BEAUTY: LUSH MOTHERS DAY 2018

I know Mothers Day has been and gone but I thought i'd share a few of the Mothers Day products that I was kindly sent over, they unfortunately didn't arrive until after Mothers Day but a few of the items are still available on the Lush website but they will be gone very soon.

The first product is Mum in a Spin, OMG i'm super excited to try this. It has a lavender and Ylang Ylang scent so is perfect to help you drift off. It makes the water pink. I love the reusable bubble bars and think this is very similar.

The Antiope Naked Shower Gel is a orange scented product, which refreshed and rejuvenates the skin.

The Honey Bear massage bar has alot of really good reviews over on the lush website. It has a gorgeous caramel/vanilla scent. With cocoa butter and shea butter to leave the skin feeling super soft.

The Purple Loosestrife soap looks beautiful and would make a wonderful gift. It has a floral scent, a trio of Rose, Hibiscus and Lavender to create a lovely parma-violet scent. It's such a pretty soap that I almost don't want to use it.

The Madame President is a bath bomb, it has a grapefruit scent and antiseptic properties. It turns the water a gorgeous purple colour and the stars seperate and fizz too!

Citrus are doing it for themselves!  is a new marbled bubbleroon. It has a citrus scent of grapefruit and lemon oil.

As I metioned above the Mothers Day products won't be around for much longer, so if anything takes your fancy then check them out now! They also have some of the Mothers Day gift sets too so check them out.

LIFESTYLE: WAYS TO STAY POSITIVE THIS YEAR

In today's post I want to talk about staying positive and ways in which I think you can stay positive and increase your productivity in 2018. I'm going to include a few products to help you stay organised and things you can do to make 2018 the best year yet!

First up it's the 18th of January so you should all have a brand new diary and calendar, if not you need to go and get one. I think writing down things really helps me stay productive and I like to tick things off and this keeps me on track. I also keep a note of any appointments etc, coffee with friends so i'm super productive and know what i'm doing from one day to the next. If I have a free day then I can use this for blogging and i'll usually write a list of blog posts I want to write or write a list of products I need to review so i've always got something to write about. I also use the calendar and notes on my phone but I find actually writing things in my diary and on my calendar works better for me. There's lots of lovely planners around like The Happiness Planner and these ones from Dot Creates and so if you work from home or like having a big diary I think they are great and have lots of sections to keep you organised.

Next up why not invest in a new wardrobe, get yourself some nice new clothes that you will be proud to be seen in. If you work in an office get yourself a nice new jacket or suit. This will make you feel really confident, and ready to get that promotion this year. If you are self-employed even though you don't wear a uniform appearing clean and professional is a good way to get new commissions, work etc, even if you just invest in a new dress, pair of jeans or a new coat.

Having a positive mental attitude is going to boost positivity and productivity this year. Why not join the gym or start going for a run, I find exercise a really good way of thinking and i've come up with some really good ideas whilst i've been out for a jog. Exercise can also help you sleep better which is another benefit and another way to boost your positive attitude.
Start doing yoga, have a massage, go for a walk around a park, just take some time out for you. Personal well-being is very important and looking after yourself should be a priority this year.

Healthy eating is another good way of staying positive, I always have a 'lets do this' attitude when i'm eating well. I'm always very motivated to do well. Sugary and fatty foods can make you feel sluggish and can leave you feeling tired and irritated.

BEAUTY: URBAN DECAY ALL NIGHTER FOUNDATION REVIEW

I've been using the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation for a while now, I've actually just repurchased it and realised that i'd never reviewed it on my blog. So I thought i'd share my thoughts with you and finally review it.

I have it in shade 2 which is a light shade, I was actually matched up a while ago but am still happy with this shade. It's a natural shade and I can easily use bronzer to add abit of colour. They have 24 shades to choose from

The packaging is gorgeous and I like that it has a pump and lid as you can easily throw it in your make up bag and you don't need to worry about accidents happening. The pump gives you a good amount of product, I find that one pump pretty much does my whole face. I tend to go for a natural coverage but I know my sister uses a few more pumps and builds up a fuller coverage. I use a buffing brush or sometimes a stippling brush to apply and I love the natural finish this gives. It's really easy to build up and if i'm having a bad skin day or going out I'll put a little more on for a fuller coverage.

The product blends really well and looks so natural. It's not cakey at all and doesn't sit on the skin. It sinks in well and leaves the skin looking flawless. I have quite dry skin with some combination areas and I find this works really well for me. It doesn't go patchy at all. It's so easy to apply and work into the skin. I use this along side my Collection lasting perfection concealer and it's the perfect base. It dries into the skin very fast and then i'll usually apply a setting powder and my contour for everyday.

