FITNESS: MY WEIGHT LOSS UPDATE

Today blog post is going to be about my weightloss journey and I thought i'd give you guys an update on how much weight i've lost and what fitness i've been doing.

My last update was in May, you can check that out here MAY UPDATE  - I had lost 1 stone 6LB

So as you know I recently got back off my holiday I weighed in and I only put on 0.5lb which I was very chuffed with considering i'd been away for 10 days and been off plan for about two weeks.
Now i'm back and at group this week I lost 1lb !! So all together i've lost 2 stone 4.5 lb since I joined Slimming World back in March

I haven't been 100% on track since getting back from Turkey, i've been struggling with food as the weathers been really hot and humid here in the UK. I've had a few really good days and a few really bad days but I still lost which is good.

I want to try and get 100% back on track this week, I know it will be hard with it being warm and the kids holidays so we will be doing more things with friends but the main thing is to have fun and make good decisions.

I've pretty much just been doing Slimming World recently and haven't done much working out because I haven't had time and it's not so fun going for a jog when the sun is blazing and its sooo hot. I have however been walking to work alot and since I got Pokemon Go Clint and I have been going for a few evening strolls as usual i've been using my pedometer to make sure I get over 10,000 steps everyday.

To get to my target weight i've only got 6.5lb to go so now I want to shift it i'm going to be on plan and start excersising again. When I first started loosing weight I was drinking lots of Green Tea but i've since found myself drinking normal tea again so I was thinking I might pick up a Teatox to help shift those last few pounds as the Teatox helps to boost metabolism and cleanses your digestive system.

I'll be sure to keep you up to date with my weightloss and if you want to follow me on instagram I have a Slimming World account which I share my meals on.

MY FIRST WEEK AT SLIMMING WORLD

I'VE JOINED SLIMMING WORLD! Saturday was my first weigh in and i've lost 4LB I'm so proud of myself for sticking to plan all week and I seriously can't believe how good it is. I thought i'd share a few things i've been doing this week and what I thought of my first week and my progress.

The main thing that sold Slimming World to me is that fact that you can eat so much, your allowed to eat whatever you want. Nothing is banned on Slimming World however you have 5-15 syns per day and things like chocolate and naughty things are going to cost you syns.

You can have one Healthy Extra A a day so this is like milk  and cheese, this makes sure your getting the right amount of Calcium each day and one Healthy Extra B so this is bread, cereal or porridge and this means your getting the fibre you need.

After this it's pretty easy, you can eat whatever you like some foods are free meaning you can eat as many as you like and some of these free foods are speed foods. You should eat alot of these as they will help you loose weight faster, you should have 1/3 of each plate full of speed foods. Finally syns, you can find out syns for things by searching the Slimming World App or your book that you get at group, if you can't find something you can usually google it and find out the answer.

I've been so full all week, i've been eating lots of salad, veg and fruit which is fab. I've been cooking new and exciting meals and Clints been eating the same as me so he's really enjoying the recipes too.
Even with work i've stuck to plan and we went for an unplanned meal out the other night and I managed to pick something that only cost me a few syns.

I've decided alongside slimming world I need to make an effort to be more fit and exercise more. I don't want to be all flabby so I'm trying to tone at the same time. I have made an effort to exercise this week. I've been going for walks and doing my fitness dvd which has really motivated me.

I had my first weigh in on Saturday and i'd lost 4LB which is amazing. I'm so happy I decided to join Slimming World and I can't wait for my next weigh in! It's really exciting and everyone at my group is lovely and my consultant is fab!

If you have any questions about Slimming World feel free to leave a comment or email me and i'll try and answer for you, but as I said this is my first week. I've made a Slimming World instagram account so if you want to follow me then here's a link https://www.instagram.com/amypyt_sw/  I am sharing lots of meals and fitness photos.

I'm loving it guys and i'm so glad I decided to join! Let me know if your part of Slimming World and how much weight you've lost ?

BEAUTY: GETTING HOLIDAY READY

LESS THAN A WEEK TILL IBIZA!  I'm off to Ibiza on monday so I've started getting in the holiday mood. I've started my packing and got my nails and hair booked in for later this week.
I thought i'd share a few products I will be using to get holiday ready this week before we depart for sunny Ibiza.

