HAPPY HALLOWEEN !!

Happy Halloween! I've been really excited for Halloween this year, I was kindly sent a few bits and pieces by Floridaforless like dvds, sweets and popcorn so I can have a spooky Halloween. I'm actually going for a meal tonight for my dads birthday so I decided to get my pj's on and watch films and eat sweets last night.

We decorated the dining room with Halloween bunting and cobwebs, I carved my first pumkin and  made popcorn.

I went to a blog event earlier in the week and dressed up as a cat, it was like a fancy dress party as everyone was dressed up so that was really good. I feel like this halloween has been really exciting.

I really wish I was spending Halloween in America as I know they go really over the top and I bet it's so much fun being there during the holidays. We've booked our holiday to Orlando for March so we will be there for Spring Break which I'm SOO excited about.

What are you doing tonight for Halloween and what are you dressing up as?

AUTUMN FAVOURITES FROM MODCLOTH

ALL FROM : MODCLOTH

I have been browsing Modcloth for some Autumn must haves! I love Autumn because it means layering, I love to pop a jumper over a shirt or pop on a comfy cardigan.

First of all I went for this cute jacket, I'm loving check patterns right now and think this jacket would work well with so many outfits. I'd wear it with skinny jeans and a tee for a casual look, I really think a polo neck would look great with it aswell for a more quirky look. Chunky boots would be perfect!

Next up is this cute cardigan, it looks so comfy so perfect for the cold weather. I love that its monochrome as you could wear it with everything. I'd wear this for work with a plain top and trousers. Skinny jeans and a blouse for an everyday casual look. Again chunky boots would be perfect with this cardigan to finish off any look.

Finally I went for this gorgeous shirt dress. It's a nice light material so a big fluffy jumper over the top would be so cute and also keep you warm. I love the red and black checks! You could wear this in so many different ways, with a belt, tights boots and a big chunky cardigan or with a jumper and jeans. Its so versatile and great for this season.

Modcloth have a massive variety of clothes as well as some really quirky, unique accessories!

AUTUMN / WINTER MUST HAVES

CAUDALIE : VINEXPERT *// CLARINS : MOISTURE REPLENISHING LIP BALM *// LA ROCHE POSAY : TOLERIANE ULTRA *// CLARINS : BLUE ORCHID OIL* // COLBERT MD HEAL AND SOOTHE NIGHT CREAM *// ORIGINS : GINZING // LA ROCHE POSAY CICAPLAST *

I can't believe how cold it's been this week, winter is just around the corner so I thought i'd put together this blog post about those Autumn / Winter beauty must haves.

DAY CREAMS

La Roche-Posay Toleraine ultra is one of my new favourite everyday products, it's a great base and leaves the skin feeling soft. The anti-irritating and naturally soothing formula make it great for the cold weather. Its ideal for sensitive skin like mine and it actually reduces the skins sensitivity.

Caudalie Vinexpert Broad spectrum spf15 radiance day cream is again a lovely light cream. It's oil free formula hydrates and protects the skin aswell as illuminating. With the cold weather approaching you can find the skin looks dull so the illuminating properties give a healthy glow to the skin.

Origins Ginzing is one of my everyday favourites its such a lovely light cream and it smells amazing. It revitalizes the skin and again gives a natural glow. It jumpstarts hydration levels with its natural ingredients of panax ginseng and coffee beans

LIP BALMS

La Roche Posay Cicaplast creates a barrier to protect the lips and soothes. It's a lovely formula with ingrients like bees wax and shea butter for that added moisture.

Clarins moisture replenishing lip balm is gorgeous, its such a nice texture and feels so soft and amazing on the lips. The rose wax comforts and protects and the Shea butter protects and smoothes, this is a new must have for my handbag! I love it.

NIGHT CREAMS

Colbert MD Heal and Soothe is a great night cream for the colder weather. The healing agents are great for healing the skin and reversing environmental damage. It's a thick cream but absorbs quite well into the skin, it's nice to pop on before bed when you feel your skin needs hydration restored.

Clarins Blue Orchid treatment oil restores moisture into the skin, making it perfect at restoring the skin. I really like oils and think they work really well on my skin. I like to use Clarins oil before I go to bed to prevent loss of moisture and aging.

REVIEW: MICELLAR WATERS

GARNIER MICELLAR WATER // BIODERMA MICELLE SOLUTION // BOTANICS MICELLAR 3 IN 1 SOLUTION*

I've been a big fan of Micellar waters for awhile and recently thought i'd try out Bioderma as it's hyped up by bloggers and make up artists so I thought i'd do a little comparison between these popular waters.

Garnier RRP: £4.99 for 400ml

This is one of the first Micellar waters I ever tried and I have to say I love it, its affordable and a great value for money. Its kind on the skin and removes make up easily. It's a generous size bottle and honestly I never pay more than £3 for it, you can normally get it on offer at your local supermarket or Savers always have it for £2.99 which is an absolute bargain. I never ever use baby wipes, I prefer micellar water, it leaves the skin feeling softer and cleaner.

Rating: 9 out of 10

Bioderma RRP £14.50 for 500ml

Escentual had 33% of french skincare thoughout October so I decided to jump on the Bioderma bandwagon. It comes in smaller sizes but the 500ml is the best value for money. I manged to get it for about a tenner. The formula is very similar to the Garnier one, I do prefer the Bioderma solution it's nicer on my skin and leaves my skin feeling much softer. I would buy the Bioderma version again as i've been really happy with it. The only problem for me is the price tag, it's taken me awhile to finally purchase it, however I always stock up on the Garnier one whenever I see it on offer.

Rating 8 out of 10

Boots Botanics RRP £4.49 for 250ml

The Botanics water is a smaller bottle at only 250ml but this makes it ideal for travelling or for a make up artist kit. The formula is very different, it contains hibiscus to brighten the skin. I have to say my skin does feel bright when I use this formula. It leaves the skin feeling soft and clean. I have had some problems with this Micellar water, it irritates my skin. I have sensitive skin and alot of allergies so I guess this is just something that reacts with my skin. It's great at removing eye- make up and unclogs pores really easily.

Rating 6 out of 10

My favourite micellar water is Bioderma, it feels lovely on my skin and leaves it feeling so clean. It's great for my sensitive skin but Garnier wins because it's such a great value for money and so so similar to the Bioderma formula. I tend to use both of these now, I would honestly repurchase both again but I think I would be more likely to get the Garnier one again because it's so cheap and a great quality product.

Have you used any of these products before, whats your favourite micellar water?

EVENT: #FABBBIRMINGHAM

I went along the the #fabbevents birmingham event on sunday! It seems like forever since I bought my ticket, I was so excited about it. It was held at Alfie Birds in the Custard Factory, which was a great location for the event. The event took place over two floors which were both packed with amazing brands and bloggers.

First of all we headed upstairs and was greeted by a room full of brands i've heard of and haven't heard off which was great. The first brand I spotted was Stage Line and Mist Air, a professional airbrush brand. They were applying airbrush make up and I have to say it looked impressive, such a HD finish and flawless effect.

Next up was Bodhi and Birch one of my favourite brands! Elijah is so lovely and was so friendly and even recognized me which was so cute. I got to have a little play with some products i've had my eye on, and walked away with some generous samples of the latest Rosa Rosa range, I can't wait to try these out! The mint temple balm is sooo dreamy aswell!

Anovia was the next brand I went too, I saw some really amazing products like a gorgeous smelling shampoo and a perfecting leg spray, these are really good and affordable products.

I've never heard of BeeGood before so I was very excited when I saw their gorgeous packaging! It's such a lovely brand and product. Bee Good was born in 2008 by husband and wife team Simon and Caroline. Simon is a bee-keeper and wife Caroline makes natural skincare products using the honey and beeswax.

Style Skin is a Luxury Fur Fashion brand they had some lovely bags and fur gilets and coats. There was a gorgeous clutch bag which has a gorgeous fur panel it's so nice!

Toni and Guy were doing some amazing blowdries and styles, wish I would have got my hair done.

I then went downstairs where there was even more brands Style Edit were there with some gorgeous bags and shoes and at such affordable prices. The girls were so lovely and i've been browsing their website and there's so many amazing bags and shoes.

Charmed Ivy were there with their jewellery, i've blogged about them recently and after seeing a few more pieces i'm thinking about placing another cheeky order.

Next up was MeMeMe cosmetics, I have tried some of their products before and have been impressed. I got to see some amazing products at the event, their Arch Angel product and Shimmer Stack. They gave us all a very generous goody bag and I was so happy to see both of these products inside so expect a review very soon.

Crystal Clear were giving out facials with their new Comcit Machine, I have to say it sounded very scary but the lovely lady has opened my eyes and i'm excited to find out more about Crystal Clear and their skincare.

We were all spoilt and given such generous goody bags i've just sat and had a good luck through and theres sooo many amazing products and great brands inside for us to try. I will be reviewing the products on my blog when i've used them and tested them all so keep your eyes peel for that.

Thank you so much to the lovely ladies behind #Fabbevents Tor and Ray. It was an amazing event it was so lovely to catch up with my favourite bloggers and meet some new people. I loved finding out about new brands and getting to meet and network with some lovely people.

EVENT: NEW BALANCE PRESS EVENT

Last week I headed down to London with my boyfriend Clint for the New Balance event, we wanted to stay overnight but after booking our holiday to Orlando for next year we decided to go down for the day.

We had a look around at the latest designs and learnt more about New Balance as a brand and what they have to offer. They actually put alot of effort into the designs and performance of each shoe.

At the event there was a variety of different New Balance Shoes to look at, they had performance shoes which were the sporty ones for runners, lightweight running designs, cricket styles and then more lifestyle styles which would appeal to most people. I love the 574's they come in so many different colours, there was a gorgeous black and green pair at the event which had cute pink laces.
Clints favourites were the 600c in the yellow/mustard colour, they were really nice perfect for a night out!

I didn't realise how many different kinds of New Balance there actually is, they have lots of unique styles and they come in so many different colours and designs. You can also personalise your own pair on the New Balance website   in the US so the possibilities are endless.

Overall, it was such a fab event, I learnt loads about New Balance that I didn't know before. After I had looked around the different designs and had some amazing Ali Baba Juice we went through and designed our own personal pair of New Balance, I went for a Burgundy colour and grey details, I won't get them for a couple of weeks but I will review them once they arrive. I even got to put my name on the back, I'm so excited for them to arrive! I'd like to thank New Balance for inviting me to the event and for letting me personalise my own pair!
