FASHION: MY FAVOURITE SUMMER TRENDS

We have been having some seriously gorgeous weather so I wanted to share a few of my favourite summer trends and picks from the highstreet right now!

I've always been a lover of a good summery dress and I tend to wear a lot of dresses throughout the summer, I have actually found myself reaching for comfy tshirts and jeans or culottes right now so I need to buy a few nice dresses for the summer months.

I love this Khaki shirt dress, I think this would look fab with some tan sandals and a pretty round straw bag. I love midi length dresses and think they really suit me, they are also perfect for the UK as sometimes it's warm enough for a dress but I don't necessarily want to get my legs out.

Here's another lovely midi length dress, this one is a little more casual. I'm loving the whole buttons down the front trend this summer. There's some really gorgeous tops and dresses with pretty button detailing on which is such a nice addition to a casual top or dress. I love this rust colour as it really suits me and is a nice transitional colour from summer into autumn,

I love this plunge tie detailing on these dresses and tops right now, I think the bow detailing is so lovely and again add's a little subtle detail so a nice simple dress or top. Head over to www.upbra.com to check out their line of Upbra® Cleavage Enhancing bras, they use the new patented ActiveLift® technology to give more cleavage to smaller cup sizes and more lift to women with larger cup sizes, better than any other bra. These dresses will look so much better with a well fitted plunge style bra that gives a great cleavage.

I love this pink /blush culotte jumpsuit and think it would be gorgeous dressed up with some high sandals or dressed down with a pair of flat sandals for the days time.

I love sandals and I always buy a few new pairs of sandals each summer. I work in retail and wear sandals every single day of the summer even if it's raining as they look good with my work dresses and my feet get too hot in anything else. I love these Rose gold sandals, they would look soo good with any of these outfits, I really like these little black western sandals too and would pair these with something like white polka dot tie dress.

I don't know what it is about dungaree dresses but every year I want to get one. I think they look super cute with a little stripe tee and a pair of converse, the perfect summer/ festival trend.

So yeah i'm loving these summer trends and these are so bits that i'm loving right now, I really want to buy the Rust midi dress and I love the mustard top with the white button down midi skirt. What are your favourite summer trends?

OUTFIT POST: ANOTHER HOT DAY, ANOTHER MIDI DRESS!

DRESS: H&M // KIMONO: BOOHOO* // SANDALS: PRIMARK // BAG: ACCESSORIZE // NECKLACE: PRIMARK

I know!! Another outfit post! Whats going on? Honestly I was feel so rubbish about how I look and don't feel very confident about my body right now. I know i'm having baby and i'm going to get bigger and really need to get over that but I feel like i'm putting weight on everywhere, not just my tummy. I haven't been eating great but i'm planning on eating more healthier for the rest of the pregnancy.

We had a bit of a scare on Thursday, I hadn't felt the baby move since the Wednesday morning so was worried and didn't really know what to do. I have an anterior placenta which can mean I can have reduced movements as my placenta is basically in the way. I had been feeling the baby quite alot, especially at night time but I hadn't felt her. I phoned my midwife but she's on annual leave so I phoned the hospital (which was a right palarva) and they told me to go in to get checked over.

We arrived at the hospital and was told to go to delivery suite, when we arrived on delivery suite we were shown to a bed and the midwife went off to get the things she needed. She came back with a Doppler and used this to find her heartbeat. She didn't find it straight away and said she was picking up my placenta, and then we heard it. Her little heartbeat was strong and beating away perfectly. She said her heartbeat was normal. She wanted to check me over so they checked my blood pressure, urine and temperature to make sure i'm all okay which I was and a few hours later we were aloud to leave.

I really want to start documenting more things like this on my blog for me to read back over in a few years when shes growing up.

We took these photos yesterday we went to town to have a look around the shops, we were also invited to review the food the the Broadway Casino, it was really good and a full review will be up next week.

FASHION: WHAT TO WEAR TO A SUMMER WEDDING?

Are you going to a wedding this summer? Don't know what to wear? I thought i'd put together this post and share a few of my favourite picks for a summer wedding guest.

I thought i'd feature a few bits for him as well as her as I have quite a few male readers.

I'm going to start with my for her picks! I love this orange floral dress from Asos! It's really pretty and on trend right now. It has short sleeves so perfect for those of you who don't like your arms, no need to worry about a cardigan or cover up. The length is really good, it's a midi length which suits alot of people. I'm short and find midi length works really well for me, the frill on the bottom of the dress is really on trend right now too! I think florals are perfect for summer weddings! If you are not brave enough to pull off the bright orange then a pastel floral pattern will work just as well!

