LIFESTYLE: MY BUCKET LIST

I would consider myself to be a live my life kind of person, I believe that this is our life and we should live it to the full. I like to travel to places and experience things. If I have a week off work it's very rare that I would do absolutely nothing. I got to go to Orlando, Florida last year and that was very high on my bucket list. I'm so glad we went and although we couldn't really afford it, we made it happen because it's an experience and we knew we may not get the chance any time soon. It was amazing we had such a brilliant time. We also went to Dublin and to Ibiza last year and that's because I haven't managed to get onto a teacher training course so i'm working. Since we went to Ibiza we have got our own flat which is another thing that was on my Bucket list because I felt like i'd never be able to afford to move out and now I have and I love it! So i'm having to put other things on hold and we might not be able to afford any amazing trips like we did last year but its worth it.

MY BUCKET LIST

  1. Personally I would love to travel, i'd love to visit the world and live in some amazing places. I want to see Australia, New Zealand, The Grand Canyon, New York, Las Vegas, Thailand, Paris and many more. This is my dream i'd love to drop everything, have absolutely no commitments and experience the world.
  2. I want to get that dream job, I always wanted to be a teacher. I'm not sure if that's still my dream but I will do what I have to do to get there and get a job that I love.
  3. I wouldn't be greedy but i'd love to be financially stable when i'm older so I could decide if I want to work, i'd love to just be able to spend everyday with Clint whether it's just at home or we could go out everyday and experience new things.
  4. I have been to a festival before but I really want to go to another one, it would be amazing to go to one in a different country.
  5. I really want to go Skiing, i've actually been looking for next year so that would be so so amazing, i'm slightly accident prone so i'd need to be very careful not to injure myself.
  6. Go Skydiving, i've always wanted to go skydiving. I might have to pop my name down and do it for charity - how amazing would that be!
  7. Have a nice house, and a happy healthy family.
I'm sure as I get older I will tick some of these off and i'll also add more to this list. It's really fun to think of things you want to do in your lifetime. I think most of my bucket list is realistic, I think it's wise to be realistic because chances are you won't get to be a millionaire before you die or sing on stage with Beyonce but it's also fun to add it too your list, anything can happen.

MY WEEKEND IN DUBLIN

A couple of weeks ago myself and Clint went to Dublin for the weekend. We went for Clints 27th birthday. Neither of us had been to Dublin before but I had researched things to do whilst we were there so we had a very busy weekend planned.

We arrived on the Thursday night so headed straight for our hotel which was quite far out of the city center however they have a tram which we took to our hotel. The next morning we headed into the city and had some breakfast. We just went to a little help yourself place which was quick and easy so we were ready to start our day! We started off by getting tickets for a sightseeing hop on and off bus so we could get around and find out where the main attractions were, we got off at Dublin Zoo as this is a little out the way so we thought we would do this first!

The zoo was about 16 euro each and it was massive. At first I thought it seemed small but there was loads to see. I got to see penguins!! We had a lovely time at the zoo! it's really big and a great value for money we spent a good couple of hours here!

After the Zoo we headed to the Guinness Storehouse which was another popular attraction that we had planned to visit. It's a self guided tour of the storehouse, inside you find out all about Guinness and you even get to pour your own pint! You get a complimentary pint included in the ticket price!
This was 18 euro on the door however you do save 10% if you book online, the queue was quite long however there was no queue for people with tickets so i'd recommend getting your tickets online.

After this we had a little walk around and ended up in a shopping center we found a cute burger place called rockets which did amazing burgers, and we had fries covered in bacon and cheese it was so good. We then headed for Temple Bar which i'd heard was supposed to have really good live bands and a great atmosphere and it didn't disapoint. It was so so busy but we found a seat in the beer garden. There was a great atmosphere The drinks were really expensive we paid about 18 euro for two drinks. But we had a great evening,

The next day we got up early and had a cheeky mcdonalds breakfast. The weather was amazing so we had a walk around and ended up at a park so we got ourselves an icecream and sat down in the park. It was such a gorgeous day so it was really busy. We had a wonder around and went into some of the shops. Primark in Dublin is amazing so much better than here in Birmingham.

We went to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner and then went to a few little bars and pubs and had some drinks before heading back to the hotel. This was the day that the results of the marriage referendum were announced aswell so everyone was so happy and chilled out! we went down to the castle but it was so busy so we couldn't get in.

