from Primark.

LIFESTYLE: PLACES WE'VE VISITED BY CAR

Manchester Cathedral

I have been so lucky to be able to travel so many places, we've recently been to London a couple of times and we went to Manchester not that long ago. I absolutely love going to new places and seeing new things. It's so easy to just jump in the car and travel to somewhere new and see new things. We really like to take advantage of our days off and jump in our little Chevrolet Matiz, even if it's just for a few hours and we do some shopping, we recently went to Derby as they have a big shopping center and we wanted to check it out. I loved going to Manchester, they have a really cool shopping center and lots of things to do. I love going to Stratford Upon Avon, it's not too far from Birmingham and there's so much to do! I love visiting the Butterfly Farm and walking along the River in the sun. One of the most important things to do if your going on a long journey is making sure your car is up to the journey. If your car is used to running round town driving you to work and back a long journey without checking your car for worn tyres or low water can cause some problems once your on the road. If your on the motorway breaking down can be really dangerous as you may not be able to make it to the hard shoulder and also expensive, if you don't have breakdown cover a recovery truck can cost a lot of money which you may not have budgeted for. Having defective tyres can also result in a hefty fine, driving with defected tyres could cost you up to £2500 and 3 points on your license, as a new driver 3 points is loads!! . If you are going on a long journey I'd recommend having your tyres checked out, even if it's just for your peace of mind, they might be fine but it's worth making sure your car is safe. My local Point S center in Birmingham is literally just around the corner and they have centers all over the UK, you can even order your tyres online so you know they will have them in stock. They also have loads of information over on the their website so you can find out more about tyres how to check your own tyres and how to change your own tyres if like me you haven't got a clue.

I have actually been a passenger in a car that broke down on the motorway, one of the tyres blew out on the motorway and the person driving managed to pull over onto the hard shoulder safetly however
we were waiting for a breakdown truck for a long time as he didn't have the right tools to get his tyre off on the roadside, it was really scary and can be really dangerous waiting on the side of a dark road.
The type of alloy he had actually required a specialist tool to get the tyre off which the breakdown man that came to recover us didn't have, we were along way from home so he recovered the car and took us to a nearby hotel where we were able to park the car, to recover the car back to Birmingham was going to be really expensive so  we actually had to get a train home which cost us alot of money and then he managed to get the right tool and sort the tyre out himself the next day. It meant we had to get a train home and pay for parking and the recovery truck to the hotel. We had been to Thorp Park and was so so tired, we had to travel for over 2 hours on a train to get home.

Here's a few photos of our trips in the UK, where do you like to travel too?

We stayed in a lovely cottage in wales

Day trip to Weston
Our most recent trip was to Watford, we visited The Harry Potter Studio Tour

FASHION: OUTFIT GREY DRESS AND LEATHER JACKET

DRESS: PRIMARK // LEGGINGS: NEW LOOK // JACKET: NEW LOOK // BOOTS : NEW LOOK* // BAG: PRIMARK

I picked this dress up in Primark a couple of weeks ago and i've worn it a few times now. It's just so easy to throw on with a leather jacket. It's so comfy. I love it. I'm trying to do more outfit posts/ fashion blog posts so let me know what kind of posts you want to see. I will still be featuring lots of beauty and lifestyle too. I tend to buy highstreet clothing as I don't really spend lots of money on fashion as I love shopping and i'm always buying new things.

I love this background for my outfit photos too, I want to try and find some really cool places to take my outfit photos.

BEAUTY: MY HOLYGRAIL BEAUTY PRODUCTS

As a beauty blogger I get sent alot of products to review and I also hear about alot of products via other bloggers and like to try them for myself however I have a few products that I always go back to and repurchase or I stick to so I thought i'd share some of my holygrail products and see what you think.

I mentioned the Lee Stafford Bleach Blondes range recently when I was reviewing the Lee Stafford Coco Loco range. I have repurchased the Bleach Blondes shampoo and conditioner and the everyday shampoo a couple of times now. The range is really good at keeping those brassy tones out. The range is really affordable and if like me you have warm tones coming through then you need to get your hands on this one. Selected Lee Stafford products are on 2 for £10 right now at Boots

I bought my first Urban Decay Naked Palette a while ago now and Clint bought me another for Christmas last year, I reach for this palette all the time. It's so easy to use and really versatile. You can create so many different eye looks and the quality is amazing, for £38 you get 12 amazing shades, a mixture of mattes and shimmers. They blend so easily aswell making them great for beginners.

If you have been following my blog for a long time then you will have seen the Rimmel Exaggerate eye liner time and time again. It's my favourite eye liner, I have really sensitive eyes and I know I get on with this one and i've never had any issues, I find it really easy to apply and it's really affordable. I've been repurchasing this for years now.

Mac Velvet Teddy is worth the hype, I promise you! It's creamy, it's the perfect nude. I always reach for Velvet Teddy. It's one of my favourite lipsticks and i'm so glad I picked it up. I know that as soon as mine is all gone that I'll have to repurchase it.

Lasting Perfect concealer by Collection is one of my all time favourites. I always have one, even if i'm trying others, I recently gave the Urban Decay Naked concealer a try but will always have a Lasting Perfection in my stash.

The Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish is my all time favourite I have done numerous reviews here, here and here  it's my go to cleanser, I always have one in my bathroom and go back to it time and time again.

I've included Bioderma because I won a years supply of Bioderma and I think once i've ran out I will have to repurchase it as it's become a must have in my routine. I always reach for Bioderma for a first cleanse before I do my main cleanse.
