LIFESTYLE: ACCESSORIZING YOUR HOME

We have been living in our flat for a couple of months now and I did a flat tour when we first moved in. We've recently brought a few bits and pieces to accessorize the flat and really make it our own. I'm so happy with it right now and love the little touches we've added. Our landlord came round last weekend and she seemed really happy and impressed with what we've done.

I thought i'd show you some of my favourite bits of the flat and some of my favourite accessories.
This top image is my bedside table in our bedroom, I love the bed frame, it's from Ikea. I wanted this bed for ages. I got this lamp from B&Q, I love the colour it's so bright and looks perfect in our bedroom. It a bargain at £20! I'm reading Girl Online On Tour right now so that's next to my bed.
I picked up this bedding from Primark recently which I absolutely love!! I recently got a new duvet because my old one was to small for our new bed. I can't believe how much difference a nice new duvet made to our bed and our bedroom, it looks so much better. The Duvet Store have a huge range of duvets. They stock so many different sizes, even emperor sizes. They also have different togs and comforts and a huge selection to choose from whether your after Anti Allergy or Coolmax technology.

This is the desk in my office, My office is a bit small because we have huge sliding wardrobes so I like that my desk is small. I got this noteboard from Primark, I don't want to ruin the walls by sticking loads of stuff to them so I use this for my inspirational quotes. The Copper bowl and copper wire rack thing are both from Tiger. The faux plant and plant pot are from Ikea.

OUTFIT POST: STRIPE BRETON FROM MONKI

TOP: MONKI // JEANS: NEW LOOK // JACKET: NEW LOOK // BOOTS: NEW LOOK

I picked this top up this weekend when we went to London, I wish we had a Monki in Birmingham. I've been browsing the asos website since we visited Monki. We did a spot of shopping today, I wanted to go and have a look at the New Look sale because I got an email about new items being added to the sale and I spotted a lovely top online but I couldn't find it in store so I'll have to order it online.  I picked up a couple of cook / recipe books from Whsmith, I got the Deliciously Ella book and The Hairy Dieters. I'm so excited to follow the recipes and cook some amazing food. We was on our way back to the carpark and Clint remembered it's his moms birthday tomorrow so picked her up a birthday car and present.

BEAUTY: MY SKINCARE UPDATE

I've been sticking to some trusty favourites throughout december and january but i've also been using a few new additions. My skins been really bad and dehydrated for the last couple of months so i've been using hydrating skincare to get the moisture into my skin.

I've been using the Rossi rice bran and borage seed oil cleansing oil to cleanse and moisturise the skin. I've been applying it with a cotton pad to get my make up off and using a toner afterwards which works really well. I've been using this more on the night than in the morning because I have an oily t-zone anyway I try not to use to much oil in the morning. It' so gentle and soothes the skin.

I am using the Rossi Cleansing oil along side my long term faithful Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, Clint got me the Pink Pepper and Mint version for Christmas and I love it! It smells so amazing and it's so creamy and soft. I love Cleanse and Polish it's my go to cleanser and leaves my skin feeling so clean.

I've just jumped on the Pixi Glow Tonic bandwagon, what was I waiting for. It's lovely it's gentle but does the job, it leaves my skin glowing and feeling firmer. It also removes any dead skin which leaves the skin looking healthier. I think my skins been feeling grey and dead and this is what I needed to bring that glow back and get rid of all that dead skin.

The Caudalie Premier Cru The Elixr* has been one of my favourites for a little while now. I mentioned it in my winter favourites post. I use this most nights to lock that moisture in before you apply your moisturiser.

And once again i'm raving on about the Vichy Idealia day and night creams. Skin Sleep is a lovely light night cream that is so moisturising and such a lovely cream. The day cream is again lightweight, i'm not keen on really thick creams and it leaves my skin feeling really soft and smooth ready to apply my make up.

BEAUTY: LUSH HAUL

HELLO! So I went to London over the weekend to watch Matilda and couldn't help myself when I spotted a huge LUSH on oxford street. I was so overwhelmed by everything, there is 3 floors of LUSH goodness and they have a LUSH spa on the bottom floor. I headed upstairs to find the bubble bars and bath bombs. I had heard there are some exclusives to the Oxford Street store so I hunted for them and I wanted to pick up a few of the Valentines bits and pieces.

I haven't used any of them just yet but I thought i'd show you what I picked up so you can head on over to the website or to your local store and check these bad boys out!

Unicorn Horn is one of the Valentines Bubble Bars, I remember this one from last year, Lover Lamp is a newbie for the Valentines collection. It's a bath bomb which smells of vanilla and orange and the love hearts contains cocoa butter.

Intergalactic is one of my favourites, its just a pretty bath bomb and your bath will look AMAZING, this is a very instagrammable bath! And so is the Experimenter, another really cool bath bomb. Your bath will look so good! These are great for the kids!

My favourite product right now is my Rose Jam shower gel which I should have stocked up on so i've been buying these Rose Jam Bubbleroons because they smell so good!

Now on to the Lush Oxford Street Exclusives theres Cyanide Pill which is the yellow and white pill looking bath bomb, it smells like Cyanide, a bitter Almond scent.

Theres also Sacred Lotus bath bomb which has hints of Neroli and Jasmine.  Flowering Tea resuable bubble bar is one of my favourites because it looks like a teabag this is a zesty scent.

I hope you like my picks and if your ever in London I would recommend a visit to the Oxford Street store to check out those exclusives. The staff are great! I had really great service from Lotti who helped me find the Exclusives and was really lovely, ( hope you enjoy your holiday next week) and great service from Alika on the tills aswell.

BEAUTY : MY EVERYDAY MAKE UP

I've been working alot recently so my make ups been pretty boring, just an everyday make up look so I thought i'd share some of my favourite everyday products.

I like to start with my base so right now i'm using the Vichy Dermablend foundation in Porcelain* as my everyday foundation, it's good coverage and really easy to use. It blends so easily which is great for when your in a hurry in the morning. I like that this is a little lighter than my usual foundations because it looks really natural. I'm using the Urban Decay Naked skin concealer to hide any blemishes and then the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer for under my eyes to cover those dark circles.

Contour and highlight. I pretty much reach for this Nars Limited Edition palette, inside is the Laguna Bronzer which is perfect for everyday as its a matte ashy shade and then I have a choice of Blushers and the highlight all together again making my routine faster.

My favourite mascara right now, but it's nearly all gone is the Make Up Forever Smoky Lash *, it gives you nice fluffy smokey lashes. I love it. wish just a couple of strokes my lashes are long but full. I'm still loving the Topshop Kohl liner, I struggle as my eyes are sensitive but this is a lovely creamy liner, it lasts a good few hours and is a bargain. And another trusty faithful is the Rimmel Exaggerate eyes liquid liner, I only buy this liquid liner, I find it easy to apply and again I know my eyes won't react to it.

For my brows i'm using a mixture of the NYX Micro brow pencil, I picked up some NYX bits from The Clothes Show and now you can get it from Selfridges yay!! I'm also still loving the Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade to fill my brows in.

The Urban Decay Smoky palette is my new go to palette for everyday and there's so many shades to choose from.

And my favourite everyday lip colour is still Velvet Teddy from Mac, which I will need to repurchase soon as mine is looking a little worse for wear.
