REVIEW: SnüzPouch SLEEPING BAG

SnüzPouch Sleeping Bag 2.5tog -Wave Mono

We have been using the SnüzPouchfor a couple of months now and I thought i'd feature it in a full review today. The SnüzPouch is a sleeping bag for babies, the 0-6 months pouch is suitable for babies from 4kg so we couldn't use it from birth with Amelia because she was small but it fits her beautifully now.

The SnüzPouch is available in lots of colours and prints and aswell as the 2.5 tog they are available in 1.0 tog

The SnüzPouch has a handy zip that makes nighttime changes really easy, the zips are kept safe and secure too away from baby.

It's made from super soft cotton so it's really gentle and soft on babies skin. It's really comfy and cosy and keeps Amelia nice and warm at night. The 2.5 tog is perfect all year round and will last her a good few months. She has loads of growing room and the poppers make it lovely and snug around her arms so it doesn't move around.

I love the monochrome print, I just love the modern print and think the contrasting colours look fab.

We haven't got a 6months + sleeping bag just yet but I think we will seriously consider the SnüzPouch again because I think it's such a lovely quality, it's super soft and they do some lovely prints and colours so they look great. It's washed up really well and I have to wash it very often as Amelia is quite sicky. I feel that the SnüzPouch is quite expensive in comparison to some of the other sleeping bags but it's such a lovely quality and I know it washes well.

LIFESTYLE: MOTHERS DAY GIFT GUIDE 2018

Mothers Day 2018 is on Sunday 11th March

Today's post is a Mothers Day Gift Guide to give you a few ideas on some lovely gifts you can get your mom this Mothers Day. I love to treat my mom and Mothers Day is a great time to go and buy your mom something nice to show her how much you appreciate her. I actually bought my mom a bottle of wine and some gorgeous Yellow Lillies a few weeks ago just to say thanks!

First up are these Crabtree & Evelyn hand creams. I think hand cream is one of those products that I hate to buy but I always use it. I think they make a lovely little gift, the Crabtree & Evelyn ones are so so good and smell amazing.

Why not buy your mom a nice new Fragrance? I don't think you can go wrong with smellies. My mom loves the bottle of YSL Black Opium that I bought her for Christmas. Here's a couple of my favourites right now, Victor and Rolf BonBon, it smells so good, really sweet. Another scent i'm loving is this Ariana Grande perfume, it's a nice fresh scent for everyday.

Has your mom got a charm bracelet? My mom has a Thomas Sabo charm bracelet and I love buying her new charms. This is my Pandora bracelet and they have so many gorgeous charms. It's such a nice gift idea and they have a charm for everything.

I love this Rose Gold photo frame by Addison Ross from Amara.com, I think a photo frame with a lovely thoughtful photo inside is a lovely gift. My mom has recently become a nanny to two beautiful grandchildren so a lovely photo frame that she can pop in her living room and show off her grandbabies is a lovely gift idea.

How gorgeous is this Ted Baker Candle. It smells lovely and it looks fab. They have other colours and scents so be sure to check them out. I love the pink one and it will look fab in my living room as I have a blush pink theme. My mom would love the Burgundy one.

I picked this bag up in Accessorize the other day, I went along to a blog event at the Bullring Birmingham store. Again i'm loving this gorgeous Blush Pink colour right now. I already have this bag in Mustard too, it's such a good size and a lovely everyday bag. Accessorize actually have £10 off if you spend £50 so have a look you could even treat yourself and your mum!

I love getting things personalised, I think it's really thoughtful and shows that a lot of thought and effort has gone into the gift. How lovely is this personalised wine glass from giftsonline4u.com, I think most moms love a glass of wine, mine does! So this personalised wine glass will be perfect.  I will get her a nice bottle of rosè to go with her lovely new glass, it's a really good size too which my mom will be pleased about!  The engraving is really nice and clear and the glass came in a box which makes it really easy to wrap. I think it's such a nice touch getting it personalised and if your mom isn't a fan of wine they also stock champagne flutes and other glasses. They also stock a personalised label that you can stick right onto any bottle. giftsonline4u.com have loads of personalised gifts to choose from so head over and check them out. They stock loads of lovely gifts such as frames, jewellery and mugs which can all be personalised. They offer free standard delivery so order now or pay just £5 for next day delivery to guarantee delivery before Sunday. They stock a huge range of gifts for everyone all year round so think of them for your next special occasion.

I also picked out this Joules Mug from Amara.com again they stock other colours too. I'm loving the pink floral design. It's a great size, I like a big mug. The floral print is really pretty and would make a lovely gift, it comes in a nice box too.

I hope you got some lovely gift ideas from my gift guide, i'm very excited for my first Mothers Day!
I need to pick up a few bits for my mom to go with her wine glass and wine, I was thinking of booking us a spa day so we can have a nice chilled day together. What have you got your mom for Mothering Sunday?

FASHION: SUNDAY STROLLS

JUMPER: PRIMARK
JEANS: NEW LOOK
RINGS: PANDORA
BRACELET: PANDORA
BOOTS: TRUFFLE
COAT: H&M

We went for a lovely Sunday stroll yesterday. We took Amelia to our local park, we had a nice stroll around the duck pond, she was asleep (obv) but it was a lovely way to spend our Sunday afternoon. We went to my moms for our sunday dinner

I'm so in love with this jumper from Primark, it's such a gorgeous colour and I love the lace detailing and it was a bargain when it scanned through at £5. I bought some new black jeans, these are the supersoft super stretch jeans from New Look. My maternity jeans are now too big but i'm not back down to my pre-pregnancy size so needed to grab a new pair. These boots are old but they are really sturdy and i've seen studded boots have made a comeback

It was bright today but very chilly so I popped my H&M coat on, I'm super excited for the summer.
I can't wait for picnics and walking Amelia around the park in the sun.

