BEAUTY: KIEHLS EVENT BIRMINGHAM

I recently went along the Kiehls event in Birmingham. The new Kiehls store in Grand Central station in Birmingham is absolutely gorgeous. The event was so good and I got to meet some really lovely people. There was a great selection of people at the event including bloggers, youtubers and instagrammers, everyone was so lovely.

The event started with a little ice-breaker, we went round and introduced ourselves and what we do to everyone. We then learnt a little bit about Kiehls and their heritage, they were founded in 1851.

We were then offered the chance to have a skincare consultation which was really interesting, i've always been confused about my skin type as I always used to think I had oily skin but then I found out my skin was dry/ dehydrated. After testing my skin and asking me a few questions about my routine we established that my skin is normal/ dry. Part of the consultation includes recommending products for your skincare routine. For my normal to dry skin barrier they recommended the Centella Skin Calming Cleanser this is such a lovely light product which leaves the skin lovely and soft. I really liked the formula and it's something i'd love to pick up and try. The Aloe Vera in this comforts and calms the skin which would be perfect for me as my skin is sometimes sensitive and irritated easily. Next up to prepare the skin was the Skin Brightening Exfoliator which smells gorgeous, it contains White birch and Peony. It effectively cleanses and exfoliates pores to minimize skin irregularities and dullness. I actually bought this cleanser at the event so I will be trying it out and reviewing it on the blog. I also love the sound of the Hydro-plumping serum concentrate which I really really want to try. It sounds amazing, and felt so lovely and soft on my hand. I really like the idea of creating a smooth base. This product improves the appearance of the skin and smoothes fine lines. I was so excited to hear the Ultra Facial Cream is a good match for my skin type as I already have a huge tub of this at home that I really like and will be incorporating into my daily routine.
Finally that must have Kiehls product Midnight Recovery Concentrate, which is a facial oil. You use one or two drops and it replenishes the skin with moisture and helps to recover radiance.

I really enjoyed learning about my skin type and what products would work better and why? I got to find out about lots of really amazing products and my Kiehls wishlist is so long now! I'm excited about including the Ultra Facial Cream and Skin Brightening Exfoliator into my routine.

Thanks so much to Kiehls for inviting me to the event and the goodies we were given, i'm so excited to give the samples ago. The staff were so lovely and really helpful and it was overall a really lovely event which i'm so glad I went along to. Head into your local Kiehls to find out more about your skin barrier and what products would suit you and combat your skin concerns.

My skin is super sensitive at the moment, I'll have to pop in and have a chat with them!

Lovely post.
