FITNESS: MY WEIGHT LOSS UPDATE

Today blog post is going to be about my weightloss journey and I thought i'd give you guys an update on how much weight i've lost and what fitness i've been doing.

My last update was in May, you can check that out here MAY UPDATE  - I had lost 1 stone 6LB

So as you know I recently got back off my holiday I weighed in and I only put on 0.5lb which I was very chuffed with considering i'd been away for 10 days and been off plan for about two weeks.
Now i'm back and at group this week I lost 1lb !! So all together i've lost 2 stone 4.5 lb since I joined Slimming World back in March

I haven't been 100% on track since getting back from Turkey, i've been struggling with food as the weathers been really hot and humid here in the UK. I've had a few really good days and a few really bad days but I still lost which is good.

I want to try and get 100% back on track this week, I know it will be hard with it being warm and the kids holidays so we will be doing more things with friends but the main thing is to have fun and make good decisions.

I've pretty much just been doing Slimming World recently and haven't done much working out because I haven't had time and it's not so fun going for a jog when the sun is blazing and its sooo hot. I have however been walking to work alot and since I got Pokemon Go Clint and I have been going for a few evening strolls as usual i've been using my pedometer to make sure I get over 10,000 steps everyday.

To get to my target weight i've only got 6.5lb to go so now I want to shift it i'm going to be on plan and start excersising again. When I first started loosing weight I was drinking lots of Green Tea but i've since found myself drinking normal tea again so I was thinking I might pick up a Teatox to help shift those last few pounds as the Teatox helps to boost metabolism and cleanses your digestive system.

I'll be sure to keep you up to date with my weightloss and if you want to follow me on instagram I have a Slimming World account which I share my meals on.

REVIEW: PURE CHIMP SUPER CLEANSER AND SUPER SHAMPOO BAR

I thought i'd share a couple of goodies i've been trying out over the last couple of weeks. I've never heard of Pure Chimp before but I was very interested when I found out that they stock Natural products like this cleanser and shampoo bar and they kindly sent me a couple of bits to try out.

The Pure Chimp Super Cleanser is very different to my usual cleansers, I tend to go for cream cleansers or oil cleansers. This has a more solid form and you mix it with water to create a paste and then put this straight onto the skin and massage. This is a really lovely gentle product which draws out impurities. The texture of the products makes it feel like your exfoliating the skin and getting rid of that dead skin too which is great. You rinse with cool water, I tend to use a cloth to make sure i've removed it all. It smells incredible, seriously it's gorgeous. It's a lovely sweet scent, it's kind of fruity and nutty and it's just gorgeous. Really like this product and I think the jar would last a really long time as you only need a tiny pinch of product so it's a great value for money too!

Next up i've been trying the Super Shampoo Bar too, I love shampoo bars, I've tried a few from Lush in the past. This one is really easy to use and did not disappoint. I've actually been struggling with my scalp recently as it's gone very dry. This was lovely, really gentle so great for sensitive skin. You lather it up with water and it's so foamy you get some great bubbles and again a little goes a long way. It leaves the hair squeaky clean and nice and shiny. It leaves your hair smelling lovely as it contains banana extract. It's a really lovely product and again a great value for money as a little goes a long way.

If you like your natural products and want to try something new then check out the Pure Chimp website for more Natural Skincare. They also stock a selection of Matcha Green tea and 5% of their profits go to charity which is fab so i'd recommend checking them out!

Teapigs Iced Tea

Teapigs Iced Tea - from £1.19*

I've been trying out the Teapigs Iced tea range. You can use any of the Teapigs temples and you can play around using different fruits and flavours until you find the tea thats for you!

I tried the Mao Feng Green tea and added some lemon. To make the Iced tea you need to cover the temple in boiling water and leave for 3 minutes and then fill the rest of the cup/glass with ice and cold water, easy ! You can then add some cordial or fruit for extra flavour. I like green tea anyway so just added abit of lemon, you could add some cucumber too !
The Mao Feng Green Tea is very natural and it tastes of peaches and apricots.

I also tried the Darjeeling earl grey tea and did the same process again to make it an iced tea and added lemon again. The Darjeeling earl grey is more citrus-y as the Darjeeling leaves are blended with the finest bergamot citrus.

I really loved experimenting with the different teas and love that I can enjoy tea when its hot outside but feel refreshed ! I will be experimenting with more flavours I really want to try the lemon and ginger with elderflower cordial mmm :)

How to make your delicious teapigs iced tea:
  • Pop your tea temples into a glass or jug – 1 per person
  • Cover with hot water
  • Leave to brew for 5 minutes
  • Top with cold water and ice
  • Sweeten if you fancy with elderflower cordial or honey
  • Garnish with fresh fruit for prettiness
Our favourite teas to have iced are:
