REVIEW: MICELLAR WATERS

GARNIER MICELLAR WATER // BIODERMA MICELLE SOLUTION // BOTANICS MICELLAR 3 IN 1 SOLUTION*

I've been a big fan of Micellar waters for awhile and recently thought i'd try out Bioderma as it's hyped up by bloggers and make up artists so I thought i'd do a little comparison between these popular waters.

Garnier RRP: £4.99 for 400ml

This is one of the first Micellar waters I ever tried and I have to say I love it, its affordable and a great value for money. Its kind on the skin and removes make up easily. It's a generous size bottle and honestly I never pay more than £3 for it, you can normally get it on offer at your local supermarket or Savers always have it for £2.99 which is an absolute bargain. I never ever use baby wipes, I prefer micellar water, it leaves the skin feeling softer and cleaner.

Bioderma RRP £14.50 for 500ml

Escentual had 33% of french skincare thoughout October so I decided to jump on the Bioderma bandwagon. It comes in smaller sizes but the 500ml is the best value for money. I manged to get it for about a tenner. The formula is very similar to the Garnier one, I do prefer the Bioderma solution it's nicer on my skin and leaves my skin feeling much softer. I would buy the Bioderma version again as i've been really happy with it. The only problem for me is the price tag, it's taken me awhile to finally purchase it, however I always stock up on the Garnier one whenever I see it on offer.

Boots Botanics RRP £4.49 for 250ml

The Botanics water is a smaller bottle at only 250ml but this makes it ideal for travelling or for a make up artist kit. The formula is very different, it contains hibiscus to brighten the skin. I have to say my skin does feel bright when I use this formula. It leaves the skin feeling soft and clean. I have had some problems with this Micellar water, it irritates my skin. I have sensitive skin and alot of allergies so I guess this is just something that reacts with my skin. It's great at removing eye- make up and unclogs pores really easily.

Rating 6 out of 10

My favourite micellar water is Bioderma, it feels lovely on my skin and leaves it feeling so clean. It's great for my sensitive skin but Garnier wins because it's such a great value for money and so so similar to the Bioderma formula. I tend to use both of these now, I would honestly repurchase both again but I think I would be more likely to get the Garnier one again because it's so cheap and a great quality product.

Have you used any of these products before, whats your favourite micellar water?

I love the Garnier Micellar Cleansing water. It is great at getting rid of make up at the end of the day. It is really gentle on the skin too.