I'm hoping to be back blogging more regulary and now the weather is brightening up I will drag Clint out to take some more outfit photos, even if they are just of my comfy mom outfits.

HELLO AMELIA

Hello, i'm back! I had a couple of weeks away from my laptop to have a baby. Say hello to Baby Amelia, she's now 10 days old. I thought i'd write a post about our first week and tell you abit about her. I'm going to be writing a labour and delivery story so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Amelia was born on the 12th November 2017 at 13:18 weighing just 6lb 5oz, if you have been a reader for a while you may know we were having growth scans as they believed she was going to be a small baby. We had a scan on the 7th November and they believed she would have been 7lb 110z at this time so they had discharged us and she was considered a low risk labour. Little did we know she was going to be a small baby and when she was born she was on the 2nd centile ( ideally she needed to be above the 10th centile) so they needed to test her blood sugars which turned out to be fine. She has loads of hair, it's quite dark. I think her hair will be quite fair though. Her eyes seem to be blue right now but again this could change over the next few weeks. I think she has long legs and her feet and fingers are long too. She has the cutest button nose!

We were kept in hospital for a few days to keep an eye on Amelia's blood sugars and she was having regular obs. We finally came home on the Tuesday 14th November and it's such a surreal feeling to come home and have this baby to look after. It really does change everything. You can't just run to the shop anymore or go and have a long bath because you have this little human that needs you to take care of them. Clint goes back to work on Monday and i'm petrified of having to look after her all by myself, he's been incredible! We have been the ultimate team and I think we've done really well at sharing the responsibilities, we have both done a good amount of dirty nappies and bottle feeds. I Know when he goes back to work I might have to pick up a few more night feeds but for now were working really well together.

Amelia is such a good baby (so far, I know it's early days) Shes sleeping and eating really well. I really wanted to breastfeed but due to her size she really struggled to latch right away, I have tried and tried to get her on the boob but she's not having any of it and gets herself into a right state so for now i've stopped trying to force it on her. We were just formula feeding her whilst in the hospital, I did use a syringe to get some of my colostrum for her as this is the really good milk that you produce when you have a baby, she managed to get a good amount of this which made me happy. I had a lot of support from the midwives in the hospital but we didn't manage to get her to latch. When we were home I decided to try pumping to see if anything happened and I actually managed to get alot of milk so i've been expressing since. We are combination feeding so Amelia has a mixture of breastmilk and formula because I haven't been able to keep up with her demand, i'm trying to increase the amount of bottles I pump but it's hard with the amount of visitors we've had, it's not the same as breastfeeding because your sat there with your boob out and pumping into a pump, not feeding your baby. I will continue to express for as long as I can so at least Amelia is getting some of my milk, i'm just hoping my supply will continue to produce.

She sleeps really well during the day and mostly in the night, she struggles to get to sleep after some of her early night time feeds and sometimes is quite sicky so even though you've just fed her she becomes irritated and wants more milk. But apart from this she either wakes up for her feeds like clockwork or sometimes mummy and daddy actually have to wake her for her feeds. She just eats and sleeps at the moment, I know this will change over the next few weeks.

That's everything there is to know about Amelia so far really, as I said above i'm going to write my labour story so that should be up very soon.

PREGNANCY: BABY SHOWER GIFT IDEAS

My baby shower is next month so I thought i'd share a few baby shower gift ideas. I tried to think of a few things that we still need to get or things that would be useful to be gifted at our baby shower.

I think everyone tends to go for clothing as buying baby clothes is so addictive and you can't really go wrong. I have included this pack of 3 sleepsuits from Next. I love the baby clothes from Next, they are so soft and very affordable and they have some really on trend pieces.

We have been looking at Ollie the Owl since it came out a few months ago! I think it's such a good product that any parent would be happy to recieve for their newborn. Ollie the Owl is a light and sound sleep aid. With a built in cry sensor it's such a good gift idea for any expectant parent. It's suitable from birth and you can use on a cot, pushchair or carseat using the Velcro attachment.

Also from the lovely people at The Gro Company are grobags, I think alot more parents are using sleeping bags now as they are really safe. They have lots of patterns, prints and togs to choose from.
I know one of my friends is getting us a grobag for my baby shower and I think it's such a good gift idea.

How cute is this Emma Bridgewater mug, i've wanted one for ages but I have so many mugs, i'd love someone to get me the Mummy one, it's so cute. They also do personalised ones, and I think i'll have to buy bubba one with her name on as a little keepsake.

Finally, this changing mat is so gorgeous, it's from a brand called Mama Shack. I'm going to order it on payday as I love it and i'm gonna have it personalised with bubbas name, i'm super excited. It would be a lovely baby shower present. You don't have to have the babys name you can have it personalised with a quote or even the surname if you are keeping the name a secret or haven't picked one yet.

There's so much you could buy, don't just go from clothing as everyone buys clothes. Ask the momma if there's anything they need, incase they haven't bought something and you can get that for them, when your having a baby you have lots of random stuff you need to buy, i'm getting my sister her sterilizer as we're both having girls and she will more than likely get lots of clothes once my baby has grown out of them. You can get lots of personal gifts now too online like prints and blankets etc.
