[AD- GIFTED]FASHION: MY FAVOURITE NECKLACES FROM DAY TO NIGHT


I go through phases with jewellery, I either wear it all the time or I don't wear it at all. At the moment I have a few pieces that I literally wear ever single day! I have a gorgeous bracelet that was handmade by a close friend of mine, which is a pretty little charm bracelet. I also have two necklaces from the new Daisy London Estee Lalonde range. They are perfect for everyday but are great for night time too! They are super simple and pretty so you can wear them with everything! 

I have the Estee Lalonde T-bar necklace which is really on trend right now. The T-bar has a really pretty detail on it which is lovely. I have this in Gold but it also comes in Silver. It also comes in a bracelet and earrings! I love this and wear it on it's own or sometimes I like to layer it with my Estee Lalonde Sunburst chain necklace, this is a short necklace and again it looks fab on it's own. I've been wearing them both layered together pretty much all day everyday! 

I recently wore them both on a night out with a pretty little black dress and also to a wedding with a smart Navy dress. They are so pretty and delicate but just add that little something to an outfit without being too much! But they are pretty and simple enough to wear everyday with any outfit! I've had loads of compliments and people asking wear my necklaces are from.

LIFESTYLE: CAFE ROUGE CROQUE MONSIEURS AND GIN BLOOMS


We recently went along to Cafe Rouge in The Mailbox Birmingham to try out their iconic Croque Monsieurs and Gin Blooms. 

The Croques are a regular on the Cafe Rouge menu but not something that you really hear much about! A Croque is a classic grilled Emmental Cheese Sandwhich on sourdough with Bechamel sauce. 

They have 5 Croques to choose from, the have the original Monsieur and Madame and the NEW Chicken Club, Hot Smoked Salmon and Portobello Mushroom. 

We were lucky enough to try 4 out of the 5 Croques and we had lots of Champagne and Gin and frites too! 

The Croques were sooo good, it was lovely to try all of the different flavours. It's just a sandwich but it's grilled and covered in cheese and creamy bechamel sauce (SO GOOD!) My favourite had to be the Chicken Club, it was really lovely tender chicken. The Portobello Mushroom one comes with Goats Cheese, Baby Spinach and a drizzle of Truffle Oil, it was really good! It's not something I would order usually for myself but I would order that again it was so tasty! 

We got to try a few different Champagnes with the food which tasted really good and really complemented the food. We also got to try their new Pink Gin Blooms which were lovely, i'm not really a big Gin drinker, it's not something I would usually order but it was really nice and refreshing and it was a nice sunny day so went down very well. 


Overall it was such a lovely event, we got to try some lovely food and met lots of lovely people.

REVIEW: FREDDIE'S FLOWERS SUBSCRIPTION


I've been subscribed to Freddie's Flowers for a few months now and I thought i'd share some of the gorgeous bunches of flowers that I have received.  

Freddie's Flowers is a subscription service, you can sign up to receive a regular delivery of flowers, you can choose the dates you would like to recieve a box. I have them set to weekly deliveries but you can change this so you get them fortnightly or monthly it's completely up to you. 

It's £22 a box which is such a good price for a bunch of flowers delivered to your door. As you can see from my photos the bunch of flowers that you see are not your usual roses or carnations. You get a beautiful bunch of unique flowers. They arrive beautifully fresh and are packaged up really well. They come in a cardboard box and the flowers are protected in brown paper and arrive in a great condition. The flowers last really well, I had one bunch for about 3 weeks but they usually last on average for about 2 weeks. 

Inside your box with your flowers you also get a piece of paper that shows you exactly how to arrange your flowers so they look amazing! I love following the instructions and find it really therapeutic. There's also loads of information of their website about different vases and how to arrange your flowers. 

I'm loving the flowers and it's just lovely having a regular delivery of flowers. I've actually given a couple of the bunches away to my family, I brought a bunch round for my nan and there's a bunch on my mom's dining table. I love knowing that I have a delivery of beautiful fresh flowers waiting for me when I get home. 

I have loved every single bunch that have arrived so far, they have all lasted so well and I think £22 is such a great price for such a gorgeous bunch of flowers.

FASHION: SUMMER FASHION PICKS

It's starting to actually feel like summer woohoo! I'm feeling very inspired and really want to go out and get some new summery additions for my wardrobe. I thought i'd share a few bits and pieces that i'm loving right now! 


First up how cute and summery is this playsuit from Quiz, it's gorgeous! I love the green and white and think you could easily dress this up or down depending on what accessories you went for. They have a really good selection of playsuits and dresses perfect for the summer.  Quiz is expanding to the US for any of my US readers. 

Next up is this jumpsuit from Boohoo, again I think you could dress this up or down. I love stripes and I would add some colour to this by wearing a brightly coloured bag and shoes. 

How gorgeous are these Rose Gold sandals from Boohoo. I love the colour and the style and think they are such a versatile piece to add to my collection. 

These Orange paper bag trousers are a little out of my comfort zone but absolutely gorgeous! I'm trying to be a little bit braver with my clothing choices. I feel like i'm a little bit stuck in a rut with my fashion. 

Straw bags are so on trend this summer so this cute lobster one from Topshop would make a lovely addition to any bag collection. 

This cute little tshirt is from River Island and I tried it on the other day and it's just lovely. I love the pearl detailing which makes it so cute and a little bit nicer than your basic white tee. 

The polka dot playsuit is from Boohoo and I'm just a little obsessed with polka dots right now and I love a good playsuit so i'd love something like this. 

I'm loving mustard right now and recently bought a similar pair of mustard shoes, I think they add a really nice pop of colour to an outfit, you can see how I styled my pair of mustard sandals in my latest outfit post.