As I mentioned above I've just repurchased this foundation and I don't do that very often.I quite like trying out different brands and foundations but I found this ticked all of the boxes and is a really good everyday foundation. I find it really easy to apply and it always looks good. I have had so many reviews about looking radiant and healthy since i've started using this foundation.

It's £29 for the bottle which I think is really reasonable and is much cheaper that foundations I was using before and the pump is already attached so you don't have to spend extra money buying this. I've used the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray before and really like this for nights out, i'd love to try out a few more bits and see what I think.

I have seen mixed reviews on this foundation so it's worth checking out a few reviews. As I mentioned above I have dry skin and I find it doesn't cling to any dry patches but I've seen reviews saying people don't get on well with it. Maybe try a sample first and see how your skin reacts. I took a risk and just picked it up in store and I love it.

BEAUTY: CLARINS BB SKIN DETOX FLUID REVIEW

So, i've been using the Clarins BB Skin Detox Fluid pretty much every single day since it came through my letter box! I've been so impressed with it that it's easily become my everyday foundation.
I have to say i'm a huge Clarins fan and I love using their skincare and make up. I'm not normally a fan of BB creams however I found this to be unlike a BB cream.

The formula is quite thick for a BB cream but it blends into the skin so easily and effortlessly. It blends really well and doesn't leave your skin patchy. The coverage is so good but still natural, I still use a concealer under my eye and on my blemishes but there's so need to sweep your face in concealer because the coverage is good and will cover any redness / uneven skin tone. The product leaves the skin feeling so hydrated and radiant and it lasts all day. It dries into the skin fast as well which means you can apply your bronzer and other products pretty much straight away.

I apply the product with a stippling style brush however the website tells you to apply with your hands. It says to let the product melt into your hands and apply and then pat into the skin however I didn't like the finish when I applied it this way. I found using my usual foundation brush works well for me. I think if you use a beauty blender this would work well too! I like that this product has a pump and I really love the packaging!

You can pick this up from your local Clarins counter or via the website here, Clarins RRP: £30

REVIEW : MAKE UP FOREVER BIRMINGHAM

On Monday I went along to Make Up Forever in Debenhams Birmingham for a consultation and to get my make up done. I've been sent some products by Make Up Forever aswell so I'll be reviewing them soon.

So I decided I wanted to learn about contour and wanted a nice bronzed look for the summer. Neive started by taking my make up off and then she prepped the skin with their smoothing primer
This left my skin feeling so smooth and soft, this smoothes out the skin and blurs out imperfections. I really loved this. Then she went for the brows. Using the Aqua Brow kit she followed my brow shape and defined my brows, she made them look really bold, the Aqua Brow kit looks really easy to use. Next she started with the eyes, she prepped the eyes with an eyeshadow primer.  I told her I was loving my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette right now so we decided to go for pink eyeshadow. She used a mixture of shades to create a gorgeous smokey eye. Then she used a mixture of kohl pencils along the bottom of my eye and a liquid liner to create a gorgeous flick. She used the Graphic Liner to get the shape and then went over with the Ink liner which is sooo black ! She applied the Smokey Stretch Mascara later on after she had finished with my base.

Using the HD foundation in 118 she applied my base. I'm so impressed with this foundation, it leaves the skin looking flawless and it blends so well. She then used concealer under the eye and down my nose and up onto the forhead. She then set this with the Pro Finish powder, this made it look really natural and flawless. Next we went ahead with the contour using the Make Up Forever Sculpting kit. The sculpting kit looked really easy to use and created a really lovely contour. She then used Star powder to highlight my cheek bones, the inner eye and cupids bow.

Finally onto the lips, we went for a slight ombre lip so Neive used two different lip colours. The lip product that Neive used was called Aqua Rouge, it's a double ended product which looks like a lipgloss. Aqua Rouge is actually a waterproof lip product, which leaves the lips with a matte finish.  It comes with a clear gloss which leaves the lips more shiny and soft. I loved the colour of my lips and the product felt so nice and lasted all day.

Make Up Forever Birmingham offer a selection of different consultation packages which range in price and help you to learn about the products and how to use them. The staff are so friendly, professional and knowledgeable, I had such a lovely time at Make Up Forever Birmingham.

*I went along to Make Up Forever and had a free consultation, I have not been paid for this review and all opinions are my own and honest.

