EVENT: JOHN LEWIS SOLIHULL WEDDING SHOWCASE

I was kindly invited along to the John Lewis store in Solihull for their first wedding showcase event. We are not planning a wedding just yet, still waiting for someone to pop the question but I've got a lot of friends and followers who are getting married soon and I wanted to show what John Lewis have to offer. I also think it's a good way to start planning a wedding as you can get loads of ideas and inspiration. So whether your planning a wedding or just want to get some ideas i'd say head on down to your local John Lewis to find out more, or head on over to their website.

There was lots going on in store which was open to all shoppers but you could also book a place at the wedding showcase, you get a glass of bubbly and a very generous goodie bag! The showcase took place all day and things such as the fashion show and beauty demonstrations were repeated throughout the day so it didn't matter what time you arrived. There was lots going on throughout the day! As I walked into the store I could hear live music, they had the Boogaloo Babes performing, they were fab! They have a very unique sound and were just lovely! Would be perfect as a wedding band, they had alot of energy!

First up I headed to the beauty department as Chanel were doing a natural wedding make up demonstration. The Chanel consultant took us step by step though what she was doing and why and what products she was using. It looked really simple but effective and the model was actually part of the fashion show later on and looked lovely! If your interested in hearing more about Chanel skincare and make up products for your wedding then head to the counter on the first floor. They actually have one of their regional make up artists on the counter next week so contact the counter to find out more.

Whilst in the beauty department I popped over to Bobbi Brown as they were also doing beauty demonstrations on the day. They offer a Bridal Make-Up Lesson, this is £50 but fully redeemable against products. They teach you how to apply the make-up. This is perfect for someone who wants to do their own make up but learn more... Maybe your on a budget so don't want to book a MUA, this way you can learn some tips and tricks on how to apply it yourself. There's some how to's over on the Bobbi Brown website.

After the Chanel demonstration I headed over to fashion for the Wedding fashion talk! This was like a fashion show, the lovely ladies from the personal shopping team had picked out a great selection of wedding outfits. There was something for everyone. I really liked that they picked from a selection of different brands and even mix and matched across brands! The fashion show was really informative. I liked that they shared the brand, price and colours that each item comes in. I saw a few lovely dresses that I want to check out for an upcoming wedding. They also covered outfits for Mother and Father of the bride/ groom as well as guests and flower girls! They also introduced Rainbow Club who do Complementary colour customisation, which is something i've never heard of. Rainbow Club actually hand dye accessories such as shoes so you get the perfect colour for your special day! All of the models were actually Partners so all work within John Lewis which was lovely!

I didn't even know that John Lewis did personal styling! It's free you just have to book, which you can do online. They have a few different options so whether you are just after some bits for an upcoming holiday, maybe for your honeymoon? Or whether you need to revamp your whole wardrobe!  They call you ahead of your appointment and get some information about you so that they can have some outfits ready for your arrival! They are then on hand to get more clothes, sizes and offer advice etc and there's no obligation to buy or minimum spend but they hope that you will love their styling and get loads of inspiration!!

After the fashion show I headed down to the basement floor where they had a selfie wall and then a home designs talk. The lovely home designs team talked about some lovely table setting ideas. It was really on trend and not your typical wedding table set up! It looked incredible! I loved the China and the glasses were gorgeous! The team talked about using products like hessian and sprigs of lavender and Ivy to add a little something to the table! I loved the name tags too, such an affordable idea but so effective!!

The home designs team also mentioned the John Lewis experience cards. They are like a gift card but a little more personal. You still load on the amount you want to gift but it's for a specific area, for example as a wedding gift you could give a Home Experience card, there is a 90 minute in store Home Design appointment. You will sit down with the home design team and they will help you spend your gift voucher. They also offer a Style Experience, Beauty experience and Nursery experience.

I had such a lovely time at the event and didn't realise how much John Lewis offer for weddings! From flowers, rings, and cakes to wedding fashion, gifts and much more. The website has loads of great products and ideas, you can also head down to your local store where the staff will be on hand to help! This was the first Wedding Showcase at the Solihull store and it was fab, I doubt it will be their last!

* I went along to the event to feature the event on my blog. I haven't been paid to feature the event, I was kindly gifted a goodie bag as was everyone else that booked onto the event.

EVENT: BAMBO NATURE BLOGGER EVENT AT KELMARSH HALL AND GARDENS

A few weeks ago we were invited along to a blogger event to learn all about Bambo Nature UK and their brand and products.

We were invited along to Kelmarsh Hall and Gardens in Northampton for a wonderful afternoon of activities. The day included learning all about the brand and their products and how the brand is really eco-friendly. We also got to learn some Reflexology and baby massage with Tiny Toes. We had a wonderful buffet lunch which was really tasty and they also had a photographer there throughout the day taking photos not just of the event but also of the babies and families which was lovely. You can see from my blog post that we got some absolutely gorgeous photos of Amelia.  The event was really well organised with the kids in mind so there was really good facilities and lots to keep the kids entertained.

Bambo Nature is a Danish Brand of eco-friendly disposable nappies and gentle baby skincare. The Bambo Nature range is accredited by several certification organisations that guarantee the safe use and environmental friendliness of the products. The Nordic Eco-label on the Bambo Nature range is your guarantee that the products are certified to be environment-friendly.

