LIFESTYLE: WAYS TO STAY POSITIVE THIS YEAR

In today's post I want to talk about staying positive and ways in which I think you can stay positive and increase your productivity in 2018. I'm going to include a few products to help you stay organised and things you can do to make 2018 the best year yet!

First up it's the 18th of January so you should all have a brand new diary and calendar, if not you need to go and get one. I think writing down things really helps me stay productive and I like to tick things off and this keeps me on track. I also keep a note of any appointments etc, coffee with friends so i'm super productive and know what i'm doing from one day to the next. If I have a free day then I can use this for blogging and i'll usually write a list of blog posts I want to write or write a list of products I need to review so i've always got something to write about. I also use the calendar and notes on my phone but I find actually writing things in my diary and on my calendar works better for me. There's lots of lovely planners around like The Happiness Planner and these ones from Dot Creates and so if you work from home or like having a big diary I think they are great and have lots of sections to keep you organised.

Next up why not invest in a new wardrobe, get yourself some nice new clothes that you will be proud to be seen in. If you work in an office get yourself a nice new jacket or suit. This will make you feel really confident, and ready to get that promotion this year. If you are self-employed even though you don't wear a uniform appearing clean and professional is a good way to get new commissions, work etc, even if you just invest in a new dress, pair of jeans or a new coat.

Having a positive mental attitude is going to boost positivity and productivity this year. Why not join the gym or start going for a run, I find exercise a really good way of thinking and i've come up with some really good ideas whilst i've been out for a jog. Exercise can also help you sleep better which is another benefit and another way to boost your positive attitude.
Start doing yoga, have a massage, go for a walk around a park, just take some time out for you. Personal well-being is very important and looking after yourself should be a priority this year.

Healthy eating is another good way of staying positive, I always have a 'lets do this' attitude when i'm eating well. I'm always very motivated to do well. Sugary and fatty foods can make you feel sluggish and can leave you feeling tired and irritated.

OUTFIT POST : Topshop Check Skirt

Skirt: Topshop // Jumper : The Ragged Priest // Jacket : Topshop // Necklace :Topshop //
Bag Primark // Shoes: Topshop

We went for a meal last night at The Lost and Found in Birmingham, we were a tad early so we went for a stroll and took these photos. I'm really happy with them. If you follow me on instagram you will know I got the Nikon 1 and these were taken using that. I think the quality is really good and resembles the quality of a DSLR.

I will be blogging about our meal later so keep an eye out for that. Also we had a little spa day at The Marriott in Birmingham which was lovely. I'm not sure if I'm going to be blogging about my visit as I didn't take any photos but it was a really good day.

I loveee this skirt from Topshop, I thought i'd lost it so I haven't worn it for a while. I keep wearing my fluffy Ragged Priest jumper as well and I need to stop wearing jumpers now the weathers heating up abit.

I've been making some art work and if you follow me on instagram you will have seen it, would you guys like to see a update on the blog featuring my art work?

#Verybloggers Photoshoot

Before I went away on holiday I was invited to the Very Bloggers photography fashion event, I responded straight away and was so excited to go. It took place in Liverpool so I got up very early to attend after my long train journey I arrived in liverpool and made my way to Very HQ.

After meeting the lovely Chyaz from www.chyaz.com , Sarah from www.sequinthis.com and Sarah from www.fashiondotty.com  we had a tour of the very.co.uk hq which was massive ! From here we headed over to the studios.

We had a look at some of the latest collections from Love Label and Definitions and got to pick two outfits that we would get to wear for our photoshoot. We then went into hair and make up where we got to have a play with the latest collection from Love Label, I'm wearing one of the lipsticks that comes in a pack of three. Both Sarahs had their photo's done before me and the lipstick lasted the whole time and looked amazing in my photos, i'm very impressed.

I picked a gorgeous little gold sequin skirt and a Black lace bomber jacket  to team together which I think looked rather. The jacket was really comfy and I loved the skirt I would wear it with a black jumper in the winter with tights and boots or with a simple cami for a night out, it's so versatile.

My other outfit was a PU leather dress that I fell in love with. It's so simple but effective, I teamed it with this gorgeous necklace and some heels.

I love the final images and will do a blog post with a selection of the photos. Here's a few behind the scenes photos and you can also watch Very's own behind the scenes video below.

I had an amazing day and met some lovely people and I would like to thank Miriam and the rest of the team who made the day great :)

OUTFIT POST - Floral Bomber

 Jacket - Ribbon at Bank*
Top - Topshop
Shorts- Vintage Levi's
Necklace- Topshop
Sunglasses- Primark

I spotted this jacket in Company magazine and fell in love so when I was offered to pick a couple of pieces from the Bank website this was first on my list! It's gorgeous! Its a lovely light chiffon material bomber jacket. It has this lovely floral pattern which I think is really nice and summery. And because its so light it will be great to pop on when its warmer just as a cover up!

I've popped this on today with my vintage levi's and a black top just as a cover up. I think i'm going to get alot of wear out of this jacket because you can wear it with jeans, dresses, leggings just everything really.

This jacket is actually in the sale on the bank website right now and is £15 ! Which is a bargain! I am going to wear this jacket loads and I'm going to bring it on holiday as a little jacket for the evenings.

Buy this jacket here at Bank

Army Style jacket

Army style jacket : Ebay

If you know me at all you will know i'm one for a bargain! I really love these army style jackets, who doesnt? So that means they have a rather heafty price tag! I looked in my local vintage shops and all the charity shops, I looked online and even got into some bidding wars! Thats when I found this one! with a buy it now price of £9.99 who would resist, I was abit cautious about the sizing but I think it looks lovely on.

How can urban outfitters charge £48 for a near exact jacket?

What do you think ??
