EVENT: SMOKEY EYE MASTERCLASS WITH URBAN DECAY SELFRIDGES BIRMINGHAM

The lovely Kirsty from Urban Decay organised another amazing blogger masterclass last week. The masterclass was on how to create a smokey eye. The lovely Abbigayle warner offered to be Kirsty's model, check out Abbigayles blog http://www.stealstylist.com/ and youtube channel here.

Kirsty started by applying potion primer to the lid and undereye area as she would be applying eyeshadow under the eye. Potion Primer is a primer which stops the eyeshadow from creasing and sliding off aswell as a better colour payoff from your eyeshadow

She then applied a base colour to the lid which is the purple shade below, then she started to apply the matte black colour to the corner of the lid and then continued to build this up and blend it together.
Kirsty used a shimmery pink shade from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette to blend the colours together and then used more black to make the smokey eye more effective and intense. Kirsty then used the black shadow under the eye and smudged it together with a fluffy but stumpy brush. Kirsty used the Naked Basics 2 palette to blend out the eyeshadow so it looked flawless and so there wasn't a line in the shadows.
She then used Zepher which is a matte white to highlight the brow and to make the shadow pop and stand out! To intensify the look even more Kirsty applied a Moondust shadow which is an amazing glittery shadow and then used some Heavy Metal glitter liner

To finish the eyes Kirsty used the 24/7 liner in Perversion which is a blacker than black shade and also applied Subversion which is a lash primer and then followed with the Perversion mascara.

I loved the smokey eye that Kirsty created it was really intense and bold but she shared some amazing products with us and I learnt lots of tips and tricks on how to blend out the shadows for a more flawless smokey eye. It was another amazing masterclass from Kirsty at Urban Decay Selfridges Birmingham.