NEW: CLARINS GARDEN ESCAPE SPRING COLLECTION

This week you will be able to get your hands on the Garden Escape Spring Make Up Collection from Clarins, i've been given the opportunity to try these Lip Balms which are part of the new collection.
They come in 6 different shades and retail at £18 each. Each lip balm contains Wild mango butter and Shea Butter to prevent dehydration and to nourish and protect. I think they are really lovely, they glide onto the lips effortlessly and leaves a very natural looking colour. They leave the lips feeling soft and nourished, not greasy or sticky. They also leave your lips feeling plump and hydrated for ages. I been wearing these for the last few days, I've got number 6 rosewood in my gym bag, this is a brown/ nude shade which is very natural. I've also been wearing number 5 which is red, because again its just so effortless, a lovely natural red lip but your lips are left feeling soft and hydrated. The packaging is gorgeous, the gold lid makes it look so elegant and luxurious.

Overall theres a great range of colours to choose from, the price is very resonable and your getting a great quality lip product for colour and non stop hydration.

Avaliable now here www.clarins.co.uk - RRP £18* each

*I was gifted these products for my consideration and no other compensation was received. All opinions and reviews are honest and my own opinions.  Read full disclosure here.

REVIEW: AIRMOTION HAIRBRUSH

 AIRMOTION HAIRBRUSH - £11.95* - BUY HERE

The AirMotion Hairbrush is a revolutionary multi-use hairbrush. Invented and designed in the UK. I won mine at the #FabbBirmingham event, they are avaliable on the AirMotion website for £11.95

The brush is designed to smooth and straighten your hair as you brush it. It removes frizz and easily distributes product throughout the hair.

It's detangles the hair and doesn't hurt, its so gentle and easily brushes through all lengths.

It has a non-slip grip and is easy for both left and right handed people.

My favourite thing about the AirMotion Pro is how easily it detangles my hair, i'm so lazy and hate brushing my hair. It's dry and hurts so bad when I brush through it. Not anymore, the AirMotion Pro is so easy to use. It's kind to my hair, I think they would be perfect for kids.

I have a Tangle Teezer and they are similar, Tangle Teezers don't have the straightening or frizz free technology that the AirMotion has, also they long handle makes it easier and more precise when using.

#LUSHCHRISTMAS EVENT COVENTRY

Last week I attended the #LushChristmas event in Coventry, I rushed straight from work and was worried I wasn't going to make it but I have to say it was well worth power walking across Coventry!

When I arrived everyone was just about to head inside and we were introduced to the lovely staff of the Coventry store, some of which I've seen before as I used to go to Coventry University and would spend many student loan days in Lush Coventry!

We were given to option to walk around the store as a group or in smaller groups to see the latest Christmas and Halloween Selection.

First of all I headed over to the bath bombs and bubble bars! I'm loving all of the new collection in particular Luxury Lush Pud, which has made a comeback but this year its PINK! Northern Lights is AMAZING ! Its a bath bomb as the ends fizz away it leaves amazing yellows and blues within the purple water.  (shown in photo below its the purple one)

Next over to look at the soaps and shower gels! I bought Yog Nog which has a gorgeous honeycomb kind of smell to it. Its made from Soya Yoghurt and just smells so christmasy ! I got given a sample of Reindeer Rock which is another soap, this one has reindeers engraved into it! Its smells so sweet and fruity, the scent is so calming! Of course Snow Fairy has returned and I have to say this year I don't think it's as strong which for me is great! Last year I found my bottle was just a little too overpowering however I might get myself a bottle this year and try it again.

I gave Santas lip scrub and santa baby lip tint ago aswell. I am in love with the lip scrub, it exfoliates the lips and doesn't leave a nasty taste. It smells lovely aswell. I really regret not buying the lip tint as it looked really nice on my lips so I may have to go and buy it!

Theres a huge selection of amazing gift sets for Christmas! They are such good value for money with some of the best bath bombs and bubblebars inside. We spotted an advent calender style gift which is £49.95 and contains 12 gifts. They also have HUGE giftsets for those BIG Lush Fans! You could get them the Ultimate Christmas Gift this year like White Christmas which contains 17 products.

I had such an amazing time at the event and I'd like to thank Lush Coventry for inviting me. I had a great catch up with the other bloggers and finally got to meet a few people so it was all round an amazing night. We were all given a very generous goodie bag which was full of different products and then I also went a little crazy and bought a few bits and pieces! I will be reviewing these as I use them so keep an eye open for those.
