NATIONAL STRESS AWARENESS DAY - TIPS TO DE-STRESS

Did you know that today is National Stress Awareness Day? I though i'd share some tips and tricks on how I de-stress! I stress about alot of things and worry about things that I shouldn't really worry about so I find these methods help me to chill and relax.

1. Reading, I like to get all cosy and snug in bed and read a good book. I also have this mindfulness journal which I picked up in The Works which I sometimes read and complete a few activities. This helps to calm me and distract my mind.

2. Get a colouring book! You can pick up a colouring book from anywhere, your local supermarket or pound shop. These are really relaxing and just take your mind off reality. I use mine all the time. It's nice to just listen to some music and colour in for a little while, even if it's just 10 minutes whilst you make your breakfast.

3. Watch a film or series: I love getting into my pj's and watching a good film or series, I love Netflix because it has so much to choose from. We've been watching American Horror Story which is soo good! If you haven't watched it yet you can check out this article which breaks it all down for you , A guide to American Horror Story. I'd really recommend it! I really want to start a new series, I think we're gonna watch Black Mirror next.  We also go out to the cinema alot because we both love to watch films! If you check out My Voucher Codes they always have offers and vouchers to visit the cinema for less!

4. Yoga, i've started yoga from home recently. After being diagnosed with Anxiety I decided to start Yoga as a way of chilling out and letting of some steam. I find Yoga really relaxing, I picked up this book which I find useful to find out about different poses and then I follow youtube videos. I like to pop my yoga mat by the balcony doors so it's really light and bright.

5. Bath time! One of my favorite ways to relax and chill is by having a bath. I light some candles and get a Lush Bath bomb and relax. I'll soak in the bath for ages and sometimes I pop a face mask on and take a cup of tea in with me to unwind and think about nothing.

What do you do to relax and de-stress? If you are having trouble getting to sleep then check out my post about de-stressing before bed here

Granny Sally's Soap Kitchen Manna Loaf

Manna Loaf £3.50 *

Granny Sally's Soap Kitchen is an Edinburgh Family run soap making company! They make bath bombs, scrubs, soaps and candles. Granny Sally's Soap Kitchen use natural ingredients with either fruit or vegetable bases.

The Manna Loaf is an exfoliating soap, it smells gorgeous - like cakes and almonds. Its a really lovely sweet smelling soap. I must say when I first looked at it I was wondering how it's a soap because of its texture but when you add it to water and rub it in your hands it does begin to lather and it's lovely.

I can imagine this soap will last a very long time! It doesn't go down very quick and I really think its going to last ages and £3.50 is an absolute bargain for a handmade soap.

It's a really lovely company - I love handmade products and I love that this company is a family run company and I think everyone should go and have a look ! They sell some AMAZING looking bon bon style bath bombs which I will be buying !

Go and have a look over at www.grannysallysoapkitchen.com

REVIEW; Soap And Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub

RRP £8 From Soapandglory.com

I've been using this for over a month now, I bought this when Boots did the Star Gift of the week. Its a body scrub which you can use in the shower, I like to use it in the bath too! Its a large 300ml tub and I find a tub design alot easier to use rather than a tube because you just put your hand in a grab the amount you want to use. The smell is gorgeous, the lime is the most distinct smell which is just lovely and fresh! When you rub it into the skin you can feel it working straight away, it scrubs away the dead skin and dirt and oil. I then wash the excess away and it leaves your body feeling soft and so clean.
The smell doesn't wash away and you can smell it even when your out of the shower.
I haven't used soap and glory before but I love this product and theres some more products in my gift set that I use all the time aswell but i'll be reviewing them soon :)

The tub is a great size and I think even though I use a good handful every time I shower I think it will last ages and the Soap and Glory range is worth the money. Boots always have deals on the soap and glory so why don't you try out some of their other products too.

