AD BEAUTY: ULTIMATE TIPS FOR CLEANSING YOUR SKIN

I thought i'd put together a blog post with a few tips to follow when cleansing your skin. These are all things you can do at home and without breaking the bank.

You should clean your face everyday! Ideally in the morning before you put any make up on and at the end of the day to remove make up and any dirt and grime. Make sure your hands are clean before you start to wash your face.

Double cleanse! - This is one of the most important tips I can share. Even if you don't wear make up everyone should double cleanse. The first cleanse clears out the dirt and impurities from your skin and the second cleanse actually cleans your skin.

When cleansing your skin you should use warm water, not hot water( this dries out the skin) with a cleanser, right now i'm using the Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser for my first cleanse and then The Body Shop Cleansing balm for my second cleanse. You should follow the directions as instructed on your preferred cleanser. I apply the Cetaphil cleanser to the skin and massage gently, using clean warm water to rinse and then pat dry with a clean towel.

Exfoliate - Exfoliating is like a deep clean, it unclogs pores and removes dead skin/cells. I like to use a gentle exfoliating cleanser which you can massage into the skin and rinse away the dirt and impurities. I only do this a couple of times a week.

Avoid using face up wipes. Yes they are quick and easy but not so great for the skin.

Don't rush! Take a few extra minutes to ensure you have thoroughly cleaned your skin and got rid of all of the grime we pick up during the day. Why not look into facial massage and spend a little extra time and make the most of it. You should spend at least 3 minutes removing the dirt and then washing your face.

I like to keep my make up brushes clean and fresh, I also regularly change my pillow cases and flannels and towels to ensure everything I use on my face is clean. This is a good way to prevent a build up of dirt.

What are your top tips for cleansing your skin? Do you have a holy grail cleanser?

[GIFTED] REVIEW: THIS WORKS MORNING EXPERT RANGE

Here's my thoughts on the This Works Morning Expert range. I have a few items from the range and couldn't believe I hadn't reviewed them already. I've been using these for a little while now. I think this is a great range and have been loving the products. I wanted to share my thoughts and how i've been getting on with them.

My favourite product from the collection is the Hyaluronic serum, it's so light and sinks into the skin really fast to hydrate and brighten skin. You can use daily on the skin to maximise the pumping effect. I really like this product is smells lovely and isn't greasy it just goes on without any effort. It's gentle and I really notice that my skin appears firmer when I use this.

Next is the Morning Expert Open Eyes, eye cream. I love the applicator for this product, it makes it super easy to apply and the metal applicator leaves the eye area feeling cool. This leaves the eye area appearing more awake and reduces the appearance of dark circles.

Finally the Morning Expert Multi Acid Pads, I really like these and they are super easy to use. Again can be used daily to exfoliate and enhance skin resurfacing, unclog pores and minimize morning shine. They are really nice and gentle and I think they are an easy way to add acids into regime.

Make sure you check out the bundles on the This Works website for some super amazing savings!

[GIFTED] BEAUTY: THIS WORKS LOVE SLEEP RANGE

THIS WORKS LOVE SLEEP RANGE

If you've followed me for a while you will know i'm a huge fan of This Works and they're products. I especially love their deep sleep pillow spray! Today i'm sharing their new Love Sleep range! I haven't tried it all yet but thought i'd share the collection with you as it's the perfect range for Valentines Day  next week.

First up is the Love Sleep Pillow Spray, as I mentioned above i'm a huge fan of their Deep Sleep Pillow spray so I was super excited when I spotted a new version. First up the packaging is new, the bottle is much nicer and feels more expensive. The new range has a new scent of Ylang Ylang and Patchouli to get you in the mood and encapsulated deep sleep fragrance to support a restful nights sleep.

Next is the Love Sleep Breathe In, very similar to the Pillow Spray but you roll on to your pulse points and breath in deeply. A sensual blend of Ylang Ylang, Patchouli and Frankincense leaves skin feeling nourished and encourages relaxation.

The Love Sleep Bedroom Blend is an essential oil, just add a few drops to a diffuser or tissue, proven to relax and calm to make way for sleep and intimacy.

Finally is the Seduction Candle.  I have to say i'm a fan of candles in the bedroom. It calms me, I hate having harsh lighting on in the bedroom, I prefer candle light to get me in the mood. The Seduction Candle is perfect for this as it promotes a sense of wellbeing and the aromatheraputic blend will help switch you off and turn you on! The candle is lovely and smells gorgeous! I'm super excited to burn this and put it to the test!

