BEAUTY: URBAN DECAY NAKED SKIN CONCEALER

URBAN DECAY NAKED SKIN CONCEALER - £17.50*

I've been giving the Urban Decay Naked concealer a go! I recently got gifted a John Lewis voucher so I headed to the brand new John Lewis in Grand Central which is a new shopping center in Birmingham.

The packaging is gorgeous, it's a lovely glass tube with silver lid with a doupher applicator. It comes in a gold box which looks really fancy and looks really luxurious.

The concealer is really lovely, with it being part of the Naked collection you know your going to get a good natural finish, you can also build up the product to get a good fuller coverage finish. The concealer blends really easily and is a good full coverage formula. It covers up my blemishes and dark circles really well and I find it blends well with my foundation.

The shade I have was recommended for me on the counter but after using it a few times I think its a little dark as I like to use my concealer under the eye to brighten up the eye area. I would probably buy the lightest shade next time!

I will be repurchasing this concealer as I really want to try it out in a lighter shade. I love the consistency and think its a great natural concealer that's really easy to build up and it covers all of my spots and blemishes.

What do you think of the Naked Concealer? Have you tried any other good concealers?

REVIEW: NARS RADIANT CREAMY CONCEALER

I asked the #bbloggers what concealer should I try and so many people recommended the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer so I went and picked it up straight away.

I was going to pick up my usual collection lasting perfection concealer however no where had it in stock so then I was looking for an alternative drug store option. I didn't really want to spend that much but when so many people mentioned this one, I thought it must be worth the money. It was £22 which is alot more than i'd usually pay but it was a little treat.

I've been using it for a few weeks now and i'm so happy I got it. It's just so effortless and so easy to use. I've been applying my make up as usual and applying the concealer to my undereye and a few blemishes. I apply it using the wand and then using my buffing brush to blend it into my foundation.
It's so creamy and flawless, it really brightens the eye area. The coverage is really good and buildable.

I love it! i'm going to be repurchasing this! I'm hoping I can pick it up in Florida as it might be abit cheaper. I can see this being a new staple in my make up bag! It's so perfect, just what I want from a concealer.

REVIEW: THE BODY SHOP INSTABLUR EYE

THE BODY SHOP INSTABLUR EYE - RRP £10* - THE BODY SHOP

No one wants dark circles or tired looking eyes so The Body Shop have created the perfect all in one product to conceal the eye area aswell as enhancing your eyeshadow and it primes the eye lid.

This all in one product has a blurring texture that is created by adding together CFT Marula Oil and Spherical powder, together these products create a extra smoothing texture which has been developed for the sensitive skin around the eyes.

The product is a yellowish colour and the reason for this is the neutralising pigments conceal the blueness from dark circles under eyes and the redness on the lids, to enhance eyeshadow.

I'm loving this product, i've been using it for a couple of weeks. It feels lovely around the eyes, it's a lovely smooth texture which is great for around the eyes. I've found it works well at concealing my dark circles. The texture is very similar to primers i've used before, this one is very nice and combats oilyness on the lids to keep your eyeshadow looking vibrant and stop it from melting away or creasing.

At only £10 this is going to fly off the shelves, it's a great all round eye product. I think it's a great concealer and you only need a very small amount so the tube should last a while. The Body Shop Instablur Eye will be available from the 17th September

REVIEW: ecoTOOLS COLLECTOR'S BRUSH ROLL WITH MULTI-TASKING FACE BRUSH

 ecoTOOLS collector's brush roll with multi-tasking face brush - £11.99* - Boots

I'm a huge fan of ecoTOOLS make up brushes and have quite a few in my collection. Heres a couple of reviews Six Piece Starter Set and Bamboo Buffing and Concealer Brush.

I think they are such an amazing value for money. I tend to buy real techniques or ecoTOOLS.

The actual brush roll is really nice, its lightweight and rolls up really easily, I havent used a brush roll before but its so nice to have all of my brushes in one place. These are the ones I use the most.
The roll has words which you can use to pop particular brushes away so they are easy to find. This is a great idea if you use say a buffing brush for foundation and then another brush for blusher but you use the same brush this way you wont accidently pick up the wrong one.

I've been popping this in my bag when I stop at clints and it's not bulky at all, its a great way to store my favourites.

The brush that comes with the roll is a multi-tasking face brush which you could use to build up coverage or just for a light base. Its such a lovely brush. The bristles are so soft and nice on the skin.

The brushes vary in price but are about £8 so here your getting the brush and brush roll for only £12 which is a bargain. It's such a great value for money. I'd say its great for people starting out as mua's who don't really want to spend alot on a brush roll or if your doing someones make up for a wedding or an occasion, its a great way to store all your brushes and they are easy to get to.

You can buy ecoTOOLS brushes in store at Boots and Superdrug.

Review: ecoTools bamboo deluxe concealer brush and custom covering buffing brush

ecoTools bamboo deluxe concealer brush - boots - £5.49 *
ecoTools custom covering buffing brush - Amazon - £9.00 *

The concealer brush is a lovely little brush, it's easy to hold and use. I use this with my Mac studio fix concealer and my Collection lasting finish concealer. I apply the concealer onto my face using my finger and then use the brush to blend, it works really well and covers my blemishes. I would recommend this for £5

The buffing brush is a nice brush but it didn't really apply my foundation in a way that i was happy with. The bristles are a little too hard leaving lines on my face. I had to use my beauty blender to smooth out my foundation. I would however recommend this brush for contouring or for cream blushers.

Have you tried any of the ecoTools range?

REVIEW : SEVENTEEN PHWOARR PAINT

 Seventeen Phwoarr paint - £5.49 - Boots

I picked up this concealer in boot's the other day! The products were on offer so it worked out well for me to pick an extra item up and i'd seen a few bloggers raving about this and wanted to see what it was like.

For £5.49 I think you get a decent amount of product. The formula is abit tacky and sticky but once it's on your skin that goes away.

I've been applying this to my under-eye and my chin (problem area) and feel that it covers really well. It works really well on my under-eye and lasts really well too! It doesn't last as great on my chin and I've noticed it coming off throughout the day however it states it's an under-eye concealer so I suppose it doesn't state it's an all over concealer.

I really like this concealer and will be repurchasing this. I've actually been using this everyday over my mac concealer.

My Duty Free Purchases

Whilst I was in duty free I had a very quick look in Mac and was keeping an eye out for a new lipstick and I discovered Bombshell, It's a very similar lipstick to Angel but its more of a pink tone. Its a frost lipstick so it's a similar finish to Angel aswell but It's abit less nude and more pink.

I also picked up the Mac studio finish concealer because I didn't realise how cheap this actually was, it was £12 which means its £14 or £15 which I thinks quite reasonable compared to some other similar brands.

I'm absolutly loving bombshell its really nice and it's just such a lovely neutral kind of lipstick that you can wear from day to day!

The concealer is also really nice and I feel that it conceals my dark circles without leaving my face feeling cakey! I'm very impressed so far !