Bathing Belles

I was introduced to this shop by a friend at university. I was telling her about my blog and how I sometimes get sent products to review and she mentioned her mom owns a shop in Barrow in Cumbria and got me some products to play with. They sell loads of bath products like bath bombs, soaps, hair products and face masks. The website is affordable and if you live near the store you should defiantly pop in and get some of these lovely products. Its a family business and why spend your money in big companies like Lush when you have these little shops selling just as good products.
I've been using these heart bath bombs and love them. I really love bath bombs I think they just add some fun to the bath. They may look small but they turned my bath water pink and I could smell the fragrance in my bath. I've also been using the soaps, They are lovely and I would really recommend this soap sample bag its £2 and allows you to try out the different soaps, and I love to try out the soaps to see what ones I like better this is a good idea if you intend on buying some of the soaps but don't know what ones to try. I think they are good as presents or just a treat for yourself. I love how the Bathing Belles products are less in your face than the Lush products, I think some Lush products are too overpowering, whereas these are more subtle. I just love the products I was sent and I really love the look of the face masks and really want to give these ago :)

Please visit the Bathing Belles Website and look at their other products. I really hope you chose to buy your soaps and bath products from Bathing Belles and give them ago other the big bath companies.

Miss Patiserie At the Clothes Show

I'm Such a huge fan of Lush so when I spotted this really cute Bath bomb stall at the Clothes Show I just had to have a look. Gemma and I both bought a bath bomb - I haven't used my yet but I will definitely be writing a review this week. The packaging and the french style of the website, the label and the packaging is really cute. I'll defiantly be buying a few bits off their website as they have a bit more choice on their website than what they had at the clothes show but I do wish I would have bought a few of the bath bombs because they are really cute.
Check out the website for more information and keeps your eyes open for my review later in the week

Clinique long last lipstick

Clinique All Heart *
(ignore my cat scratch)

I really like Clinique and recently I posted about the loose powder that I picked up from the counter in boots. Well they sent me a voucher saying if I went in for a free consultation I could get a free Lipstick. So I went straight to boots and handed over the voucher and the lady gave me this :) I think its a very decent size (since it was free) and the colours not too shabby either. I've never used a clinique lippy before but I do like it. Its very easy to apply and has lots of moiture which is necessary at the moment with the cold weather. The colour is a nice dark red colour which is not something i'd usually go for - i'm more neutrals and pinks but this goes on very nice and the colour is not over powering. When its been on for a bit it sinks into the lips and looks very natural. I love the Clinique packaging - I really am a sucker for a bit of simplistic packaging. Its a nice handy lipstick to keep in your bag in the winter months its so easy to apply so you can do it anywhere I really like this lipstick and will have a look into buying some more pieces from the Clinique counter (especially if they keep sending me vouchers ;)) I hear their mascara is very good so I might try that next :) I have lots and lots of boots advantage points so let me know what I should buy :)

Sorry again for my recent lack of posts the works nearly all done so normal posts will resume soon hopefully. My giveaway winner will be announces either today or over the weekend. I'm going to the clothes show tomorrow which I'm so so excited about :)

Autumn Floral

dress: River Island from ASOS// Cardigan: Internacionale // watch: Casio

Wore this outfit last week and completely forgot to post these pictures. I bought this dress from River Island after seeing Lily Melrose in the Blazer - It has the same pattern but it is more tapestry-like.
I love florals but they haven't been about as much this year with the aztec patterns floating about. I decided at £16 in the sale I had to get it. Its very versatile and goes with black or brown accessories. I got a 12 because I wasn't sure what the fit would be like but its abit big but comfy. I like the length -its quite long but the other day I wore this with a slouchy jumper over it and it looked really cute and it was the ideal length. The pattern in quite vintag-y which I lovee! I wore it with a chunky cardigan as I was going out for a family meal and wanted to look nice but casual.

What do we think ?

LUSH is LUSH !

Picked up a couple of bath products in Lush the other day, I always try to get new things because I like trying them out, spacegirl is a bath ballistic that i've used a few times.

The melting snowman is a massager but I didn't really know what I was supposed to do with it but it was fun the brown bits melt and their like chocolate and the rest fizzles away.

The Party Popper is a bath ballistic and it makes your bath all pinky which is cool.

The butterball (which i forgot to photograph) is really weird its like oaty and buttery and its like slippery like when you touch butter when your cooking cakes and then you clean the mixing bowl and its oily like butter its like that. I liked the smell but didn't really like the greasyness of this product.

overall I really love LUSH bath products - I think they just add abit of fun :)

I've bought another couple of things in LUSH so look out for those later in the week x
