CHRISTMAS DAY WITH GEORGE AT ASDA

Everyone spends Christmas Day differently some people like to stay in their pj's all day and others like to get dressed up and head out and let someone else do the cooking. I have to say I usually love to stay at home with the family in my pj's all day and watch lots of films and eat my bodyweight in chocolate. This year is going to be a little bit different, i've recently moved out of my family home and into my own flat with Clint. We're not 100% sure what we are doing on Christmas day but I think we might just stay at our house, have a chilled out day together watching films, we have been invited to Clints parents for dinner aswell so we might pop round which means i'll have to get dressed up. I think this dress from George is a perfect Christmas day dress*, it's a lovely plain black dress with an embellished collar. It's a simple dress, I really love the shift style and it's so comfy. I think with a pair of thick tights and some comfy socks i'll be so cosy for a perfect Christmas day. I love this faux fur cardigan* aswell, it's such a simple but elegant piece which is perfect for the festive season. I think you could easily wear it on a night out, im going to wear it for my Christmas Party with work next weekend but I also think it's a lovely cosy cardigan to keep you toasty at home with the family.

What do you like to do on Christmas Day? Do you buy a Christmas day outfit?

OUR FLAT TOUR

Myself and Clint moved into our very own flat just over a week ago! We've unpacked and were all settled in so I thought i'd share a little flat tour with you. I haven't gone into massive detail but just thought i'd share some of my favourite areas and favourite bits and pieces with you.

The kitchen - our kitchen is small but it's perfect for me and Clint. There's a good amount of space and plenty of cupboard storage. I thought i'd share my gorgeous tea caddies from Next, you can write whatever you like on them using the chalk! I love them and I love my rose gold/ copper kettle and toaster which are also from Next.

The Living Room - This is where we spend most of our time. we have plain black sofas, these were here already which meant we didn't have to go out and buy a new sofa. I've added the blanket and cushion to make it more to my taste.

We got the Tv Unit from Ikea and the footstall from Homesense.

I love these prints, the first one is from Etsy, the second from Ella Masters and third from Milly Jackson

This unit is from Ikea. The lamp is from Homesense, the frame is Umbra from Red Candy , the basket is from Tiger and the candles inside H&M Home

This is my spare room/ dressing room / Office space. In here there are big sliding fitted wardrobes and my big mirror. I have this Malm chest of drawers for more clothes and my desk where I do my blogging. I love the print on my desk by DotCreates.com

My Bathroom- We actually have this main bathroom and an En suite. I love the flooring, this is in the En suite also. I like the little bits of blue/ mint i've added. I haven't had a bath yet but will nip into Lush this week to get myself some Christmas goodies and have a nice relaxing bath. The wooden thing across the bath is from Ikea, i'm gonna bring a cuppa tea in the bath and maybe bring my ipad in and watch youtube videos.

The Bedroom. I got this gorgeous bed from Ikea, it was only £80 and it's so sturdy and such a great bed. We also got our Mattress from Ikea. I got a new dressing table which is also from Ikea but I bought it off Gumtree. My bedding is from Asda. I really need a new duvet as mine isn't big enough, my old bed was smaller than a double. My lights on my bed are also from ikea.

REVIEW: BEEFEATER THE PLOUGH SHIRLEY

Hello! I'm back, sorry for not blogging for a couple of weeks but we have been crazy busy with moving house, we're in a all settled now so hopefully blogging will resume as normal.

Last weekend I went along to The Plough which is a Beefeater restaurant in Shirley which is right around the corner from where we have just moved to. We were invited along because they have just had a nice new fancy refurb so we went to check it out.

The outside looked clean and inviting, he headed straight inside. We were greeted at the door straight away and taken to our table. The restaurant was really inviting, it was clean and tidy. We ordered some drinks first which came really quickly, I had a strawberry and lime cider and Clint had a Corona, and then we ordered our food.

The area where we were sitting was nice and quiet, there is a great selection of tables meaning you could go in big or small groups as I felt they could accommodate big numbers. The restaurant is family friendly making it ideal for birthday parties or just a family night out. They had some really big round tables which are great because you can see and chat to everyone.

I liked the art on the walls, they had lots of cow related pieces as they do specialise in Steak dishes, they do a great selection of steaks aswell as a Mixed Grill and other pub favourites. I also love the copper effect light fittings that you can see in my photos, I really wanted to ask where these were from!

We ordered a Flatbread to share for started which was brushed with Garlic and Parsley and this was amazing it was huge and was a really nice change. Then for mains I ordered a Burger which came with fries and Coleslaw and Clint ordered the Mixed Grill which was huge! Clint's meal came with triple cooked chips which were amazing. We were both absolutely stuffed by the end. We both really enjoyed our food, my burger was amazing!  We managed to save a tiny space for pudding so we ordered the Bakewell Tart to share, this was served with custard. It was so good! We were both really impressed with the food, the selection and the prices are great, I'd go back as they have a great menu and i'd love to give the BBQ Chicken and Ribs ago and also The Beefeater sharing plater starter sounds amazing!

