LIFESTYLE: WHAT DO YOU DO WITH YOUR HOLIDAY PHOTOS?

We haven't had a holiday this year so i've been looking back through my photos of our previous holidays. I've been to lots of amazing places over the last few years, Florida, Ibiza and the Canaries. Destination2.co.uk are running a campaign all about Catching and Creating Memories While Travelling so I thought i'd share some of my favourite holiday memories and what I do with my holiday photos.

You can check out one of my recent blog posts all about my favourite holiday moments, we recently went to Ibiza and Florida and had the most amazing time.

I love taking photos on holiday, of places and people. I like to look back at photos and remember the amazing times we've had and I always seem to remember the good times better when i'm looking back through photos.

Most of my photos just end up on my laptop in folders and on memory cards, I sometimes upload them to Facebook so that my family and friends can see them( yes i'm one of those annoying friends that uploads their holiday snaps)

I also have a few photo albums and keep some of my favourite snaps in these to look back on. These are handy to show photos to family that don't really like computers or don't have Facebook.  I also like to just sit and look through them every now and again, I've always liked having actual photos printed out and it's so easy to do now as there's so many app's you can use to print photos and it's really affordable to get them printed now.

As well as my photo albums I have lots of frames dotted around my apartment these are just a few of my favourite frames but we have them in every room, even the hallway. We have had some really amazing times together over the last 4 years and I love having photos around to remind us of all the special times we've spent together.

We are about to have a baby and i'm so excited to go on our first family holiday, i'm going to take photos of absolutely everything and I will be filling up photo albums with our family snaps to keep them safe forever and ever. What do you do with your holiday photos, do they just end up on your laptop or do you get them printed out? Do you have any amazing holidays coming up? If you need some inspiration then check out lots of amazing destinations here on Destination2.co.uk

*Collaboration with Destination2.co.uk, they did not pay for this post however they did gift me a voucher to buy some new albums/ frames for my photos

CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE: PERSONALISED GIFTS

This year i've spotted alot of personalised gifts for christmas. I thought i'd put together this post to give you guys a few Christmas gift ideas.

First of all this Personal Planner*, you can completely personalise them yourself. You decide what colours are used, what extras are on each page, note sections etc. I've actually made one for my mom and used one of my graduation photos so it's really special and unique. I know she will love it!
You can have a look at the different options on the personal planner website, you have until the 14th December to order in time for christmas! Heres my review of my own Personal Planner

Next up is this photo cushion *from Photobox, they have different sizes avaliable. The smaller sizes allow you to add a cute border. I chose to create a collage and use this as my image. I'm so happy with the print quality. There is so many different ways you can personalise your cushion. If you can't find a cushion with a pug on, then make one! You can upload any photo you want. Photobox recommend you order by the 11th for Christmas Delivery!

Also available from Photobox is this ipad mini case*,  again you can edit these in any way you please. You just upload your chosen photo and they print it onto the case for you. Again I chose to upload a collage style image so I could have loads of photos. The quality is great! This would be a great gift for anyone, Dad, boyfriend, sister, mom or friend. Again order before 11th Dec 2014 to avoid disappointment. They are avaliable for Ipads and iphones.

This Frame Again frame* is another great gift idea! Suitable for everyone, they are £9.99 and are so easy to order. You just choose a photo from your Instagram or your computer and edit your frame as desired. You can edit the colour of your frame so they are great for anyone. They are also magnetic so you can stick them together which I think it such a great idea! You can order until the 18th Decemeber for standard delivery or the 22nd next day delivery;

Finally the Personalised Nutella again... At only £3.99 its a bargain! You can have any word or name put on it so they are perfect! Even if someone isn't a huge Nutella fan, its a keepsake! You can reuse the jar aswell, for your brushes, keep your pens in there etc! These are available instore at Selfridges.

REVIEW: SAMSUNG PORTABLE HARD DRIVE.

SAMSUNG 1TB USB 3.0 M3 PORTABLE HARD DRIVE*

Being a student you sometimes learn things the hard way! At uni your always on computers whether its for essays, research, maybe editing photos etc. As an art student I was always editing photos, researching artists for sketchbooks and in third year I had to write my dissertation. I had a Macbook air throughout uni which was really handy because its so thin, the only problem was the lack of storage, this is where an external hard drive comes in handy. You can use it to store work, documents, photos etc. Its portable aswell so you can plug it into other computers. I would use it to back up work I produced on the Uni computers because they can be temperamental and sometimes you can end up loosing work. It's good to back things up just in case. My Dissertation was backed up on my laptop, uni server, an external harddrive and a memory stick just incase.

Another great use for a portable hard drive is to generally back up photos and other important things off your laptop. I hate loosing photos, family photos and photos of my cats are really important to me and i've had occasions where my laptop has completely died and i've had to restore it loosing all my photos. Now I tend to back up my laptop every now and again to a hard drive so I don't loose anything.

This Samsung hard drive retails at about £45 which is really good for 1TB of storage. It's really easy to use and because it's USB 3.0 its really fast at transferring files.  The only problem with it is it comes with a short wire which is fine when i'm using it with my laptop but I don't have a DVD player in my room so sometimes I put films onto my hard drive to watch on my TV and I need a longer wire, these are easy to get hold of so i'll be ordering one soon.

Another thing to be careful with as a student is your actual laptop, phones and ipads. They are amazing and so handy to have as a student. As an art student myself I always use my laptop and ipad at uni to take photos of progress etc so insurance is another thing to look into! https://www.insurance2go.co.uk/ offer some really competitive prices

TRAVEL: WEEKEND IN WALES

Here's a few photos of our trip to Wales. Clint and myself stayed in this cute little cottage just outside Aberystwth. We went to the Promenade, in the amusements, through a castle, the butterfly house, a carboot, to the shops, for a walk through the woods and watched loads of prison break.

I've basically finished my third year at university now and just wanted to chill and have a nice weekend away together. The weather wasn't great but we got to relax so it was great.

I really want to get into more travel posts, i'm having a year out and going to hopefully do lots of work experience however i'd love to do abit of travelling aswell.

I went to london !

I went to London last wednesday so thought i'd share a few of my touristy photos - the weather was gorgeous!
