FASHION: BOOHOO POPPY ASYMMETRIC DRESS

DRESS: BOOHOO* // BAG: ACCESSORIZE //  SHOES: NEW LOOK // BRACELET: DAISY LONDON // SUNGLASSES: PRIMARK

How gorgeous is this dress from Boohoo.com?  I think it's such a lovely versatile piece. It's a midi length and a skater style. It's an asymmetric style so longer on one side than the other. I'm quite short but I think the length is really nice and the shorter side sit's quite nice on the knee. It's a scuba material so has some stretch to it and I found it true to size. It has a belt which brings it in at the waist making which is very flattering.

I think its a lovely dress that you can easily dress up and down. I've styled it with a leopard print camera bag and my tan heels. These heels are quite casual so perfect for that day to night look. I've styled the outfit in quite a smart/casual way, I think this would be perfect for those summer events like weddings, the races or afternoon tea.

I think this is a dress that you can wear with a chunky cardi and tights in the cooler months and on it's own with sandals for a day out or even with a nice pair of heels and a clutch bag for a night out.

The only thing is the colour isn't what I expected, I do like the colour but on the website it's more of a mustard shade but in real life it has a greenish tinge to it which was abit disappointing as I preferred the colour shown on the website.

FASHION: A GUIDE TO CHOOSING BRIDAL HAIR ACCESSORIES

You’ve finally decided on the dress, so the hard work is over, right? Unfortunately, there are more important choices to make — like picking out your hair accessories. Here, wedding headpiece designer, Rosie Willett, talks us through how to decide on yours and the other considerations you’ll need to make.
Should I decide on a hairstyle or accessory first?
It’s a problem many brides face; should they commit to a hairstyle and limit the types of accessories they can wear, or choose an accessory first and limit the hairstyles available to them? However, this shouldn’t stress you out.
It doesn’t matter which order you make the choices, as long as you make the right ones. All that matters is that you feel happy and confident with both the accessory and hairstyle you choose.
There are a number of versatile accessories out there too, so whether you go for an up do or wear your hair down, you can still add some glitz and glamour to your look.
What bridal hair accessories are there?
The good news is that there’s plenty of variety available when it comes to bridal hair accessories, including:
  • Tiaras — one of the most popular bridal hair accessories, tiaras will make you feel like royalty on your big day. They can be as large or as small as you like, so choose a style that suits you.
  • Headbands — subtler than a tiara, this is the perfect option whether your hair is up or down.
  • Hair vines — this style is growing in popularity, largely because of its versatility. Form it into a halo-shape and wear as a crown, incorporate it into a boho-inspired braid or let it hang freely when your hair is down.
  • Hair combs — these are best worn when your hair is up or partially up. If you’re wearing a veil, make sure it’s on a separate comb so removing it after the ceremony doesn’t disrupt your hairstyle too much.
Is there anything else I should consider?
The hair style and accessory you choose should naturally match your own personal style. However, you may also want to consider other factors, such as the theme of your wedding. For example, brides with a 1920s theme should consider feathered or pearl accessories to tie their day together.
You might want to consider colours too. Gold accessories work best with champagne-coloured dresses, while silver will complement ivory gowns beautifully.

OUTFIT POST: RUFFLE OFF THE SHOULDER

Bodysuit: Simply Be* // Jeans: New Look // Shoes: Primark // Watch: Johnny Loves Rosie * // Belt: Primark // Sunglasses : Quay Australia // Choker: Johnny Loves Rosie*

I wasn't really sure what to wear yesterday as the forecast was cloudy with a chance of rain, so I thought i'd wear my jeans. I've been wanting to wear my new bodysuit from Simply Be and I think it looked great with my skinny jeans.

I had a busy day planned yesterday, I had a pretty chilled morning and got lots of blogging done and then popped into town with Clint to pick up a few bits. I then headed to my cousins house with my mom as it was her birthday and then went to Nandos for dinner with my mom.

I took these photos with Clint at about 2pm and it was rather miserable and windy however the rest of the day was lovely and the sun came out.

