EVENT: CAFE ROUGE #SUMMERTASTEADVENTURE

I was recently invited along to Cafe Rouge in Birmingham for their Summer Taste Event! The event was all about their new summer menu and I was lucky enough to head along to the event and check out some amazing food!

First of all the weather was incredible, it was really sunny and warm so as we walked along the canal to the venue was so lovely, the Mailbox was buzzing and everyone was having such a good time.

We was offered a drink on arrival and went through into the room where the event was being hosted. The french doors were open and there was flowers and balloons everywhere so the vibe was fab really welcoming and summery.

They started by introducing us to the chef who talked about the new menu and we got to have some appetizers. I didn't have any of these but Clint and everyone else seemed to enjoy these, they looked fab!

I tried a few of the new mocktails which were perfect for the summer. My favourite was the Rouge Blush Mocktail which was really good!  They were also fixing up Gin Blooms but as i'm pregnant I couldn't try these! They looked fab though, really refreshing.

For starter I ordered the Croquettes De Legumes which was so good! We've actually had this before but it's just so good and a really nice, light starter.

For mains I had the Crepe Au Four which is a new dish on the menu, It was a white creamy sauce dish covered in a crepe and baked, inside was lots of mushrooms. It was really tasty, I think it would taste better with chicken inside too, if this was an option it would be so good!

We got to sample a selection of deserts which were all amazing, I really enjoyed the Lemon Posset which was so good!

The event was really good, everyone was chatting and really friendly. There was so much food and drink everywhere and it all tasted so good! It was such a lovely event and so chilled and a lovely way to spend a gorgeous summer evening. Check out Cafe Rouge in the Mailbox in Birmingham, it's on the canal and has fab views, they have outside seating which is perfect for these warmer nights we've been having. EVENT: BLOGGERS BREAKFAST AT COTE WITH JOHNNY LOVES ROSIE

Last week I headed into birmingham bright and early to meet lots of lovely bloggers and the lovely ladies at Johnny Loves Rosie. We headed to Cote Brasserie at the Mailbox to enjoy an amazing breakfast and the sun was out which was amazing.

I've never been to Cote Brasserie before but it was a gorgeous place to have our bloggers breakfast! All of the food looked and tasted amazing and the staff were great too! It's actually on the canal side too and they have seating outside. The breakfast menu looked amazing and everything sounded great I went for the Smoked Salmon and scrambled egg on toast which was sooo good!!

The table was beautifully decorated with flowers and there was a lovely box of goodies for each of us which was so gorgeous. There was lots of lovely bloggers at the event so it was great getting to meet new people and catch up with bloggers i've met before. I had a really great morning.

The lovely ladies from Johnny Loves Rosie had brought over lots of products from the brand for us to try on and have a look at which was great. They stock an amazing selection of clutch bags, watches, chokers and other jewellery too. I loved the chokers, they were all so unique. The watches are gorgeous too!  They had these fun ears out too which would be perfect for Halloween. I really liked the clutch bags too. Everything was really good quality and you can see that alot of effort has gone into each piece.

I had such an amazing morning and i'd love to thank Johnny Loves Rosie for inviting me. The brand is so lovely and I love that they are based in Birmingham too which is amazing.

REVIEW: BARDOLINO BIRMINGHAM BLOGGERS BRUNCH

On Tuesday I headed into Birmingham for the launch of Bardolino which is a new restaurant that just opened in the Cube. Bardolino is a new Pizzeria, Bellini and Espresso bar by Marco Pierre White. The 'Ultra Casual' restaurant is located at the Cube and is canal side so it's a fab stop if your in Birmigham shopping and you want a bite to eat with the girls or if you have a family occasion and all want to get together for a meal.

Marco believes that italian food is 'affordable and delicious and thats exactly what Bardolino is.
Their main menu is very affordable and is full of lot of amazing dishes that sound amazing. I will be popping by next time i'm in Birmingham to try their Pizza and Al Forno's.

I was so excited when I arrived at Bardolino's and the table was full of amazing looking food. I decided to try a little bit of everything rather than order one thing. Everything that I tried was so good, my favourite dish was the scrambled egg with Salmon. I don't usually eat Salmon but I really wanted to try it and it was lovely. You could tell the Salmon was really fresh and good quality and it was a great portion size. I also tried the Sausage Ciabatta which was really tasty and the Avocado on toast.

They also offer an Italian full breakfast which would be perfect for those sunday morning hangovers. I tried the bacon and the beans and they were both really tasty. I think i'd order the full breakfast next time I go for Brunch as I really enjoyed everything I tried.

I didn't try any of the Bagels but they looked amazing so i'd love to give them a try aswell, they offer Tomato, Mozzarella and Basil, Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese and The Elvis Presley, Peanut Butter and Banana which sounds SO GOOD!

I also had Peach Bellini which was really good aswell as my fresh orange juice, They offer a huge selection of smoothies and juices which all sound amazing and looked very impressive.

Overall I was so impressed with Bardolino, it really ticked all of my boxes. I loved that it was casual, you could drop in for lunch in your jeans and you won't feel out of place. It has a very relaxed vibe however they also have stations where you can plug in your laptop so you could pop in for a coffee and read your emails. The prices were so affordable for both the brunch menu and the main menu. I love the Decor! The lights, the chairs even the tiles were gorgeous!

It's family friendly too, they actually have a massive table where your family can all sit together and chat over brunch or you could pop by with work colleagues for a quick bite to eat at lunch. They also cater for people with food allergies or intolerance's so let them know when your ordering as they offer lots of alternatives and are so accommodating.

Check out the Bardolino menu on their website and be sure to book a table online too as I think this place is going to be so popular. It's in a great location, they have a great menu and lovely staff so be sure to check them out!

* My review is honest and my own words. I was invited to try the food however I have not been paid for this blog post