I really like nude accessories right now and with the dress i've picked being very bright I think any more colour would be to much! This River Island Bag is perfect, it's white so super easy to wear! It's a decent size so you can fit your make up, phone and purse in. I would team with these nude heels! Very simple but effective again perfect with the bright dress!

For jewellery and accessories again I would keep it simple, I think rose gold would be perfect for that bronzed summer vibe! Just some tiny hoops/ stud earrings and a pretty bracelet is all you need.

I'm really feeling a bronzed goddess vibe so for make up keep it natural, use the Nip + Fab highlight palette. The middle bronzer is perfect and creates a gorgeous summer glow! The middle highlighter is gorgeous and leaves your skin glowy and fresh! I think the Urban Decay Heat palette would be perfect to create a bronzed smokey look to finish off the whole look!

First up for him you need to get your suit sorted first, Suitsmen have a huge range of suits perfect for any occasion, including a range of mens machine washable suits. This suit would be perfect for everyday or a wedding. It's good to go with something simple that you can wear again and again. You can accessorize using a tie and matching handkerchief. Why not match your partner and add the colour of her dress to your tie?

For men shoes are a big deal, again you want to keep them simple. Go for something sturdy and good quality that you can wear again. These shoes are really on trend but look like they are of a good quality. They look smart perfect for any occasion, especially a summer wedding.

Accessorize your look with cuff-links, waist coats and a fancy watch!

Are you going to a wedding this summer? What will you be wearing? Got any tips for those summer wedding guests?

BEAUTY: FESTIVAL ESSENTIALS

There's about a month till Reading and Leeds so I thought i'd feature some festival beauty essentials. I've teamed up with Boots who have kindly sent me a few bits to feature, i've also added some of my festival beauty must haves!!

Hair Products - Dry shampoo is a must have for any festival, if your going to a festival that does have showers chances are they will be grim and the queues will be ridiculous so Dry Shampoo is going to be your best friend. I always have a stash of Batiste Dry Shampoo in my room, I do want to try the COLAB one as i've heard lots of good things.

Sea Salt spray / texturizing sprays are another must have for any festival. Hide the fact you haven't showered by using a salt spray to texurize your hair and create those beach waves giving your hair and extra day. I really like the Schwartzkopf Got2B beach matte spray as I find it works well and is easy to use. It's a light spritz and doesn't soak the hair and is easy to create those beach waves.

Make Up - The Clarins BB Skin Detox Fluid is very new to my make up collection but it's already a firm favourite of mine. It's a great all round product making it perfect for a festival. A BB cream already has moisturising properties so you wouldn't need to pack a moistuiser too. This one has spf 25 which is great since your going to be outside all day, it's a lovely lightweight product which lasts well all day long.

Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder, is a Blogger favourite but i've never tried it before. I've been giving it a try this week. This is a limited edition Festival version which you can get at Boots. The packaging is lovely and it's a great all round product, you can add that glow all over using this lovely matte bronzer.

The Limited Edition Tropical Festival range also includes a Mascara, which is a huge brush to add lots of volume to those lashes. I love having really full, thick lashes so this is the perfect mascara for me.

Boots also sent over this Sensationail starter kit which includes a UV lamp so you can do your own Gel Nails at home. Gel Nails always last so much longer than normal nail polish. You can use this set to turn your normal nail colours into a gel polish. I'm so excited to give this a try and it would be perfect if you were getting ready for a festival.

This Kiehls Lip Balm is perfect for chapped lips, protect lips from cold weather and wind.

After a late night at the main stage these Eye Treat Spa by Masque Bar are so good, they reduce the appearance of puffiness around the eye area. They are really handy and easy to use. You get 5 in a pack. Skin feels smoother and tighter.

These handy little hand sanitisers and wipes from Carex are so handy for the festival season. Festivals are not the most hygienic of situations so hand sanitiser is an essential and a packet of wipes will come in handy.

FASHION: FESTIVAL FASHION WISHLIST

I'm back off my holiday now, boo! So I thought i'd pop together a festival fashion wishlist as i've been checking out the latest festival looks from T in the Park and Wireless festival from over the weekend.

The usual trends are out and about but I thought i'd share some bits and pieces i'd be rocking at festivals this summer.

Playsuits are always a really good statement piece for a festival, they are cute and usually a comfy material and lightweight. They are great if your packing light as you don't need to pack shorts or trousers as its a one-piece. This black one is from Topshop and I love the off the shoulder style, it has long sleeves so it's great if your conscious about your arms and it will be perfect from day to night. I'd style this with some cute colourful sandals, I love these from Topshop and a chunky belt like this one from River Island.

