FASHION: BACK TO BLACK

JACKET: NEW LOOK // DRESS: H&M // NECKLACE: H&M // BOOTS: NEW LOOK *

I haven't done an outfit post in so so long, since moving into the new flat I just haven't had time with the rubbish weather and Christmas. I really want to concentrate on outfit posts this year and want to upload a couple every week! We are lucky to have this gorgeous brick wall in our carpark, it's outside so full of natural light so even if i'm feeling lazy theres no excuse because this lovely backdrop is right downstairs. I want to take more outfit photos tomorrow ( weather depending)
I have to say my outfits lately have been all black, maybe a spot of grey or a stripy top so sorry if my upcoming outfits are not that exciting but it's what I wear and I hope you'll enjoy my outfit posts along side the rest of the content i'm putting together.

OUTFIT POST: OVERSIZED COATS AND BLACK SKINNY JEANS

JEANS: NEW LOOK // COAT: PRIMARK* // TOP: TOPSHOP //NECKLACE: PRIMARK// SHOES: PRIMARK // BAG: FOLLI FOLLIE* // SCARF: H&M

I popped into Birmingham today for a little event for Topshop Beauty! My blog post about the event will be live tomorrow so keep your eyes peeled for that!

It was a small event as we were told about it last minute but it was great, we got to have a play with the latest beauty products from Topshop including the new 'The Face' range which is amazingg!

I put together a pretty casual outfit for today. I love my black skinny jeans, they are so comfy and look great with everything. A simple stripe top from topshop, I love this one its a batwing /oversized style. I wore this with with my new Primark coat and tartan scarf for a cosy autumn look.

I'm still not ready for boots just yet, i've wore them a few times but I still keep choosing these shoes from Primark, they are pointed and cover your toes but have a cut out section. I have to say these keep my feet very warm but not too hot. They are so comfy! I might pick up another pair, they were a bargain at £10!!

my autumn outfit of the day

Just a super quick outfit post before I go to Dans. Been feeling very autumny lately and love the look of the trees when their shedding their leaves. I've been out taking some photos this afternoon as i'm going to start doing some watercolour sketches and doodles and think tress would be a good starting point.

Sorting through my summer wardrobe

from left to right : high waisted denim shorts: new look, denim hot pants: topshop, white lace dress: primark, grey jersey dress: primark, green lace top: new look, orange skirt: new look, grey skirt h&m; blue skirt; river island, white aztec top: primark, lilac denim shorts; topshop.

I thought I would put together a post with a few tips and what I wear on holiday and in the summer.

I like to buy plain clothes, like plain colours and white and grey things. This way it's really easy to team outfits together. When you have lots of patterned clothes it can be quite difficult to match up things. Also this way if you buy a statement bag, with a really nice pattern you can wear it with most of your outfits.

Denim shorts are a must have! They go with everything and you can wear them night and day! Team them up with flip flops and a vest to go to the beach and then Sandals and a cute top for the evenings. This way you can wear a pair of shorts a few times and this can save on luggage allowance in your suitcase. (unless your like me and have to bring like 4 pairs of denim shorts.)

Basic Jerseys: You can get them from Primark h&m and new look for really cheap. I love these little jersey skirts as you can wear them day and night and they look really cute. It's best to buy a few plain white vests and then a few coloured ones for in the day. Suncream ruin's white tops so there is really no point in spending silly money on vest tops. This way you could even just leave them behind when your going home and save your self such luggage allowance for all the stuff you bought in duty free.

If your like me you have 94832847 pairs of shoes and you have to bring every single pair on holiday just in case you might need that pair. Just bring your flip flops, and a pair of brown sandals and black sandals and something comfy incase you do ay trips etc. Thats all you need and shoes are really heavy!

Now i'm going on holiday for two weeks and we all know that toiletries are silly money on holiday so make sure you bring enough, make sure you have your suncreams and shampoos etc. Don't bring your favourite bed head products or your Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser because if you bring the cheap stuff you can just chuck it away before you come home.

I know this is all kinda common sense but I hope you enjoy this and I know there are some holiday virgins out there who probably don't have a clue what they need to pack for their first holiday this summer.

My H&M sale buys!