The Love Sleep range sounds amazing! I'm super excited to give it a try. I'm quite an anxious person and struggle to switch off so this range sounds right up my street. I'm already a big fan of the deep sleep pillow spray and honestly I couldn't live without it. I use it all the time when I'm struggling to switch off. I can honestly say I spend far too much time on my phone in bed and I know that this is a huge factor into my poor sleep. I really struggle to switch off and end up scrolling. I'm going to test out the pillow spray and the candle first and see how they effect my mood in the bedroom, with Valentines day next week it couldn't have come at a better time.

[GIFTED] REVIEW: NAKIN FACE CREAM AND EYE CREAM COMPLEX

I've been using these products for a little while now and thought i'd share my thoughts on the products and how i'm getting on with them.

Nakin are an eco beauty brand, they cater for all ages and their award winning range is a luxurious natural skincare system of cleansers, moisturisers and treatments. They produce stunning high performance natural anti-aging skincare. The range is formulated with powerful natural anti-agers such as Hibiscus, Pomegranate, Seaweed and Hyaluronic Acid, as well as healing butters and rejuvenating areoils.

First up let's talk about the packaing! I'm loving the simple, clean packaging. The pots are glass which is lovely and makes the packaging feel nicer.

The Active Dew Face Cream comes in a very decent sized pot. It's great for sensitive or dry skin. My skin is dry and damaged from day to day life. I also have mildly sensitive skin. I sometimes have issues with natural skincare so I wasn't sure how I would get on with the range but i've had absolutely no problems at all. The cream is very light and sinks into the skin beautifully and quickly. It leaves the skin feeling super soft and plump. I have noticed that my skin seems to feel healthier and more hydrated since using this cream. It retails at £20 which I think is really reasonable as its a good size pot, it's a lightweight formula so you don't need to use alot of product and you are getting a product that is... 98% natural and formulated without parabens, SLES, retinol, propylene glycol and artificial colour and fragrance,Vegan & cruelty-free face cream, Leaping Bunny registered, Gluten free and Wheat free.

The Eye Cream Complex is similar in consistency but maybe a little lighter. It again goes on beautifully and sinks into the skin really well. The Natural Anti-Aging Eye Cream Complex is a  natural anti-ageing eye cream that uses the wonder of natural science, with the array of potent plant oils and extracts, to immerse skin with replenishment, nutrients and hydration. It works wonders to help reduce dark circles, lines and puffy eyes.  I've noticed that my dark circles are much less visible and my eyes feel plumper. I don't really have fine lines yet but the skin around my eyes are lovely and smooth and look so much better. I was always super paranoid about my dark circles and would put loads of concealer on but recently I've found myself applying less as i'm less conscious about them now. Again the Eye cream comes in a cute little glass pot which is lovely. It's smaller than the moisturiser which is usually the case but you literally only need a super tiny amount so this pot will last ages. Again at £18 I think this is a really reasonable price for the quality of this product.

I might have a browse of the website and try a few more products. I like the sound of their cleansing milk, so want to give that a try. They also have a selection of gift sets which are a great value for money. The face serum is another product that I like the sound of!

BEAUTY: THIS WORKS PERFECT BODY RANGE

I've been loving the This Works perfect body range and though i'd share my thoughts on the collection so far.  I've been using these products for a few weeks now and wanted to let you know how i'm getting on.

First up is my favourite product from the range, Perfect Legs Skin Miracle! OMG this product is amazing!! It's a moisturiser for your legs and it leaves them feeling super soft and hydrated. Enriched with Vitamin C and E to even out skin tone and restructure the skin, caramel for a warmth adding tint and Arnica to even out skin tone and fade brusing. It's leaves the legs feeling super soft and hydrated and leaves them with a subtle glow! It's just gorgeous! It's blends in so well so leaves no streaks. It gives you a soft, natural glow. You can actually use this all over too!

Along side the Perfect Legs Skin miracle I use the Perfect Legs 100% Natural scrub, this is an exfoliating balm which naturally exfoliates and restores moisture! I like to use it every few days/ once a week to get rid of any dullness. It smells incredible too and is an Eco-friendly scrub. Use this and the Perfect Legs Skin Miracle for the most amazing pins ever!!