This floral bomber jacket is gorgeous, it's from Simply Be and is available in a wide range of sizes. I think a bomber jacket is the perfect jacket for a summer festival as in the UK is does get rather chilly, especially on the evenings so this is a nice lightweight jacket that you can just pop over any outfit. The floral print is so on trend and makes the jacket summery even though it's black. This would look great with a pair of Denim shorts and a crop top!

This other playsuit is from River Island and is a little bit more colourful, I think the aztec print screams festival! It's just such a perfect piece for any festival. I love that it has the black pom pom details. This would look great with a pair of ankle boots and a floppy hat!

I love this Embroidered Satchel bag which is also from Simply Be, it's the perfect size for your purse, camera and phone. I love the pattern detail which is just stunning and it has some beading details aswell. This would go with any outfit and is just a really lovely bag.

These sunglasses are really cute, they are from River Island, Aviators are always really popular in the summer. These pink ones are really feminine but on trend.

There's lots of festival fashion and accessories on the Simply Be Festival page so be sure to check that out for lots more festival fashion inspiration and be sure to check out their festival playlist and their calander of the hottest festivals this season.

LIFESTYLE: FESTIVAL TOP TIPS

With summer here finally festival season is among us so I thought i'd put together a post with a few top tips for festivals and mention a few upcoming festivals.

1. Picking the right festival!! Alot of festivals have a reputation and you can usually guess what artists will play which festivals. For example if your into your rock/ indie then Download tend to have lots of rock bands playing and a few indie bands. If your into more pop/ rnb then Glastonbury or V Festival are more likely to be your cuppa. Be sure to do your research and see whos headlining the festivals before you buy your tickets, make sure theres plenty of people you want to see.

2. Planning! Be sure to plan what you are bringing with you, how you are getting to the festival? How much money you will need etc. These are all important elements to make sure your experience runs smooth. We traveled by train so I used a small suitcase for my clothes however this wasn't very festival field friendly and got so muddy. If you are getting a train then book your tickets in advance to get the best deals.

3. Look after your tickets or wristbands. You usually get your ticket/ wristbands posted out to you so be careful to look after them and don't forget to bring them with you on the day. I still have my wristband for V Festival when I went a couple of years ago, they are really cool keepsakes.

4. What to pack? There's so much stuff you need to bring to a festival with you!
Clothes, Food, Money, Drinks (plenty of water and alcohol for in your tent) a tent and sleeping bag, some foldaway chairs, floral crowns, dry shampoo, texturising spray, charger for phone, ( at vfestival they had lockers and stations where you could charge your phone) camera, comfy shoes, waterproof jacket,

5. festivals can be really expensive and you have to get your ticket straight away as those tickets sell out! So plan in advance save up all year so you have the money ready and then when those tickets go on sale you already have the money saved to buy your ticket. There's nothing worse than the perfect line up being released and you can't afford a ticket.

6. Who to go with? I think it would be great to go as part of a big group as not everyone wants to see Beiber so if theres plenty of you then surely someone will go along and sway to 'what do you mean?'

7. SUNCREAM! I know your probably thinking it always rains at festivals but when we went to V festival it rained all day and then on the last day the sun was so strong! I was so glad i'd brought sun cream and we needed it. Even if it's not very sunny the suns still there and you are going to be outside all day long so you need some kind of spf protection.

8. Look after your personal belongings. Try and bring as little as you can, if you don't want to loose it then don't bring it. You shouldn't leave valuables in your tent, if you need to leave it then put it in a locker. your phone and money is all you need and you should keep that on your person at all times. Girls bring a cross-over bag or bumbag if possible with a zip to keep all your goodies safe and sound.

Most of all have a good time! I loved V Festival, I really want to go this year as the line up is AMAZING!!! I just don't have the money boo!! I think i'm going to save up though and hopefully next years line up is good too!  If you've got any questions about camping at a festival or what I brought along with me then just let me know in the comments?

OUTFIT POST: FESTIVAL FASHION AT BOOHOO.COM

Heyyy! So Festival season is fast aproaching so I thought i'd share my latest festival look. I'm not going to any festivals this year, I really wish we were! The line up for V festival is incredible, Justin Bieber, Sia and Rhianna and Jess Glyne, I wish we were going. I'm working alongside Boohoo and have picked out some gorgeous bits and styled them up into this outfit.

