5 ways to wear black skinny jeans with La Redoute

I'm working alongside La Redoute to celebrate French Style and statement items that every woman should own. I have picked a good pair of black skinny jeans as my investment piece and i'm going to show you 5 different ways you can style them for different occasions. Check out their blog post here on http://fashionfamily.laredoute.co.uk/five-ways-to-wear-skinny-jeans/

MONDAY - SHOPPING IN TOWN : A stripey top is a must have in every womans wardrobe, to create a rock chic look wear with a leather biker jacket and some Red lipstick. For a day of shopping this is a great casual day to day outfit. I find stripes so easy to wear and I feel this outfit has a Parisian feel to it. I've popped my tie up flats which I think looks really nice, you could team this outfit with boots or even some pumps to make it a little more casual.

TUESDAY - LUNCH WITH THE GIRLS: Here i've teamed exactly the same black skinny jeans with a white knitted top and a statement necklace for a nice lunch with the girls. I've popped my chunky tan heels on to dress the outfit up a little. I've gone for a natural make up look but have built up my eye makeup so it's stronger than my usual day to day make up. I'm loving white right now as it' so on trend and love this outfit for a date or lunch with the girls I think its casual but pretty. I would team this with my leather jacket and a cute little bag.

WEDNESDAY - BRITISH SUMMER : With the British weather were having lately it's nice to make the most of a sunny day. We have had a few trips to the park with a picnic. I've added a summery kimono to a plain black outfit to add a spot of colour. This kimono is lightweight so it's nice to pop on but you won't get too hot whilst your out and about. These chunky heels can dress up and outfit but they are still pretty casual. I think they make this look more summery! I just took this little bag out, it's the perfect size for my phone and its really handy. My make up is pretty casual and minimal, I have added a nude lip as i'm loving nude lipsticks right now.

FRIDAY - NIGHT OUT : For a night out you can team these skinny jeans with some nice strappy sandals, i love these ones from Zara. I've teamed the jeans with a chiffon blouse with an embellished neckline, again white is really on trend right now and easy to where. A little clutch bag pulls the whole outfit together. You could add a pop of colour here with accessories but I like the monochrome trend so have gone for a black clutch bag with gold detailing. I've added some colour by going for a pink lip, I've gone for a strong smokey eye using natural shades.

SUNDAY - CHILLING OUT : It's the weekend! Time to get those jobs around the house done, blogging, cleaning and chilling out before work tomorrow. I love taking my dog for a walk and sorting out my blog posts for the week. I've gone for a black chiffon cami and a dainty necklace. Today I am wearing my Converse which makes the outfit look more casual. I've gone for
minimal, natural make up and my Ted Baker bag.

jeans: new look  // top : primark // waistcoat : new look // bag : ross in florida // wedges;  new look

I got myself some white skinny jeans finally, I went for these ones from New Look, they were only £23 which isn't too bad, I didn't want to spend loads because I know i'll get them dirty. Love these wedges from New Look too, I wanted some to wear on a day to day basis with my jeans and culottes. I love my stripe tops, this one is from Primark and is kinda off the shoulder, i love it!

AVENUE 32 WISHLIST

Avenue 32 is a high fashion online shop, I've collaborated with Avenue 32 to put together a little wishlist of some of my favourite bits and pieces off their site right now. I'm loving ripped jeans right now, they are so on trend and great for the british summer were having! The black ones are from AG Jeans are a cute cropped style, and have a subtle ripped effect on the one leg. A decent pair of black cigarette leg jeans are a must have, they are so versatile. I actually bought myself a cheap pair of white ripped jeans the other day, these Frame Denim ones are gorgeous, they are perfect. I'm loving monochrome (as you can probably tell from this outfit post ) I think a good pair of white skinny jeans are a must have this season, they are so easy to wear and white is so on trend. Cat Eye Sunglasses are so gorgeous, I really want a pair, they are so flattering. The backpack is such a versatile piece and you could wear it with so many different outfits. I love this textured effect of the leather, the bag is so chic. I've picked out a Fedora and Leather jacket to tie the look together.

EVENT: SMOKEY EYE MASTERCLASS WITH URBAN DECAY SELFRIDGES BIRMINGHAM

The lovely Kirsty from Urban Decay organised another amazing blogger masterclass last week. The masterclass was on how to create a smokey eye. The lovely Abbigayle warner offered to be Kirsty's model, check out Abbigayles blog http://www.stealstylist.com/ and youtube channel here.

