WHAT I BOUGHT IN THE BOXING DAY SALES

This year I decided to brave the sales! I'm normally working on Boxing Day but the shop I work in now is actually closed on Boxing day.  I didn't really know what I wanted to get but I got money off my parents for Christmas and it was burning a hole in my pocket.
I really wanted to have a look at the Lush Sale, i'd heard there was a few problems with their online sale. They had lots of products in store, I managed to get a whole selection of half price christmas goodies aswell as an emotional brilliance lipstick at half price, I also picked up a shampoo bar and space girl. House of Fraser were selling the Yankee Candle was melts for 75p each for the Christmas scents so I picked up a few of these. I haven't tried the Yankee Candle wax melts before so i'm excited to give them ago.
I picked up this gorgeous Illamsaqua palette in the Selfridges sale, £45, reduced to £22.50. It's a bargain! Another beauty bargain was this gorgeous gift set from Topshop, it was £40 reduced to £20, inside theres 6 products! The eyeshadow palette alone retailed at £12 and the mascara was £10 so this is such a great buy! I also picked up this jumper however I took it back , it was really short in the length.
I got this gorgeous dressing gown from Dorothy Perkins which was £28 down to £15! Its so soft and fluffy!  I didn't even notice it had a super cute bear face on the hood haha!
Finally I picked up a couple of cardigans in the New Look Sale, one was only £6! and the other was £9

WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas! I haven't blogged in over a week and it's been really lovely to spend time with my family. I hadn't planned on not blogging over Christmas but it's been really busy and I didn't want to stress myself out thinking about blogging. So hopefully over the next week or so things will start to pick up again. I've decided to put together a 'What I got for Christmas' post, i've seen lots of people talking about these kinds of posts over Twitter, i've really enjoyed seeing what everyone got for christmas. The presents that i've photographed above are my gifts from my boyfriend Clint. I got money off my parents and some cute bits and pieces such as a penguin charm for my bracelet, a new ikea unit, notebook and lots of chocolate, I also got a lovely jumper from River Island which i'd subtly pointed out to my mom. I also got gifts off Clints family such as jewellery, bath bombs and a gorgeous tea cup and saucer candle.

As we are going to Florida in March me and Clint decided to set a budget for Christmas, we decided £150. I hadn't asked for anything in particular so I had no idea what to expect. Clint got me some skincare bits, the Origins kit was on offer in Boots so I subtly sent Clint a link to that, I love that he got this gorgeous Liz Earle Gift set, I love my cleanse and polish, I have a bottle in my bathroom and one at Clints as its my favourite. I'm about to run out so this was a great gift!
He got me the Nars Virtual Domination palette, this has been on a few of my wish lists on my blog. I just love Nars blushers! I love this!
I love my penguin, i've always loved penguins and I already have a little penguin teddy and now I have a big mommy one! He also got me a packet of penguins, I eat these all the time!
I had the cutest moustache necklace and I've lost it, so Clint got me one to replace it
New girl season 3, its recently been released on dvd, i love it, he got me seasons 1 and 2 last year.
I really wasn't expecting the No7 mirror, I had actually mentioned i'd wanted one for ages!
We went into Victoria Secret before Christmas and had a little look around, I don't fit into their lingerie but they do some really cute pj's and smellies. The body sprays and lotions etc are on a offer which is buy 5 for £30, I picked these out and he wrapped them up for Christmas They smell amazing, I decided to have these instead of the big Soap and Glory gift.
Finally my favourite present was my Olivia Burton watch, if you have me on instagram or twitter you may know I lovee Olivia Burton watches, I had two before Clint got me this one for Christmas. They are such classic watches but they are so quirky and cute. They started doing silver faced ones just before Christmas and I really wanted one! This mint one was perfect and i'd mentioned buying it a few times. Clint told me they were sold out everywhere but he managed to get one after alot of searching. I was so suprised, I really didn't expect it at all because we had set a budget I just thought he wouldn't want to spend half on a watch, he went over budget ALOT!

