FOOD REVIEW: THE BOTANIST BIRMINGHAM

I have wanted to visit The Botanist in Birmingham for AGES! We finally popped by today for lunch. The Botanist is in the City Centre of Birmingham on Temple Street, Just around the corner from the Bullring and New Street Station. The location is really great and it's so easy to get to!

We got there nice and early for Lunch so it was nice and quiet, we got seated in a cute little table in the restaurant area. The furniture is really quirky and cute, the place has a vintagey feel about it!

We ordered our drinks right away, I had a Grape, Raspberry and Elderflower cooler which was amazing!! It came in a cool jam jar glass, it was so refreshing. I would love to try some of their cocktails especially one of their watering can cocktails!

For lunch I ordered the Chicken Hanging Kebabs and Clint ordered the Chicken and Chorizo Pie. I have to say my Hanging Kebab was impressive, some ladies from another table had a spot of 'food envy' and kept looking over haha! The Kebab consisted of Chicken, Peppers and Mushroom and was served with a Garlic, honey and sweet chilli sauce which was amazing and served with fries. I ate every last bit, it was so good! The chicken was great quality and perfectly cooked. I really enjoyed my food! Clint really enjoyed his Pie which he chose to have served with mash, it also came with mushy peas. It looked really good, the pastry looked amazing. I could smell his mash across the table, and it smelled so good! He also cleared his plate!

We were too stuffed for pudding but there was alot of choice on the menu. I think the price was really resonable, It was just over £30 for two drinks and two mains. The food was amazing and the service was perfect. Our server was so attentive and professional, we had a great experience at The Botanist and will be returning! I think next time I'm going to try the Steak, Cheese and Onion Sandwhich or the Deli Board and I really want to try the Strawberry and Cucumber Breeze cocktail

We visited The Botanist a few weeks ago and really liked it. The decor is fab, we didn't eat there but had drinks and that was all good as well.