I picked out this playsuit* from Boohoo which is a lovely plain jersey material, it's so comfy and easy to throw on . I will be bringing it to Turkey with me because it's so comfy and will be easy to put on for by the pool. I love this sleeveless kimono* thing which is so cute. I love the tassels and the paisley print. It's also from Boohoo, I thought i'd pop my tan plait belt on too with my plait sandals from Topshop which are my favourites because they are so comfy.

The sunglasses* are really cute too I think they look very festival-y and look fab with my outfit. I also popped this choker* on too which I loveee!

BEAUTY: MY FESTIVAL ESSENTIALS

Today's post is all about those must have beauty essentials perfect for all of those upcoming festivals. With the sun out and our shorts on it's only a matter of time before festival season is here so why not start getting your beauty essentials sorted. For any festival is super important to have a decent spf, even if you just here in the UK as your going to be outside all day and you need to make sure your getting enough protection from the sun. Your going to need some comfy shoes and your sunnies and maybe a hat too!

I thought i'd share a few products that I love and think would be perfect some a summer festival.
First up hair products! You need some dry shampoo first of all, I only really use the Batiste one which works really well for me and keeps those greasy roots at bay for a few days. Once you've dry shampoo'd your hair spritz some of this Lee Stafford Coco Loco Coconut Spritz into your hair and scrunch it up for that tousled wave look. The spray leaves your hair smelling fresh and clean and stops your hair from looking dry and straw like. Another must have is a travel Tangle Teezer, your hair is going to start getting a little hard to manage after not washing it for a couple of days. A handy Compact size Tangle Teezer is such a great thing to bring along to any festival to tame those locks.

Some all rounders like Dr Paw Paw's original balm is a good staple to pack, you can use this for a number of different uses. You can use it as a lip balm, skin protector, for nails and cuticles, on dry skin such as on your heels, elbows or hands. It also has calming and healing properties perfect for sun burn, prickly heat or skin irritations.

Kiehls Midnight recovery oil is another good product. It replenishes the skin with moisture which will work wonders overnight whilst you sleep to repair the damage caused from the sun.
It has soothing qualities and boosts radiance.

I thought i'd include a few Carex goodies because sometimes festivals can be abit dirty and grim so I would bring along my own hand sanitiser, I love the smell of this Strawberry laces hand gel!  Incase the loo is out of soap or you just want to freshen your hands. I would also bring plenty of tissues and these wipes are handy for hands, face and body for a freshen up.

You do so much walking and standing up at festivals so some Compeed would be handy to bring along too.

Another handy thing to think about is sanitary products, such as pads and tampons. Your period can strike at any time so be prepared and chuck a few pads or tampons in your bag. Lil-lets have a huge range so there's something to suit every cycle.

How cute is this handy travel size Garnier Micellar water, I've picked this up for Turkey but it would be a fab little size to bring along to a festival. When you've finished it you can just throw the mini bottle away or reuse it for something else. I think these little mini's are such a great idea. I got this in Savers for a pound!!

I'm not off to any festivals yet that I know of, are you? Where are you going and whats your top beauty must have for a festival ?

OUTFIT POST: FESTIVAL FASHION WITH BOOHOO.COM

KIMONO, PLAYSUIT, HAT AND BUMBAG:  BOOHOO* // SHOES: PUBLIC DESIRE // NECKLACE: CLAIRES // SUNGLASSES : PRIMARK

With Vfestival and Reading and Leeds just a few weeks away there's no time like the present to pick up your must have festival fashion from Boohoo. The weather can be really hit and miss here in the UK so I think its a good idea to have a versatile outfit that you can wear with either boots, wellies or sandals depending on the weather. This playsuit is such a lovely fit, its classic but the little fluffy balls give it that festival feel. It's black so it's really easy to wear and you could add colour or keep your outfit monochrome, which is what i've done here. I've picked out this gorgeous black and white aztec style kimono which has a lovely lace detailing along the bottom. This kimono is so versatile, you could wear it with skinny jeans or down to the beach over a bikini and some shorts, it's definitely coming to Ibiza with me. I keep seeing bum bags everywhere and I think they are great for a festival, I love this tan one, its the perfect size for my iphone 6 so I can take photos of the acts and of my friends at a festival for Instagram but its a nice size for some cash and my debit card which is all i'll need. A must have for any festival is a hat! 3 days of no showering means alot of dry shampoo and a hat to cover it all up, I love this classic black one, it will go with any outfit. To finish the outfit i've gone for my chunky boots because it's been raining here in Birmingham today but you could easily wear this outfit with some cute sandals or your wellies if you know its going to be muddy!
Some messy waves and festival make up and your ready! Are you going to any festivals this month? what are you going to wear?