I had a really perfect Christmas with Clint and my family, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and feel free to comment with your Christmas blog posts or tweet them to me @amypyt

MY TOP PICKS: RALPH LAUREN GIFTS UNDER £100

So were getting very close to Christmas now I don't know about you guys but i'm getting very excited!! I've finished all my Christmas shopping and have started window shopping for myself, I can't wait to spend my Christmas money next week. I'm working alongside Ralph Lauren on this feature to show you my top picks from their huge range of gifts. All of these gifts are under £100 so would be perfect for that someone special or as a cheeky gift for yourself. I've put together this post just to share some of my favourite products which are available on the Ralph Lauren website where you can see more gifts. I've picked out this gorgeous scarf, I have a tartan scarf myself which i've had for a few years and I bring it out season after season! I love the tassels on this one. Next up is this bag, its a lovely cosmetic bag, its available in two colours and would be perfect for any special lady in your life! This top is one of my favourite picks! It's a lovely colour and such a gorgeous print. The top is a casual jersey material but you could dress it up with a nice clutch bag and some heels. Next up is this Red card case, such a classic design that it would never go out of fashion. It comes in other colours. Everyone likes perfume for Christmas, I get so much perfume for Christmas. Romance is a floral and seductive scent, again perfect for anyone. You can't go wrong with perfume, this is a generous 50ml bottle and retails at £50.50 which I think is reasonable for a bottle of Ralph Lauren perfume. Finally, with the chilly weather were having right now and the cold weather that were expecting I think anyone would be greatful to recieve these gorgeous gloves for Christmas. They are made from Cashmere so they would be sooo soft. I love the grey but they also come in black and tan.

GET PARTY READY WITH NEW LOOK

I'm working with New Look* this season on this feature to show you my favourite party looks. It's all about getting party ready  and making it stress free with some useful hints and tips. Here's a couple of outfits i've put together myself. The first one is this gorgeous dress, it's such a lovely burgundy strappy bodycon dress. I've picked out some Silver accessories, I love this long chain necklace, as the dress is plain I think this works well. The bracelet is gorgeous! I've picked out this Silver boyfriend style watch aswell. I'm loving chunky heels right now so went for these heels! They have a chunky heel which are embellished so again perfect for that party outfit. This is an outfit i'd wear over the Festive Season! We normally have a party on Boxing day and New Years Eve and this would be perfect.

For the next outfit i've picked out this longer dress, its embellished on the top. I love this dress and again think it would be suitable for so many occasions over Christmas. This is more classy, it would be great if your going out for Christmas Dinner, or again to a party. We've been talking about going out for our Christmas Dinner this year instead of the Traditional Dinner so a dress like this would be perfect. I've teamed it with this amazing clutch bag! Its embellished so its perfect for the party season. I love it so much. It works well with this gold necklace with its chunky flowers, I think this will pull the whole look together along with these gorgeous nude heels which I would wear time and time again, these are so practical and would look fab with just a pair of jeans and chunky jumper if your heading out shopping those boxing day sales.

REVIEW: EYE OF HORUS LIQUID DEFINE

EYE OF HORUS LIQUID DEFINE- £17.00* - BEAUTY BAY

I've been using this Liquid Liner from Eye of Horus for a little while now. I tend to stick to Rimmel Exaggerate eyes liquid liner as I have sensitive eyes and I know my eyes don't react to it. I find it easy to use so I normally repurchase it time and time again. I was excited to try this one as it's a like a felt. I've never used a felt liner before because I thought I would struggle using it. To my suprise its actually so easy to apply. The shade is perfect, it's a dark black, very pigmented and a strong colour. I find sometimes that black liners can actually be quite faded but not this one! As I said its easy to apply. I like the packaging its sleek and clean. The lid is easy to put on and take off. Its very long lasting, it stayed on all day without flaking or smudging. I'm so impressed with it, i'd love to try more Eye of Horus products, they also make a mascara and pencil liners which come in a range of colours and are also available at Beautybay.com

I do think £17 is alot for the product however I understand your paying for the brand and the quality. It has such high pigments and is a great buy! I would buy this myself and as I said i'd love to give some of their other products a try!