I've recently become abit obsessed with H&M's website and their sale. I'm yet to recieve anything i've ordered which is why I haven't done any outfit posts but this is my 2nd order from the H&M website.
I did a post last week and showed you guys some bikini's that I ordered. This week i've ordered these sunnies, this really cute pastel blue skirt and this playsuit. They have some other colours in the skirt and other patterns of playsuit. I decided the blue was really nice and will look great!! on my holiday with a white tank top and a brown sandals. There was a leopard print option for the playsuit too but I've decided to buy plain clothes for my holiday as i've bought the aztec pattern bag in my last River island wish list post.

If you use the promo code '1304' you get £5 off your order, I think this is good because they have rather pricey postage fees so this covers your postage :)

h&m summer!

This is what I ordered from the h&m website the other day! they have 50 % off selected swimwear so the orange colour bikini is actually half that price!! I also used a £5 off code so i basically got the green bikini bottoms free and free delivery.

I really like h&m's swimwear range, they have so many patterns, colours and style of bikini. I've previously had h&m bikini's and they are just such good quality for the money. Primark bikini's are them same price as these and are half the quality.  I'll post a picture when they arrive :) Don't really know what h&m online delivery is like.

every girl needs some fur

(coat: forever 21, shirt; h&m leggins; river island. )

for those of you that follow me on twitter you will know i NEEDED a leopard print fur coat well... i got one and its such a funny story of how i came to own it.
i've been looking on ebay, twitter, peoples blog saless and just none of them were right or of the right price. i found one that i loved and got into the bidding war but it went past £40 and i just wasnt willing to pay that much so anyway i was having a general conversation with my little sister about the matter and she was like OH laura has a fur coat ... a leopard one that she never wears anyway i tried it on and fell in love with it and after all the searching i found THE ONE and i bought it for £25 :Dwell happy and i love it

this week i was invited to a midlands blogger meet by rebecca and lucie are organising. It will be in birmingham and they are really trying to finalise numbers before they plan much. if anyone is interested just get in touch with myself or the girls and we will add you to thelist. all the london bloggers do it so its about time we got to have a bloggers meet also if you have any ideas about what we should do ect then let us know.

dancing in the moonlight.

cardigan: new look, scarf: market, shirt: new look, skirt: h&m, leggings: river island.

i think everyone will agree that today with the horrible cold weather it makes us feel good for nothing - i hate cold i just wanted to stay in bed all day! but i couldnt so i got up(eventually) got ready and went to coventry for uni, as i was already late i didnt see the point in going to the studio so i had a little look in debenhams and a few other shops before heading to subway and then to uni for my 1'0clock lecture.

i originally didnt put skirt on this morning with this outfit but the cold weather made me reluctant to go out in just leggings but i didnt wanna wear tights so i wore leggings and skirt which i dont think looks great but i was comfy :)

i like my make up today, my skins been going really dry because of the cold but it looked okay today, been using LOOK's translucent powder which i really like :) it should come with a brush tho

i will most likely be away from the computer over the weekend therefore a quick post tonight for you to read. today's been really nice - If im honest it hasnt been a bad week. at uni i've come up with a good idea for my work - it seems to be going well and my tutors LOVE it (which anyone that does art/graphics/illustration ect) will know it a HUGE task!! spent loads of time with my boyfriend but spent NO MONEY ;D which is something we really need to do more since we've been looking at holidays and flats. we have suddenly realised that we spend SO MUCH MONEY on food! so today we sat in put Xmen 3 on and i made pancakes(FAILED) if you follow me on twitter or are a regular of my blog you will know i recently put a few items on ebay (ive raved on about it for the past 3 days) well it ended today and ive made about £45 :D which is great ^^^ Been looking at bags on ebay tho ¬_¬ i will never learn. hope everyone has a great weekend.

on another midnight run.

skirt; h&m top; topshop cardigan; clothesshowlive necklace;john lewis

just a quick post today, i really liked this outfit so i had a few minutes this morning to take some photos. i really love this top, its from topshop and its only £10 they do it in a few other colours that i might invest. i wasnt sure what skirt to wear, i have a pleated skirt that ive never worn and it looked really nice with this top but it makes me feel big around my hips so i changed it for my trusty bodycon that made me feel rather slim ;D diets going well.

working the weekend so may not get a chance to post, maybe sunday evening. have a nice weekend