For the last few months i've been back on my healthy(ish) eating and trying to get down to the gym as much as possible. I've been quite ill this month so I haven't been working out as much as I wanted to but I really didn't want to make myself worse. I've been following my Charlotte's 3 Minute Belly Blitz dvd* which is great as you can do it at home when you have some time, the dvd is split up into 12 3 minute workouts so you can do a couple if you don't have much time and want to fit a quick workout into your day. See my full review on Charlottes 3 Minute Belly Blitz here

I've got my hair booked in on friday, I should be having my roots touched up, I want them a little bit darker and then I want my hair to get much lighter into the ends. I have picked up a couple of these Loreal Feria Dip Dyes and might add some pink or purple into the ends just to make my hair abit fun. I really love having colour in my hair but i'm not aloud for work so I always tend to add some colour when i'm not working. I actually picked these up in the poundshop.

This Veet EasyWax Electrial Roll On Kit* is such an easy way to get long lasting results. Following the step by step guide is so simple, there's just 6 steps to get salon- wax results at home. The Veet wax system gives you long lasting results for up to 28 days meaning I shouldn't need to shave whilst i'm away. The kit is suitable for the bikini area aswell making it ideal for my holiday preparations. This EasyWax roll on kit is part of the Natural inspirations collection and is full of natural ingredients such as Shea Butter and Pine Tree resin, great to soothe and leave the skin feeling moisturised and soft. I will be using this properly later in the week and will do a full review on it when i'm back from Ibiza.

I have also included fake tan in my getting holiday ready.  I sometimes like to apply fake tan just for my first day so that I don't feel super pale. We get to Ibiza really early in the morning so the fake tan will just make me feel a little more confident in my bikini before I start to build up that tan. This Vita Liberata NKD skin matte wash off instant tan* is ideal for that first day glow and then you can just wash it off once you have started to get a natural colour.

I've been doing a Teatox by Slimming Solutions* for the last week, I should finish the course just before we go on holiday. I have really enjoyed the Teatox and will be reviewing it in full on my blog. As I said above I have been eating more healthy and excerising more so I have lost a few pounds over the last few weeks. I've noticed my skins felt clearer and my tummy is less bloated. The tea tastes lovely aswell, I really enjoyed having it every morning and every other night. I have another 14 day course which I will start again once i'm back to flush out all of the alcohol and naughty food i'll be eating in Ibiza.

Finally I have booked to get my hair and nails done. I love having my acrylics done before I go on holiday. Having nails makes me feel so nice and feminine. I can't really have nails at work because they just don't last, it such a waste so I love getting them done before I go on holiday. I've been using this Soap and Glory Heel Genius Foot Cream most nights to get my feet looking nice and soft ready for those sandals and flip flops. I'll buy a nice nail polish that will match my nails and paint my tootsies before we go too!

So thats it we are all ready and prepped for ibiza! Is there any must have products you get before you holiday or what rituals do you do before a trip away?

FOOD: SLIMMING WORLD PANCAKES

As you may know for the last month or so i've been trying to eat healthily and i've been going to the gym, so far i've lost 1stone and 2lbs. I still have a long way to go, I've been following some slimming world recipes however I don't go to slimming world or anything. I'm just watching what I eat and I've made some drastic changes to my diet. I think this recipe is so easy and with pancake day around the corner a really good healthier option.
I actually followed VIPXO's recipe which you can see here, she's done really well with Slimming World and she's a real inspiration for me. Theres more recipes on her blog aswell.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
FAT FREE YOGURT, I USE A MULLER LIGHT. - HALF A TUB
35g OF PORRIDGE OATS
SWEETENER - 2 TBSP
TWO EGGS

Mix together the oats and the yogurt, leave this overnight in the fridge. I've tried leaving it for about an hour and this works aswell.
The next morning mix in the eggs and sweetener, this is your mix.
Preheat a medium heat pan, spray with fry light. Pour you mixture in the pan, I made two at a time, I prefer these small american style pancakes.
After a few minutes flip over your pancake, I use a silicone spatula to lift up the edges to check the other side is ready before flipping it over.
Once the other side is done pop it on a plate with whatever you want, I try to go for a syn free option usually fruit. I've tried it with banana and blueberries mmm, today I went for strawberries, raspberries and blueberries.

I think these are so good. The consistancy inside is quite fluffy but remember inside is yogurt and oats so the texture is kinda like rice pudding. I love them I think they are a great alternative to naughty pancakes which you can also have on Slimming World but it's gonna cost you 7 syns.