Kirsty started by applying potion primer to the lid and undereye area as she would be applying eyeshadow under the eye. Potion Primer is a primer which stops the eyeshadow from creasing and sliding off aswell as a better colour payoff from your eyeshadow

She then applied a base colour to the lid which is the purple shade below, then she started to apply the matte black colour to the corner of the lid and then continued to build this up and blend it together.
Kirsty used a shimmery pink shade from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette to blend the colours together and then used more black to make the smokey eye more effective and intense. Kirsty then used the black shadow under the eye and smudged it together with a fluffy but stumpy brush. Kirsty used the Naked Basics 2 palette to blend out the eyeshadow so it looked flawless and so there wasn't a line in the shadows.
She then used Zepher which is a matte white to highlight the brow and to make the shadow pop and stand out! To intensify the look even more Kirsty applied a Moondust shadow which is an amazing glittery shadow and then used some Heavy Metal glitter liner

To finish the eyes Kirsty used the 24/7 liner in Perversion which is a blacker than black shade and also applied Subversion which is a lash primer and then followed with the Perversion mascara.

I loved the smokey eye that Kirsty created it was really intense and bold but she shared some amazing products with us and I learnt lots of tips and tricks on how to blend out the shadows for a more flawless smokey eye. It was another amazing masterclass from Kirsty at Urban Decay Selfridges Birmingham.

REVIEW: LAUNDRAPP

this is a sponsored post

Living at home with my parents means mom still does my laundry, I tend to take this for granted but i've been house sitting for a couple of weeks which has meant i've been doing my own washing. So i've been separating the colours and having to wash my work dresses separate to the rest of my washing .... effortt!! So the Laundrapp sounded so simple they collect your laundry wash it and then deliver it back to you!

I used the app to order. First of all you have to make an account and pop in your personal details for payment etc, It saves this information so next time is super speedy! Then you pick the service you want, I went for Wash and Fold which is a laundry service they offer. It's £15* for 8kg of washing which is about 1.5 loads in a standard machine. I just filled up a decent size carrier bag which seemed to be fine. On the app it does state that they bring a laundry bag for you to fill but they just took the New Look bag I popped my laundry in.  Then you pick your collection date and time slot and then you can arrange your delivery for 48 hours later and then place your order, Use the promocode 'AMYPYT' and get £10 off your order.

There's so many services to choose from, they do some special offers which are great and come up on the front page of the app so you can't miss them! You can pick individual items so if you had a particular dress that you needed dry cleaning you would pick the dress option that fits. The app is really easy to use. You add the options to your basket and place your order, easy! Then Laundrapp will do the rest, they collect your items and deliver them nice and clean to your door.

They follow the care labels on your clothing so your products should be safe, if you have any requests etc just let them know, there's a box for any special instructions on the basket page. If they have any issues etc they will call you or leave a note on any items. For example one of my tops had some marks on which I knew wouldn't come out in the wash, they left a note on saying they felt if they kept trying to remove the mark it would damage the product. I thought this was great that they went to the effort to leave a note on the item.

The slots for collection and delivery vary depending on your area but there's slots throughout the whole day and each slot is an hour so you don't have to wait in at home all day waiting for your delivery, you can plan it around your life. You can amend your order on the app aswell, so I had to change my delivery time and it was so easy to do, just make sure you save and amend the order.

The app has timeline so you can keep track of you order so you know they have marked it as collected and in progress etc. For delivery again the slots are an hour which is really convenient.
I got a phone call just before my delivery slot from Laundrapp because they were having some problems with delivery drivers so asked if they could reschedule delivery. I was actually house sitting so wasn't going to be at home so needed to find out if someone would be in however they said they could deliver it to where I was house sitting which made it easier for me and meant it didn't affect my moms morning either.

The the items were delivered by a friendly lady at the time we had agreed, they were delivered in plastic Laundrapp bags, hung nice and neat, ready to hang straight into the wardrobe.

The items look clean and are tumble dried, they looked really good like they had been ironed, some of my items were really creased before but they looked so nice and straight. ( i don't really know how to describe ironed clothes haha)

I was really happy with the service I received from Laundrapp, the app is so easy to use and a great value for money. The staff were really friendly and helpful and I feel they communicated with me really well about my order. I think they could do with more delivery drivers in Birmingham as this did affect my delivery options but I feel Laundrapp did everything they could to deliver my items.

You can visit Laundrapp.com to check if they deliver to your area, they currently deliver to London, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Solihull .

The app is avaliable on the Apple App Store and from GooglePlay

USE THE PROMOCODE 'AMYPYT' FOR £10 OFF

disclosure:  i have been paid for this post and also laundrapp offered their service to me free of charge, this blog post is honest and truthful and all my own words and opinions...

FASHION : FRESH WHITE FASHION TREND

KIMONO : NEW LOOK // BAG : NEW LOOK // SANDALS : CLARKS AT SHOETIQUE * //  CO-ORD : MOTEL ROCKS // HAT: RIVER ISLAND

I'm loving the fresh white fashion trend right now! I think its so summery and chic. Theres some gorgeous pieces on the highstreet. I think the easiest way to bring in the fresh white trend to your outfit is with accessories so you could choose something like this backpack from new look which would add that bit of white to any outfit or these lovely sandals by Clarks at Shoetique  which are lovely, I like the little tan strap around the back! I love kimonos, this gorgeous one from New Look is actually a bargain at £9 in the sale! I really want a co-ord this summer. something like this one from Motel Rocks! I love stripes and you could easily wear the skirt with a jumper and black tights into the cooler months. I love hats on other people, I feel like hats are effort, you get hat hair and they blow away and fall off you head but this one from River Island is a great addition to any outfit right now  and key to the 70's trend.

E V E N T : #SUNNYHULL WITH MELL SQUARE SOLIHULL

Yesterday I went along to #Sunnyhull with Mell Square. I had such a great day, We started with a drink at the Little Red Bus Bar, the bar was really cute and they had a great selection of drinks on offer. We headed to Lush first where we got the chance to make our own bubble bar!!! We made sunnyside which is a gold glittery bubblebar to fit in with the Sunnyhull theme. We all helped out to make the mixture and then we made our own bubble bar to take home. We also got to have a tour of Lush in Solihull and got to see some of their latest products like their sun products.

Next we headed off to Space NK where we got to have complimentary make overs! I had my whole base redone. I was so excited to try out some new products! The make up that was used on me was the By Terry Cover Expert foundation, I really like the coverage and the finish of this foundation. Apparently its easy to build up aswell, I might have to buy this on payday. She then used a Nars Contour palette for a natural contour and added some highlighter to brighten my cheekbones. She then finished the look with a Matte dark nude lip liner from Laura Mercier. I was so so happy with my make up, I don't think i've ever been so happy with my make up before but it was so good!
The ladies at Space NK were on hand to offer help with products and even recommended some products and tip and tricks.

We then headed over to House of Fraser to meet up with the fashion personal shopper who took on the challange of finding Ting something for everyday but smart enough for meetings. Ting rarely wears colour but wanted to try something new. I loved the items that the personal shopper picked out. First she picked a blue patterned midi dress with a sheer cover up t-shirt and then a pair of black skinny jeans and a gorgeous chiffon blouse. The personal shopper experience is something i'd love to try, and it sounds amazing. They offer the personal shopper service to everyone no matter whether theres an occasion or you just need to update your wardrobe for the new season. They have more knowledge of the different styles and options they have in store and can stick to what you like or can pick out things you'd never normally go for which can be great! You can phone up your local House of Fraser to book an appointment.

After House of Fraser we headed to see Emily-Jayne at the Style Lounge. This was great she went through the different colours that work for different hair/ skin colours and then went through some of this seasons trends and colour trends. I spotted some amazing items like a gorgeous ikat fringe top from new look and some lovely kimono's. It was a great session, I feel like I'm more confident with what colours work for my skin and hair colour. You can book a consultatoin with Emily-Jayne on her website

We went over to Sipsey after seeing some amazing pieces at the style lounge with Emily-Jayne, we got to see some lovely lingerie and nightwear. I was surprised to see they do bigger cup sizes and stock some really unique brands and styles.

Finally we headed back over to the Little Red Bus Bar and I had a lovely Pimms and lemonade in the sun whilst watching some of the acts on the stage. The sun came out and it was a great end to a lovely relaxing day! I had an amazing day and got to spend time with some lovely bloggers and brands.

Thanks to Mell Square for inviting me and for a great event!

I LOVE CULOTTES! They are so comfy and nice when the weather is so hot and sweaty like today. I have work tomorrow and then we are both off for a whole week! I'm going to an event on Sunday in Solihull so that should be fun and then we haven't really got anything else planned but i'm hoping to maybe go to the safari park and maybe even a little trip down to london or to the beach ( weather depending)