The Perfect Cleavage Firming lotion is lovely, it's a lightweight moisturiser designed for the sensitive skin on the neck and chest! This is an area that women find goes wrinkly and can cause us to look older that we want to let on. Apply this daily to brighten, tighten, firm, and nourish damaged skin. This is an area that can be overlooked when applying moisturiser. I've been using this for  afew weeks and it's just such a lovely product.

Last but not least is the Perfect Heels Rescue Balm. This product is perfect for bringing back the moisture and repairing damaged heels and feet. Massage it into the skin to combat dry cracked heels. It's a nice product not too greasy/ balmy. It dries into the skin well and quickly, I tend to pop it on before bed or if i'm wearing sandals I will apply it during the day.

There's loads of great offers on right now so head over to the This Works website to check out the Perfect body range!

[AD]: URBAN VEDA RADIANCE HYDRATING RANGE

I've been loving the Radiance hydrating range from Urban Veda, it's perfect for the warmer weather were having as it really hydrates the skin. The range includes a day and night cream, hydrating toner and even a body wash and body lotion. I've been using the radiance day cream and radiance hydrating toner so thought i'd share my thoughts.

First up both products smell incredible, even Clint has commented on the scent as it's just so lovely. It's a fresh, clean, floral smell, it's just gorgeous but not overpowering. The range is enriched with brightening Tumeric extract to brighten even the dullest complexion.

The day cream is light-weight which is perfect for the summer months, it dries into the skin super quick and preps the skin ready for the day. UrbanVeda Tumeric is designed to naturally balance environmental factors with botanicals to help skin lock in moisture and retain it's natural glow. The papaya and Goji berry extract is enriched with a cell-repairing amino-acid complex to help correct signs of hyperpigmentation, boost complexion and balance skin tone. I've noticed a real difference in my skin, it has more of a natural glow and feels more plump and hydrated. I've also noticed the wrinkles on my forehead appear less prominent, this is due to the Ayurvedic arjuna extract which is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

The hydrating toner is lovely, I apply it to the skin with a cotton pad in circular motions as instructed. It removes all traces of make up and balances the PH level of your skin to boost hydration. It's a really lovely, gentle product. It doesn't sting and leaves the skin feeling really clean and subtle. Again the Tumeric, Papaya and Goji berry work together to hydrate and brighten the skin.

I'm really enjoying the range so far and have noticed a real difference to my skin straight away. I have been using both products morning and evening, I think I will invest in the night cream as the day cream is lovely and i'm sure it won't disappoint. If you shop over on Fragrance Direct right now you can Save 10% if you spend £50 and you can also get a free gift if you buy 2 or more products from Urban Veda.

BEAUTY: MY SPRING MAKE UP COLLECTION

I thought i'd share a few bits from my make up collection. These are a few of the bits i'm using this spring. I'm really loving the blush pink trend that seems to be everywhere, fashion, interiors and beauty is no exception.

I've been loving the Fenty beauty foundation, it's a build-able,  medium to full coverage foundation. I love the soft matte finish. It's only £26 which I think is really affordable for a higher end foundation, I've had it since Christmas and I still have loads left. I went into Harvey Nichols to get matched up and it's the perfect shade.

I've had this Clarins Ombre Matte Eyeshadow for a little while and really need to start using it more. It's a cream to powder eyeshadow so it's lightweight and easy to apply but finishes and lasts like a powder shadow.

The Ariana Grande perfume is one of my favourite perfumes, it's a lovely sweet fruity scent.

I've been using a couple of new mascaras recently. The Benefit Roller Lash mascara is so good and makes my lashes really long. I've also been using the Maybelline Total Temptation mascara which is good for length but also adds volume to your lashes.

My favourite concealer is the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. I've used it for years and love it. I have tried lots of other concealers but this is just such a bargain and such a good product.

I'm also loving the Soap and Glory Supercat liquid eyeliner and the Fenty Beauty Matchstix shimmer skinstick is such a lovely product. I've been using a beauty blender to apply it and using it as a highlight / blusher.

Have you added some new products to your make up collection for spring? Whats your favourite make up right now I need to add some new bits to my collection. I really need a new highlighter as I don't really have any right now, whats your favourite highlighter?

