FASHION: SUNDAY STROLLS

JUMPER: PRIMARK
JEANS: NEW LOOK
RINGS: PANDORA
BRACELET: PANDORA
BOOTS: TRUFFLE
COAT: H&M

We went for a lovely Sunday stroll yesterday. We took Amelia to our local park, we had a nice stroll around the duck pond, she was asleep (obv) but it was a lovely way to spend our Sunday afternoon. We went to my moms for our sunday dinner

I'm so in love with this jumper from Primark, it's such a gorgeous colour and I love the lace detailing and it was a bargain when it scanned through at £5. I bought some new black jeans, these are the supersoft super stretch jeans from New Look. My maternity jeans are now too big but i'm not back down to my pre-pregnancy size so needed to grab a new pair. These boots are old but they are really sturdy and i've seen studded boots have made a comeback

It was bright today but very chilly so I popped my H&M coat on, I'm super excited for the summer.
I can't wait for picnics and walking Amelia around the park in the sun.

I'm hoping to be back blogging more regulary and now the weather is brightening up I will drag Clint out to take some more outfit photos, even if they are just of my comfy mom outfits.

LIFESTYLE: PICKING THE PERFECT WINTER HOLIDAY DESTINATION

We love going on holiday, we actually haven't had a holiday this year because we've been trying to save money as we have a baby on the way. I think we will book a couple of holidays for next year hopefully one before the summer holidays and maybe a winter sun holiday. It will be so exciting to go away on our first holiday with our baby.

We usually book a week away for around this time of year to get away and find some sun.  I love heading off to the Canaries as the weather is great all year round! We have been to nearly all of the Canary Islands, they are one of my favourite places to go and we will be heading there next year as I think it's the perfect destination to take the baby as it has good weather is isn't too far away, it's about 4ish hours on the plane.

One of my favourite places in the Canary Islands is Gran Canaria, it's such a beautiful island with lots of gorgeous flowers around, pretty white buildings and sandy beaches. I really like Puerto Mogan which is one of the little market towns on the island. We've been there a few times to visit the market and to see all the amazing boats in the harbor.

Spending time at the beach or by the pool just relaxing and reading a few books is how I like to spend my holiday. There's some really lovely beaches in Gran Canaria, my favourite is Amadores Beach. We usually stay in the Amadores area so we are close to the beach, the location is really good as you are right around the corner from Puero Rico which is where the nightlife, restaurants and shops are.

Are you planning on getting away this Winter and need some help picking a destination? Check out the Destinations page on Holiday Gems to get lots of ideas on places to go this season.

FASHION: HOW TO STYLE THOSE WINTER KNITS

It's been absolutely freezing the last few days and i've been wrapped up in my hat, scarf and gloves! I thought i'd share a few lovely winter knits as i've been wearing knitted jumpers alot recently.

Jumpers are so versatile and a staple for this time of year. You can easily wear them with some Black skinny jeans or trousers for a casual look but add a pair of heels like these Kitten heels from Next and a statement necklace for a night out. There' some really lovely jumpers out and about right now, I love this Grey wrap back jumper from Next (top right) It would be a lovely day to night jumper, so easy to dress up or down and it looks so cosy. I love this fluffy pink jumper from River Island, I think this is a more casual piece. This is very on trend with the off the shoulder style and the blush pink is gorgeous. You could opt for something more luxurious like a pure cashmere jumper like this one from David Nieper (middle-left) , I love the cable knit design and it looks so comfy and warm. You can't go wrong with a big chunky roll neck knit like this one from New Look, you can wear this with leggings and ugg boots for a comfy everyday look or wear it with thick tights and some heeled boots for an evening look. I'd team it with this clutch bag from Next to dress it up a little. If your after something abit glitzy then this sequin jumper from Next (middle)  is great! You can wear this in so many different ways, it would be perfect for a Christmas party or even Christmas day. What's your favourite kind of knit, do you like the styles i've featured in today's post?

INTERIOR: HOW TO MAKE YOUR BEDROOM COSY FOR WINTER

It's getting so chilly right here in the UK so I thought i'd put together some tips on how to make your bedroom cosy. There's some really easy ways you can create a warm, cosy space so i'm going to share a few right now with you.

It's starting to get darker quicker so get yourself some fairy lights, I got mine from Primark and hang them on your bed or around your dressing table or window. This just adds a little bit of light for those dark evenings when you don't really want to switch your big light or lamp on. Fairy lights make a room so cute and cosy. I also light some candles, you can get some really amazing scents in the run up to Christmas like this Christmas candle by Neom, light these around the room again for a warm, cosy feel. I like to make myself a big mug of hot chocolate with cream and marshmellows and snuggle up in my bed and read a good book for a cosy evening in. Isn't this penguin mug from Primark so cute! Invest in your bed and mattress . By getting yourself a decent bed and mattress you will get a much better sleep. There's so many different types of Mattress to choose from, from Pocket Sprung to Memory Foam so it's worth doing your research and finding the perfect one for you. Sticking with beds, I tend to stock up on a few throws, when it gets cold its nice to have a throw at the bottom of the bed to keep your feet warm. This tartan print one from M&S is gorgeous and looks really nice and snug, perfect for the winter season. I picked up a few Christmas/ Wintery cushions last year so i'll be getting these out and popping them onto the bed again. This Follow your dreams one from Dunelm is so cute!

These are just a few little tips on how to make your room warm, snug and cosy for the winter. I hope you like them, how do you make your room cosy?

Check out my recent blog post all about my tips for de-stressing before bed, check it out here!