The brand are not just accredited by the Nordic-Eco Label but also Asthma and Allergy Denmark and Dermatology tested. This means these products are less likely to cause any irritation, eczema or allergy on babies skin. Unfortunately for us we have found that Amelia does seem to be allergic to the nappies and wipes but she has very sensitive skin and i'm actually allergic to a lot of more natural products so I wouldn't let that put you off. We have tried some of their skincare range which so far so good... no allergies. The brand have actually won loads of awards for their products which you can check out  here on their website.

At the event we got to take part in a little taster session of some Reflexology and Massage with Tiny Toes, they are a based in Northampton and offer lots of services aswell as baby reflexology. We got to learn about massage and ways in which you can use this to relieve baby and comfort them when they feel unsettled. It's also a good way to bond with baby and soothing simulation through massage is scientifically show to aid childhood development.

The brand also have a range of skincare products which includes their brand new Splish Splash Bath Oil, a Snuggle time body lotion, Love Balm Soothing Cream and Bath Buddy hair and body wash. We are so excited to try the range and I will be featuring the products in a full review once we've given them a proper try for a few weeks. The range is all suitable for sensitive skin and full of natural and organic ingredients. They are free of perfumes, dyes and parabens and certified eco-friendly, vegan and dermatologist tested. So far we've only tried the bath oil and we love this so far but we are super excited to give the other products a try. I love the packaging and the products are really affordable.

We also got to learn massage on their feet and how this can also comfort baby, we got to learn a shorter routine just for their feet which you can perform anywhere. I really liked the baby massage and reflexology and have been looking into local groups as it's something i'd love to do with Amelia. She seemed to really enjoy it and i've actually had a look online at some other reflexology and massage videos as Amelia's been a little unsettled this week as she has a cold and I really feel that this is helping her to relax and actually helping her to wind down to relieve her congestion.

Also throughout there was a lovely photographer Natalie from Imaging Eye Photography who took some amazing photos and we were lucky enough to get some really nice shots of the three of us and some lovely ones of Amelia.

We had such a lovely day, lunch was amazing. We got to learn loads about the brand, the PR girls were so lovely and everyone really loved Amelia and it was so nice to bring her along to an event and mingle with other mums. There was crafts going on for the older kids and lots of tea and biscuits for the mums, it was fab. Kelmarsh Hall and Gardens are beautiful and we will be returning as the grounds were amazing and i'd love to go back and have a good look around.

Thank you to Bambo Nature UK for the invite, we had such a lovely day!

EVENT: HOMESENSE STAFFORD OPEN NOW!!

I was recently invited to have a sneaky peek at the Brand New Homesense store opening in Stafford as was so excited to check it out. I thought i'd share my experience. I'm a huge fan of Homesense and lucky to have a really big Homesense in Shirley which isn't too far away. The new Stafford store is about an hour away from my house, it's such a lovely store and the staff were really nice. It's on Queens Retail Park in Stafford which is a really good retail park with a huge Next, Mothercare, New Look and many more really good shops to check out.

Homesense is an amazing homewear store, if you haven't heard of Homesense before then it's basically a TKMaxx for the home. They stock everything from notebooks, candles, pillows, throws, furniture and much much more.

They stock a huge range of different designers and have amazing products and brands at really affordable prices.

The new store in Stafford is huge! Its over two floors and there's just so much to look at! I love all the bright colours and furniture for the summer! They had so many different plants and flowers to add that pop of colour to any home!  The store is really spacious and tidy, really easy to look around and find lots of amazing goodies for your home.

Homesense offer really competitive prices on lots of designer pieces. I picked up a few bits as I was kindly given a gift card to spend. I picked out a Kate Spade notebook for £4.99, some faux peonies for those instagrams! I also got a copper candle which has a citrus scent which smells amazing!! And finally I got a watermelon oven mit! As you can see they stock a wide variety of products, there's something for any home.

The store is sectioned into different areas for living room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen etc to make it really easy to find what your looking for.

I had such a lovely time browsing the new store and getting to shop before the shop even opened to the public was really fun! Thanks so much to Homesense for inviting me to check out your new store.

EVENT: MAGICAL LANTERN FESTIVAL BIRMINGHAM

So we've just got back from the VIP and Press Launch of the Magical Lantern Festival in Birmingham. I wanted to feature it straight away on my blog as it starts on Friday 25th November and is on till 2nd December at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham. You can buy tickets online or on the day.

This is the first time that the Magical Lantern Festival has come to the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham so if this sounds up your street i'd recommend booking tickets to go along. It's a great evening out for the whole family, wrap up warm in your coats, hats and scarves and check out some amazing outdoor spectacular fusion of art, heritage and culture.

There's lots of lovely amazing lanterns which are family friendly and you can see how much hard work has gone into creating each piece.

I think the trail is a great size, it's not too big or small and you can go round at your own pace and spend as much time as you like taking photos or videos. It's great for kids lots of different animals, buildings and more for them to point out.

There's toilets onsite and there's a few food trucks on the way round for you to pick up a snack. At the VIP event there was Churro's and Marshmellows that you could toast!!

Tickets start at £12.50 for Adults and £8.50 for kids if you book online via
*there's offers for family tickets of groups of 10+

There isn't parking at the Botanical Gardens ( blue badge holders only) we parked on the street around the corner and walked round it wasn't a long walk so you may want to check out parking or other transport before you head along!

 * Our visit to Magical Lantern Festival was complimentary. I have not been paid for this post and the views are honest and my own.