REVIEW: BURTS BEES BABY BUBBLE BATH AND SHAMPOO

Incase you didn't know I recently had a baby, (HELLO AMELIA ) and I'm hoping to start featuring some kind of parenting / new baby type of blog posts. I want to write updates about Amelia and document this time as a new parent. I also want to write product reviews and share products that I would recommend buying and products that I think are a waste of money. I will still be featuring beauty, fashion and lifestyle on my blog and I will try and alternate my posts so it's not all baby posts or all beauty etc. Please give me some time to get back into blogging as I've been pretty absent since having Amelia as sitting down to blog is hard when you have a needy newborn who doesn't want to be put down

Today I want to review some of the Burts Bees baby range as this is pretty much what we've used on Amelia since she was born. I did try and refrain from using any products at all, just water for the first couple of weeks because her skin is quite sensitive. I found her hair was looking quite greasy and wanted to use a shampoo on her. We had quite a big selection of baby products to choose from ( she literally has more shampoo, bath products, cleansers, creams than me) I opted for Burts Bees because they are a natural brand and I was hoping she wouldn't have any kind of reaction to their products.
I tried the shampoo first and she seemed to be fine so I continued to use this. It cleans her hair well, it lathers up well and you only need a tiny bit so a little goes a long way. It smells nice, the fragrance is very subtle and gentle. I only need to wash her hair once, maybe twice a week ( shes quite a sicky baby and manages to get sick everywhere) This is also a wash you can use it all over which is very handy. It leaves Amelia's skin feeling soft and clean. We have a few other shampoo products to use up but I think I will repurchase the shampoo and wash as I know it works really well for Amelia. Burts Bees products are easy to get hold of as they are usually stocked in Boots and Holland and Barrett

Once we had used the shampoo and was happy that she didn't have any reactions etc we tried the bubble bath, I pretty much use this everytime she has a bath, again you only need a little bit as they don't have much water in the bath. It's a lovely fresh, gentle scent. It creates some lovely bubbles which makes bathtime a little more fun for your little one. You can use the suds to wash baby. Amelia loves bath time so it's nice to have lovely products like these to use one her.

Both of the products are mild and tear free so you don't have to worry too much about it going in their eyes. I have a few other products from the Burts Bees baby range to try and i'm looking forward to giving them ago.

BEAUTY: URBAN DECAY ALL NIGHTER FOUNDATION REVIEW

I've been using the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation for a while now, I've actually just repurchased it and realised that i'd never reviewed it on my blog. So I thought i'd share my thoughts with you and finally review it.

I have it in shade 2 which is a light shade, I was actually matched up a while ago but am still happy with this shade. It's a natural shade and I can easily use bronzer to add abit of colour. They have 24 shades to choose from

The packaging is gorgeous and I like that it has a pump and lid as you can easily throw it in your make up bag and you don't need to worry about accidents happening. The pump gives you a good amount of product, I find that one pump pretty much does my whole face. I tend to go for a natural coverage but I know my sister uses a few more pumps and builds up a fuller coverage. I use a buffing brush or sometimes a stippling brush to apply and I love the natural finish this gives. It's really easy to build up and if i'm having a bad skin day or going out I'll put a little more on for a fuller coverage.

The product blends really well and looks so natural. It's not cakey at all and doesn't sit on the skin. It sinks in well and leaves the skin looking flawless. I have quite dry skin with some combination areas and I find this works really well for me. It doesn't go patchy at all. It's so easy to apply and work into the skin. I use this along side my Collection lasting perfection concealer and it's the perfect base. It dries into the skin very fast and then i'll usually apply a setting powder and my contour for everyday.

As I mentioned above I've just repurchased this foundation and I don't do that very often.I quite like trying out different brands and foundations but I found this ticked all of the boxes and is a really good everyday foundation. I find it really easy to apply and it always looks good. I have had so many reviews about looking radiant and healthy since i've started using this foundation.

It's £29 for the bottle which I think is really reasonable and is much cheaper that foundations I was using before and the pump is already attached so you don't have to spend extra money buying this. I've used the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray before and really like this for nights out, i'd love to try out a few more bits and see what I think.

I have seen mixed reviews on this foundation so it's worth checking out a few reviews. As I mentioned above I have dry skin and I find it doesn't cling to any dry patches but I've seen reviews saying people don't get on well with it. Maybe try a sample first and see how your skin reacts. I took a risk and just picked it up in store and I love it.