On our last day we got up and checked out early so we could make the most of our last day. We had to get the bus to the airport so wanted to make sure we had plenty of time so we didn't miss our flight.
We got up and went for a proper irish fry up, we ended up in a cute bar that was really fancy.
Then we made our way to Dublin Castle so we could see it properly as we didn't get to see it the day before. Then we went for a cake and a cuppa in this cute little cafe it was lovely!

Finally we went to check out the timetable for the bus and right by the stop was a waxworks so we thought we would go inside. It was 12 euro each, I have to say I wasn't impressed I didn't know most of the waxworks and the ones I did know were abit naff, they didn't look realistic at all but it was still a good laugh.

We had the most amazing weekend in Dublin, i'd recommend it for a weekend away. It's quite expensive so wouldn't say its a cheap getaway but theres loads to do if you like to walk around and sightsee!

RADISSON BLU BIRMINGHAM

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram you may know I stayed in a hotel this week. I stayed in the Radisson Blu in Birmingham. I've walked past the hotel a few times and I have to say from the outside it looks really impressive. I jumped at the chance to stay here!

It was so exciting, we stayed on Thursday night. I finished work early and we headed straight into Birmingham. The closest car park to the hotel is New Street Car park. We checked in smoothly and were told we had been upgraded to a one bedroom suite. So we headed up to the room. We were on the 11th floor, you had to use your room key for the lift which I thought was a really clever security idea.

We got to the room and it was huge, there was a small loo as you got in the room and a few little cupboards. There was a living room with a desk, a tv and wardrobes and inside was tea and coffee making facilities, a Tassimo machine and the mini bar. The next room was the bedroom, there was a huge bed, another tv, an ipod dock and a full length mirror and bedside tables and then the bathroom, there was a bath and a shower, another toilet and sink. There was a huge selection of toiletries and essentials like a shaving kit and toothbrush and toothpaste.
Before we could even take the room in we were greeted by room service who had brought up a plate with fruit and truffles on which I thought was a cute touch.

We had a shower and got ready for dinner in the Filini restaurant, it was really nice getting to dress up for a posh dinner. The restaurant was really nice, lots of tables. I started off with the Autumno Bellini which was like a peach and Prosecco cocktail. Clint chose a salami Pizza and I had the Paccheri with Shallot puree which was a pasta dish. Clint said he really enjoyed his food, we also shared a portion of parmesan fries which were nice. My pasta was really good, I normally go for a chicken dish but decided to try the pasta. It was so good! The service was great, the staff were really attentive.

After this we went for a drink in the Lobby Bar, I had a sex on the beach cocktail which was really good, it made me feel like we were on holiday. The bar was chilled and the service was good.

We really enjoyed our night at the Radisson Blu, I'd stop there again and i'd recommend it to friends, I would say to pay the extra for the one bedroom suite as you wouldn't be disappointed theres great views and the rooms are so big. I think the rooms could maybe do with a freshen up, some of the furniture was scratched and there was some stains on the curtains so I think just a good clean and maybe some new bed sheets and curtains would make the rooms really nice and clean this didn't put me off my stay and I was still really impressed with the room.

The breakfast is included with the one bedroom suite. Breakfast is a buffet style and theres just so much choice! I had little fry up and then some fruit and a yoghurt, some juice and a cuppa tea. It was all soo good.

Overall I really enjoyed our stay, the staff were great very attentive, the hotel was clean and tidy. It looked grand and i'd recommend it to friends and family. I think it would be a great place to stay for an occasion.

*I stayed at the Radisson Blu Birmingham to review the hotel, my room, dinner and breakfast were complimentary. I have not been paid for this review. The opinions above are honest and my own opinions and words.

LIFESTYLE: PUERTO MOGAN

So as you may know i've just got back from Gran Canaria, I stayed in Amadores which is right by Puerto Rico which is a tourist area. I visited Puerto Mogan for the day to visit the market which is held every friday, you can get a water taxi which costs about 10 euro each which is well worth it!
I wanted to share some photos of Mogan as its gorgeous and such a lovely place to spend the day if you are going on holiday to Gran Canaria. It's described as Little Venice which as you can see is because of the canals and pretty little building. There is also a beach and many bars and restaurants which are great !
