CHRISTMAS: LAST MINUTE BEAUTY GIFT IDEAS

AHHH ITS NEARLY CHRISTMAS! I work in retail and i'm working today and tomorrow so i've finished all of my shopping and it's all wrapped and ready for Friday. However I know not all of you are finished just yet so i've put together some little last minute beauty bits that you can easily pick up on the highstreet.

First up is Liz Earle and her Limited Christmas Edition Cleanse and Polish, you can pick this up from your local department store, my Local John Lewis has a lovely counter, selected Boots stores and you can order online until midday today if you select Special Delivery Next Day. Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish is my all time favourite Cleanser, it's suitable for all skin types and is a lovely gentle cleanser so it would be perfect for anyone.

The Body Shop have some great gift sets in at Christmas and they really do have something for everyone. From shower gels, to body butter, make up to essential oils. I thought i'd include the swinging silver eyeshadow palette. The Body Shop Make Up is cruelty free and they have a huge selection of products and shades so your sure to find something.

If you still have most of your shopping to do and your after some beauty gifts then head down to your local Boots store, they have 3 for 2 across their gifts and they stock such a great selection of brands. The No 7 Star Bauble is such a lovely little stocking filler, inside is a nail polish.

These Cafe De Bain Goodies would make a great addition to any stocking, they are really affordable and have a great selection of scents. They are avaliable at Superdrug and Waitrose, you could pick them up whilst your buying your sprouts for your Christmas dinner.

Another great place for cheap last minute gifts is Poundland, I always go there and fill my basket with little bits and pieces, right now they have some really great American Sweets and chocolates which i've put in Clint's Stocking. They also have a great range of haircare and bath products etc. You could put together a really nice basket of goodies for any beauty fan and fill it with their favourite everyday essentials. You can include these amazing Argan Oil products, they sound great and smell amazing.

I know, I know I keep talking about LUSH but they have some really great Christmas Gifts. You can check out my Lush blog post here, where I have featured a huge selection of products. I love the Comfort and Joy Gift set, it has some really great products inside.

CHRISTMAS DAY TRADITIONS WITH WHITE STUFF

Everyone has their own Christmas Traditions, I've loved getting into the Christmas spirit this month and though i'd share some of my Christmas Traditions.

This is my first year of living in my own place so usually my parents would put the Christmas Tree up a week or so into December but I put it up on the 1st of the month and have loved having it up and it's made the flat feel cosy and Christmassy so I thnk this will be a new tradition. As its our first Christmas we've had to buy all our decorations and the tree, I love these little decorations* from White Stuff, they are cute little christmas characters. my favourite is Percy Penguin. *

I usually start my Christmas Shopping in the last week or so of November and shop up to Christmas, I tend to wrap as I go and I pop the presents under the tree and then we visit family in the run up to Christmas and give out the presents.

This year Christmas Day is a little different, usually I spend Christmas at home and Clint spends most of the day at his and then we see eachother on the night but this year we are going to Clints in the morning and having a small Christmas dinner there and then to my parents late afternoon and having our proper dinner there. I usually spend all day in my pj's and watch films and eat far too much chocolate, this year because were visiting and spending christmas with eachothers family I'll have to get dressed. I want to wear something comfy but look like i've made an effort. This tunic from White Stuff *is perfect, the textured design almost looks glittery and looks really pretty, the colour is a dark navy shade and really easy to wear. The tunic is a heavy jersey style material and is so easy to wear, it's really cosy and comfy and perfect for Christmas Day! I've just popped on a thick pair of tights and my suede boots* from New Look which have a little heal to dress the Tunic up a little bit, i've added this gorgeous statement necklace* from Cherry Diva. You could easily dress this Tunic down with some leggings or jeans with trainers or boots and a everyday cardigan.

What are your Christmas Traditions?  I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

CHRISTMAS GIFTS FROM LUSH

It's nearly Christmas!! If you are struggling what to get that special someone whether its your girlfriend, mom, sister or just a friend theres so much to choose from at LUSH

I have to say it's very rare for someone not to like LUSH, I bought Clint some Lush goodies for Christmas last year I think as we both love a good lush bath.

Lush have got some amazing gift sets as usual they range in price so you can determine how much you want to spend and see what sets are available. If the person your shopping for is more of a LUSH fan and you want to spend abit more they have gift sets ranging between £10 - £130+ and theres plenty of choice. I picked out the Comfort and Joy* set  as this retails at £19.95 and is more of a shower gift set, so if your shopping for someone who prefers a shower over a bath this set is perfect, inside theres two shower gels, a body conditioner and a soap. It's all wrapped nicely and just such a perfect gift.