BEAUTY: CLOUD CLOTH REVIEW



Cloud Cloth - £8 for pack of 3 *

I have been using the Cloud Cloths for a couple of weeks now and wanted to give them a mention on my blog.

I have always used the Liz Earle Muslin Cloths as I use the Hot Cloth Cleanser most of the time and i've never really had any issues with them or any need to try something new.

When I heard about Cloud Cloth they sounded dreamy but I wasn't sure that I would be that impressed with them, I mean they are just a face cloth right?

WRONG! they are amazing. One side is like a muslin cloth, it exfoliates and scrubs away dead cells, the other side is super soft and gentle. It's perfect for sensitive skin, and sensitive areas like around the eyes.

I've been using the DHC cleansing oil to melt away my make up and following up with the Kiehls Centella Skin-Calming facial cleanser. I use the soft side first to remove my eye make-up and then use the other side to remove my cleanser and this scrubs away any dead cells and exfoliates the skin.
It leaves the skin feeling beautifully clean and soft.

I'm using the Kiehls Midnight Recovery concentrate and Vichy night moisturiser  for my nighttime routine right now. My skins feeling really good right now, very hydrated and smooth.

I'm really happy with the Cloud Cloths, you can chuck them in the wash so they last really well. You get a pack of 3 for £8 which I think is very reasonable and I will be buying more once mine give up.

FASHION: CLINT'S TOP PICKS FROM BOOHOO


You may have seen Clint featured on the blog last week, we have collaborated with Boohoo this month and they have kindly sent over some bits for Clint. If you didn't see his last outfit then check it out here. CLINT WEARS BOOHOO THIS SEASON


Boohoo have a really good selection of menswear, they also have a good selection of sizes and colours. Clint was after a few basics to add to his wardrobe this season so he picked out a few t-shirts and this lovely grey hoodie.

He's teamed this dark grey hoodie with his skinny jeans and trainers so a comfy but casual everyday look. He's actually wore this hoodie a few times now and it's a really nice thick material. It's very cosy and soft so it's perfect for the colder weather we've been having.

As I mentioned above he also picked out a few new basic t-shirts. Boohoo have such a good selection of t-shirts in all different sizes, colours and styles. They are really affordable and are a really nice quality. He picked out this nice khaki colour muscle fit crew neck which I think really suits him, Khaki is one of my favourite colours for the Autumn.

He also picked out  a two pack of muscle fit t-shirts, in Black and Grey. They have other multi-packs of t-shirts so you can easily replace your old tops for some nice new ones.  As you can see they fit really well and are a really nice quality.

Check out Boohoo if you are after some really good quality menswear. Clint was really happy with all of the items he received. They all fitted really well and are all lovely quality. I'm sure he will be placing another Boohoo order very soon as he's seen a few jackets that he likes for the Winter.

REVIEW: ASK THE MIDWIFE REVIEW



I'm now 29 weeks, nearly 30 weeks pregnant and haven't had the most straight-forward of pregnancies. We found out we were expecting very early and so it feels like i've been pregnant forever! I've found my anxiety has been really bad throughout my pregnancy, you can read my post all about my anxiety here. I've found myself worrying about every little niggle, ache and pain. Since 26 weeks we've been having regular scans and check ups as bubba is measuring a little small and this has also given me reason to worry. 

I see my midwife every week, sometimes every two weeks because of my anxiety and this helps as I get to hear bubbas heartbeat every week and I know if i've got a question I can just ask the midwife at my next appointment. For more urgent queries and questions I can give her a call or I can call the hospital but sometimes you can have a question or just want some peace of mind and I don't know but sometimes I feel like a nuisance calling or texting my midwife every 5 seconds. For some ladies their midwife might not answer their phones or they can forget to reply to text messages. Maybe you don't feel that comfortable asking your midwife such a personal question or feel that you can't talk to your midwife? 

I was recently contacted by the lovely ladies at Ask the Midwife to give their service a go and let them know what I thought. Ask the Midwife is the first online health advice service, run by registered midwives.

I have used the Ask the Midwife on a few occasions over the last month or so... as I mentioned above our baby is measuring small which has caused some worry and raised a few questions. I find the chat format of the service really helpful and easy to use. It's so easy to start a chat, and there's different payment options so you can just ask a question or maybe you'd prefer to sign up for a month. I received a reply pretty much straight away and felt that the reply was very informative and friendly. I didn't feel silly and I didn't feel like I was being a nuisance. Rachel was very helpful and put my mind at ease and once she had finished helping me she asked if there was anything else, and I asked another question because I felt very comfortable talking to her and it was lovely to get some advice and answers to a few questions I had.  

I felt really comfortable talking to Rachel and I like the idea of someone always being there to answer any questions I may have. The wait for a response isn't too long and you know that you are getting good advice and knowledge from an actual qualified midwife. I found myself google-ing symptoms and questions very early on in my pregnancy and this can be scary. Some of the responses and answers I found on forums were horrible and made me jump to the worst possible conclusion. 

I would really recommend the Ask the Midwife service, especially if like me you have a lot of questions and don't really want to keep bombarding your midwife. You can feel like your being an annoying first time mum and like your probably annoying your midwife. The Ask the Midwife service lets you ask all of those questions and you know you are getting good valid advice and information. I have found myself going over to the Ask the Midwife page instead of looking on Google if I have a question. I've included some screen shots of some of the questions I asked so you can see the type of reply I got back and to give you an idea of how the service works. 

They have different subscription services so you can pay to ask just one question or you can pay to have a chat or you can even opt for a monthly subscription. The monthly subscription gives you the freedom to ask questions at any time and there's always a registered midwife on hand to answer your questions. 

Right now a new version of the Ask the Midwife App is being created to bring the best service to you but right now you can head on over to their website to ask questions using the chat feature but also read through their advice articles and check out their blog.