Overall we had a really lovely evening, we've both been really busy since moving into our flat so it was lovely to go for a nice drink and some dinner and chill out and have a nice catch up. The atmosphere was so nice, we felt really comfortable and relaxed. The service was amazing, everything was perfect with our order and nothing felt like too much trouble. I would definitely go back and I would recommend to our friends and family.

BEAUTY: THE PERFECT AUTUMN PALETTE WITH BOBBI BROWN

BOBBI BROWN - THE GREIGE PALETTE - £52*
INTENSE PIGMENT LINER - £ 26.50*

I am loving this palette from Bobbi Brown this Autumn / Winter. There's a great selection of shades and a mixture of matte and shimmer shades. I love all the different looks you can achieve using these palettes. I use this palette all the time, its great to create some subtle daytime looks for work or you can really work into the crease to achieve a bold smokey eye. The shadows are a really nice consistency and I find them easy to work with and build up. I sometimes struggle with matte shades but i'm finding them easy to work with when I use this palette. I'm finding this Autumn/ Winter I seem to be going for a grey/ brown smokey eye look or i'm using my Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette and using pinks and reds to get a Autumnal shade.

I've also been using the intense pigment liner to build up the shade in the crease when creating a more dramatic smokey eye and I like to use it along the lash line for a really strong bold line. The liner is so easy to use and it's really black and pigmented for a powder liner. I love how easy it is to work and blend into your eyeshadow to create a huge contrast.

You can get the Greige collection from your local Bobbi Brown counter or head over to the House Of Fraser website.

BEAUTY: URBAN DECAY NAKED SKIN CONCEALER

URBAN DECAY NAKED SKIN CONCEALER - £17.50*

I've been giving the Urban Decay Naked concealer a go! I recently got gifted a John Lewis voucher so I headed to the brand new John Lewis in Grand Central which is a new shopping center in Birmingham.

The packaging is gorgeous, it's a lovely glass tube with silver lid with a doupher applicator. It comes in a gold box which looks really fancy and looks really luxurious.

The concealer is really lovely, with it being part of the Naked collection you know your going to get a good natural finish, you can also build up the product to get a good fuller coverage finish. The concealer blends really easily and is a good full coverage formula. It covers up my blemishes and dark circles really well and I find it blends well with my foundation.

The shade I have was recommended for me on the counter but after using it a few times I think its a little dark as I like to use my concealer under the eye to brighten up the eye area. I would probably buy the lightest shade next time!

I will be repurchasing this concealer as I really want to try it out in a lighter shade. I love the consistency and think its a great natural concealer that's really easy to build up and it covers all of my spots and blemishes.

What do you think of the Naked Concealer? Have you tried any other good concealers?

REVIEW: JIMMI JAMMS

I have been meaning to put together this review for my jimmi jamms pj's for ages!! I have lived in them since I got them, They are so comfy! I picked out the Signature Hoodie in pink which is a gorgeous grey marl hoodie with the pink detailing. I love it so so much, it's so comfy and nice and thin so it keeps you snug but you don't get really really hot when your wearing it.
I also picked out the Heritage Short Set, I kinda wish I picked out longer length trousers as I feel its abit cold for shorts now but I still love these and I know I will wear these loads in the summer months. I have worn the shorts a few times, I like wearing shorts when i'm in bed as my legs get super hot but i'll put longer trousers on when i'm walking around the house. The grey vest is a really nice quality aswell and so so comfy. I think jimmy jamms offer a really great selection of nightwear and such a great gift idea for someone at Christmas, I love the Flannel Heritage set, it's going on my Christmas list this year.

LIFESTYLE: BATHROOM IDEAS

all images from pinterest

So it's official we've got a moving date and are officially moving out! I'm starting to get really excited about moving in and having our new flat. I can't wait to get our stuff in and to have our very own place. It's so so exciting. As we are renting we can't really do much renovating but moving and decorating is a huge step when getting your own place and its something that takes alot of time, money and planning.

I've been thinking alot about when we finally buy our own house and have to renovate it, my parents only bought my house about 5 years ago and I remember all the work they had to do and I remember the kitchen and bathroom being so so stressful. I think its good to research and get an idea of things you need to buy and things you need to be prepared for. In our bathroom we had to literally rip everything out and start again, We fitted a brand new suite and had the walls and floors tiled. You wouldn't believe its the same bathroom! I love looking at pinterest and looking at dream bathrooms! I'd love marble walls, you can actually get marble bathroom wall panels which is amazing and then i'd get some really nice clean walls and all white bath suite. I'd love some really big slate tiles for my flooring and then some nice clean white gloss ceiling cladding which would reflect the light and make the room look huge.
I love looking on Pinterest to get home ideas, sometimes theres some really gorgeous ideas that you can try and recreate yourself.