I also liked the Santas Belly* gift set, I like that its a round shape and think this would be a really hard present to guess. Inside is a Santas belly shower jelly and Santa Fun, which you can use to make shapes and just play with in the bath, this would be an ideal set for a younger person like a little sister or cousin.

I picked out a range of bath bombs and bubble bars to include aswell, if you'd rather pick out your own products you can do this too! There's so much choice and the Christmas products from Lush are always my fave!
My personal favourites are the Yog Nog Bath Bomb and Luxury Lush Pud! This year i'm really looking forward to giving The Magic of Christmas Bubble Bar ago! It smells amazing!
The little peeping santa is so cute ! and The Father Christmas Bath Bomb is a lovely candy floss scent so if you know someone who loves sweet scents, maybe someone who likes Snow Fairy, they would enjoy this one. Golden Wonder is a really fun one aswell, it's really colourful and smells so so good.

I was given some samples last time I popped into my local lush aswell, I tried the Old Father Time Soap which is a lovely herby scent, I just love the Lush Soaps. I also tried the Snowcake soap which is a sweet marzipan scent again another perfect one for someone who likes a sweet scent, This one lathers up really well. I love The icing on the cake roulade, it lathers up and leaves the skin feeling so so soft, again such a sweet scent.

I love going into LUSH the staff are so friendly, especiialy the ones at my local LUSH in Solihull, they always offer so much advice and show you all the products. I love testing the products in store before I buy them, you get to try abit of everything and smell everything. If you want to get a gift for someone you can pop into store and let them know your budget and what kind of smells they like etc and they will help you pick out the perfect gift.

* above i have featured some pr samples aswell as some products i have bought myself. i have not been paid for this post, i have been honest and all opinions are my own

BEAUTY: WINTER FAVOURITES

I actually can't remember the last time I wrote a favourites blog post, I am loving so many new products right now and I thought i'd share some of my thoughts with you guys.

First up is the Clarins Instant light lip oil*, in Raspberry. This leaves a really subtle pink gloss on the lips. your lips feel full of moisture and so smooth, not tacky or sticky. I love this and it comes in a clear shade - honey aswell. So so perfect for the winter months.

Vichy Idealia day cream *and skin sleep* have become my new daily moisturisers. They are so lovely on the skin. They leave my skin feeling plump and full of moisture. I really struggled with my skin for a while but these have worked wonders. My skin feels so fresh radiant and glowing.

Rose Jam Shower Gel by Lush, is soooo good! It smells amazing and leaves the skin clean and soft. What more could you want from a Shower Gel. I never really used the Shower Gels before but right now i'm also loving The Comforter and Twilight, I got these in one of the gift sets, they are such lovely scents.

Honestly I think my hair could do with a trim, the ends are getting abit worse for wear but i've been using the Fudge Urban Tropical Cocktail miracle ends to give them a little bit of life. I find when i'm curling my hair in particular my ends can look abit dry and not great so I've been using a small amount of this into dry hair just to revive my ends.

The Neals Yard Remedies White Tea Facial Mist is such a lovely product. It smells so good and you can spritz it onto your face to refresh your make up or under your base to hydrate the skin and even your base. I love it so much its such a gorgeous product.

An oil is a must have for the winter months. using an oil every evening is the perfect way to get that moisture into your skin. Caudalie Premier Cru The Elixr* has to be the best oil i've used. I love the Clarins ones aswell but I always reach for this one. It smells amazing! Its a part serum part oil based product and it's full of plant based oils and natural ingredients.

Vichy Dermablend* is my new everyday foundation. Its amazing! The coverage is great, they have a great selection of shades, including porcelain which is super light, great for paler skintones. The coverage is really good but the product blends in so well and leaves your skin looking natural but flawless. I love this! I can't believe how good it is. I will be buying this again and again, its suitable for all skin types and will be perfect for the summer aswell as it contains spf 35

The Naked concealer from Urban Decay was something I wanted to try for awhile. I'm slightly gutted that I feel the shade I have is too dark but i'm still using it everyday.  I will pick it up in a lighter shade. This covers my under eye perfectly, it doesn't crease but leaves the under eye looking flawless, it reduces fine lines and leaves under the bright and radiant. This concealer is really light weight which is perfect for under the eye but really build-able making it suitable for everyone.