REVIEW: FLAMINGO CANDLES CHOCOLATE ORANGE SCENT MELT

FLAMINGO CANDLES CHOCOLATE ORANGE SCENT MELT - FLAMINGO CANDLES - RRP- £2

I went to the Clothes Show Live last week and I was SOO excited to see Flamingo Candles were exhibiting. I've never tried any of their products before, I really didn't know what candle to get as there's so many different scents to choose from. As I couldn't decide I picked up some of the Scent Melts which were only £5 for 5 at the show. This way I get to try out some of the different scents. The candles are £12 each so I didn't wanna buy a candle and then not like the scent. I picked up my ceramic wax melt warmer from poundland for you guessed it, a pound! I had some tealights from ikea lying around. The Wax melt, melted so fast, and the scent was incredible! I could smell Terrys Chocolate Orange all around my house! It was amazing! When you blow out the candle the wax dries and goes hard, and then it will melt next time you light the candle. I have to say I was so impressed! I can't wait to give my other melts a go and find out what scent is my favourite. I've picked up Parma Violets, Pink Lemonade, Candy Floss and Green Tea and Lemon scent melts so i'll be giving these ago! I will be ordering some more aswell as they are so amazing and a great value for money. According to Flamingo Candles the Scent Melts burn for 15 hours!! I want to order some of the more fruity ones to try! Have you got a Flamingo Candle, which scent do you love ?

REVIEW: HALLMARK POP UP CHRISTMAS CARDS

PACK OF POP UP CARDS - HALLMARK *

So i've started receiving Christmas Cards now so thought i'd show you these gorgeous pop up cards from Hallmark. I love the pop up house one, when you take it out of the envelope it pops up into the house. It's such a lovely card and looks so lovely on the mantelpiece.  I've given the House card to Clints parents, his mom loved it! It looks like a decoration its lovely. The Christmas tree card is another pop up one. You have to unfold this one but it stands up and again looks more like a decoration. I wrote this one for the girls at work and we've put it by the computer so all the customers can see it. The Christmas Wishes card is a 3D scene, it folds out and stands up. Again it looks great! I think these cards are amazing and i'm sure everyone knows someone who would appreciate a card like this.

They are avaliable at the Hallmark website and retail at £10 for 5 cards for the Christmas Tree and the house design or £8 for 5 of the Christmas Wishes design.

CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEA: THOMAS SABO CHARMS

The other day my sister turned around and asked for a Thomas Sabo Charm Bracelet for Christmas, me and my mom were quite suprised because she doesn't normally wear jewellery so it's not something we would have picked for her.
I love my Thomas Sabo Charm Bracelet*, it's great for everyday and i'm so excited to get more charms for it.

WHAT I BOUGHT AT THE CLOTHES SHOW LIVE

I went to the Clothes Show earlier this week so I thought i'd put together a blog post to show you guys what I picked up! First of all these gorgeous boots, i've had my eye on these for awhile! When I found out that Public Desire were going to be at the Clothes Show I decided to hold back from ordering and have a look at what boots they brought along with them. I was so happy that they were selling these, I picked them up for £25 which is £2 cheaper than online and I also saved on p&p
I'm happy with the quality and i'll be ordering from Public Desire in the future. Next up I got some Spectrum Collections Brushes, I've had a selection of Spectrum brushes in my basket on their website for awhile, So when I spotted them at the Clothes Show I was so excited. I was so impressed with the quality, they are soo soft. I picked up the buffing concealer brush, and two eye shadow brushes. They then gave me this Flat Top buffer brush to review on my blog. They had a 3 for 2 offer on aswell, I'm so excited to give these ago! I will review them soon, I can't wait to order some more. Carmex were also exhibiting, they had 3 for £5 offer so I picked up a few products including this Jasmine Green tea balm , strawberry balm and an Original balm. Provoke Touch of Silver had this amazing goody bag which was only £10, i've tried some of their products before and i've always been impressed. I'm excited to try out the dry shampoo and hairspray. Finally, I was soooo excited to see Flamingo Candles, I hadn't heard they would be at the Clothes show so when I spotted the candles I literally ran over. I spoke to the lovely guy who was at the stall on Monday and found out loads about Flamingo Candles. I picked up a few wax melts so I can see what I think of the products. I really regret not picking up any candles! I also picked up a scarf but I completly forgot to take a photo of it but I will be featuring it in outfit posts very soon.