I love this ruffle off the shoulder bodysuit and think its so flattering, you could easily dress it up or down depending on what look you were going for. This was a great day to night outfit and was casual enough for visiting my family and then heading out for dinner with my mom on the evening. I knew my new Johnny Loves Rosie choker would look perfect with the off the shoulder top and it looked so good! I love that the gold choker is separate to the black tie choker so you can wear them separately or together. I think a choker just adds a little something to a basic outfit like this. The gold detailing on the choker goes great with my new watch which is also by Johnny Loves Rosie. i've been wearing it so much, it''s such a classic everyday style.

I'm hoping to get back on top of outfit posts as I know I haven't posted one for a little while.

FASHION: OUTFIT POST - TOPSHOP FOREST GREEN DRESS

DRESS: TOPSHOP // JACKET: NEW LOOK // SCARF: PRIMARK // BOOTS: NEW LOOK *

It was so so cold today! We went into Birmingham to look for a rug, we didn't manage to find anything. I know what I want but I don't really want to order one online as i'd like to see it in real life but i've looked everywhere. I love this green dress from Topshop, I have it in Black aswell, I picked up the Green one in the sale and the Black one was full price but it was only £20 which is a bargain.
I'm loving my outfit posts at the moment and I hope you are enjoying them.

FASHION: BACK TO BLACK

JACKET: NEW LOOK // DRESS: H&M // NECKLACE: H&M // BOOTS: NEW LOOK *

I haven't done an outfit post in so so long, since moving into the new flat I just haven't had time with the rubbish weather and Christmas. I really want to concentrate on outfit posts this year and want to upload a couple every week! We are lucky to have this gorgeous brick wall in our carpark, it's outside so full of natural light so even if i'm feeling lazy theres no excuse because this lovely backdrop is right downstairs. I want to take more outfit photos tomorrow ( weather depending)
I have to say my outfits lately have been all black, maybe a spot of grey or a stripy top so sorry if my upcoming outfits are not that exciting but it's what I wear and I hope you'll enjoy my outfit posts along side the rest of the content i'm putting together.

FASHION : FRESH WHITE FASHION TREND

KIMONO : NEW LOOK // BAG : NEW LOOK // SANDALS : CLARKS AT SHOETIQUE * //  CO-ORD : MOTEL ROCKS // HAT: RIVER ISLAND

I'm loving the fresh white fashion trend right now! I think its so summery and chic. Theres some gorgeous pieces on the highstreet. I think the easiest way to bring in the fresh white trend to your outfit is with accessories so you could choose something like this backpack from new look which would add that bit of white to any outfit or these lovely sandals by Clarks at Shoetique  which are lovely, I like the little tan strap around the back! I love kimonos, this gorgeous one from New Look is actually a bargain at £9 in the sale! I really want a co-ord this summer. something like this one from Motel Rocks! I love stripes and you could easily wear the skirt with a jumper and black tights into the cooler months. I love hats on other people, I feel like hats are effort, you get hat hair and they blow away and fall off you head but this one from River Island is a great addition to any outfit right now  and key to the 70's trend.

OUTFIT POST: IT'S WINTER NOW

COAT: C/O JD WILLIAMS * // JUMPER: THE RAGGED PRIEST // SKIRT: TOPSHOP //
SLIP ONS : PRIMARK // WATCH: OLIVIA BURTON

So today I went into town for a little meeting with the lovely Holly, shes the account manager for ClareFordePR and came down to Birmingham to share some amazing brands and products.
So today I popped on my favourite new coat from JD Williams with a fluffy jumper and my check skirt from Topshop. It's been so cold today, it's starting to feel like winter now but I was so snug in my fluffy coat!

OUTFIT POST: TEDDY FUR COAT C/O JD WILLIAMS

COAT : JD WILLIAMS

I know another new coat, I really couldn't help myself. I was offered the chance to review something from the JD Williams website and this coat just called me! It's so perfect, I keep seeing pink coats on the highstreet and I think they are so lovely. I love that pastels are still in this season.

The coat is a texture boucle fabric, which is really nice. It kind of looks like candy-floss! It's a great length for the cool weather were having right now, it sits just above the knee.

I love that it's quirky because it's pink but the shape is quite formal /classic with the lapels. It would look great in so many different ways. I'll be featuring it in many more outfit posts so keep and eye out for those.

I've had lots of compliments on my coat, everyone at work loves it and likes to stroke it  :)

The coat retails at £80* on the JD Williams website and is also available in Black.
