CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE: BEAUTY LOVER

I've put some gifts together for the beauty lover in your life. So much choice from hair goodies to skincare goodies.

The Body Shop always do lots of exciting Christmas collections and this year they have not disappointed. They have lots of lovely Christmas gifts in so many different scents. I'm loving the Vanilla Chai scent it smells so so good! This is the Sugar Body Scrub* which smells amazing and they have lots of other products in this range. I have included the hand cream from the Spiced Apple range *and these Bath Fizzers would make a nice little addition to anyones stocking.

I thought this little Dirty works gift was a cute addition to my gift guide. It was actually a gift from a friend for my Birthday but something like this would make a nice little gift for a friend or work colleague

This brush set from Look Good Feel Better* is a great gift idea for any beauty lover. It's a nice little set of brushes.  I think these brushes are really nice quality and are affordable and it's lovely that a donation is made from each purchase.

The Shadow Switch is a Dry make up brush cleaner and it great to switch between different eyeshadow shades or clean your brushes quickly. You can pick one up for £5.99* from Amazon. Again I think this would make a great stocking filler for any make up lover.

The Wet Brush* is a lovely gift idea, they are a really nice size and a lovely brush. I have a pink one and I use it every single day. It detangles your hair so easily and is designed for wet hair. this orange and yellow one is just one of the many many different colours and styles they do. Prices do vary but they are very reasonable.

The Shea Moisture Fruit Fusion Coconut Water Texturising spray is available in Boots for £10.99* and is a lightweight spray to add texture to the hair. It sounds so so good, I haven't used it yet but it would be a great gift for any hair enthusiast. I like texture sprays and think this sounds lovely.

I really like Lee Stafford products and this hair tong would make a lovely gift. The Coco Loco Long Tong *is such a great good curler and really affordable. I think the packaging is fab and would be great for any age.

Umberto Giannini* have so many amazing hair products that anyone would love to recieve this Christmas. They have a huge selection of products for all hair types and there really is something for everyone. I have lots of new goodies to try out, i'm especially excited to try the Glam Beach Salt Spray and the Indulge range.

So Eco* are a environmentally friendly brush range another lovely gift idea for a beauty lover. It comes in this nice box and perfect for a make up lover as a nice little addition.

REVIEW : HC LUXSPA IN SELFRIDGES

I was so excited when HC LuxSpa popped up in Selfridges, it looks lush and they do amazing gel nails and hand treatments. I was stalking them for a a while on twitter and instagram and knew I needed to visit. So when they contacted me about going in I jumped at the chance!

I wasn't really sure what treatment to have so the lovely Lauren said she would show me a bit of everything which sounded perfect!

So first I picked which colour I was going to have, there's so many different ones to choose from. The Morgan Taylor polishes that they use look like really good quality and like I say come in such a variety of colours, the bottle is a really generous size aswell. I decided to go for Posh which Lauren said was quite a popular colour at the moment. It matches my Thomas Sabo Bracelet and my Olivia Burton watch perfectly.

Then Lauren prepped my nails, filed sorted out my cuticles. She soaked my nails in the salt of the earth AROMASALT which smells amazing. They are the only place in the UK to use salt of the earth products in their manicures. She used an amazing tool for my cuticles and I have to say this is so good, I could actually see the cuticles being removed, i've never had this done before during a manicure. She then exfoliated my hands and also gave me an amazing hand massage.  This is all included in the express manicure aswell but its just a quick massage however they still spend time on you're cuticles. So still well worth the money if your in a hurry,

Next was the IBX treatment - This month (October 2014) you can get a free IBX treatment on top of any gel polish manicure. I would totally recommend it, I think my nails felt stronger as soon as she put it on. It's supposed to strengthen the nails and make them grow. It also gives a better finish to your gel nails. It's normally only £10 on top of a treatment. She applied 3 coats of this so again well worth the money!

Next was the gel colour, I chose Posh which was this gorgeous natural pinky/mink shade. It's just gorgeous! I've had so many compliments about the colour. I was so happy with the finish. My nails look very clean and I just love the colour so much. I was very happy with my treatment and I am actually obsessed, I can't wait to go back. I can honestly say I will be going back regularly for my nails, I normally have gels anyway and would rather go to HC LuxSpa and have this lovely service and quality finish.

To have an express manicure and gel polish finish it would cost £25 + an extra £10 for IBX treatment. I normally pay about £25 and get no where near this standard of finish so would much rather return to HC LuxSpa in the future.

*I was invited to have a complimentary treatment by HC LuxSpa however the review above is the truth and my own opinions.
