LIFESTYLE: AMELIA 9 MONTH UPDATE
16 August 2018
Amelia is going to be 9 months old in a couple of days so I thought i'd do a little 9 month update.
She's crawling now, shes into everything! She's going so well with her eating, shes loving food right now. Amelia is still teeny tiny, shes just gone into 3-6 months clothing.
She's doing so well, shes super chatty and she's got such a cheeky attitude. I've just gone back to work and she's going to her nanny's two days a week. She loves going and I think it's really good for us to have a little separation. She's gone up to the next group in Gymboree which she's loving. I love that she can just go and crawl and get into everything, it's so cute.
Amelia has been to her first birthday party, it was her friend Jack's 2nd birthday!

PREGNANCY: MY BABY SHOWER
25 September 2017
It was my baby shower yesterday so I thought i'd share a few pictures from the day. I thought it would be nice to document the day on my blog so I can look back at it but also so people who are planning a baby shower can get a few tips and ideas.
We did it on a Sunday afternoon as I felt this would be a good day for most people who work Monday to Friday, on the invite I said from 3pm onwards so there was no pressure for everyone to arrive at 3 but most people came between 3-4 which was good. We had a few people who came abit later due to work commitments but as I work in retail I was expecting this to happen.
The day was pretty casual, I just wanted people to have a good time, eat some food and have a drink and mingle. We organised a few games but there was no obligation to play them and they were just dotted around for people to have a go. We did stick the dummy on the baby which went down well!
We also did Guess what's in the Nappy and Guess the baby food, These were good because people could play if they wanted to and they could do so at their own pace.
We also had some areas for people to leave messages for us, my mom had seen an idea on pinterest where people write on nappies so you have some fun messages to read when your changing the babies bum. We also had a little station with prediction cards and some note paper for people to leave messages, I think I'm going to make a little scrapbook of my baby shower and include these in here.
We had lots of amazing buffet food and my mom made my amazing cake and she also made the cupcakes. We had sandwiches, pizza, sausage rolls, and your usual party food, snacks, sweets etc. We wasn't sure if people would be drinking alcohol or not, apparently people don't usually drink at baby showers because the mom can't drink but it didn't bother me so we bought some wine, we did Prosecco with elderflower cordial which went down well and lots of soft drinks like juice, coke and more. I wanted to make a mocktail but we didn't have time in the end.
As you can see we had lots of decorations balloons, bunting, pom poms so everywhere was very pink. Everyone was really impressed with the decorations and it looked fab. My mom also made a nappy cake which was a really lovely gift idea as well as a gorgeous decoration.
We were very spoilt and my lovely friends and family went crazy with the presents, cards, balloons and vouchers and we are all very lucky and blessed to have such amazing people in our lives and bubba is one lucky and very well loved baby already. We had lots of amazing gifts and I have no idea where everything is going to go, little bubba has lots of clothes, toys and I don't think we will ever need to buy bubble bath, baby lotion or shampoo.
I need to get some Thank You cards for people to thank them all for their generosity. I also need to thank my amazing momma for pretty much organizing everything and making the amazing cake. Clint was amazing too, he was around in the morning to help us with food and last minute decorations and ended up staying all day he took photos and made sure everyone's drinks were topped up and he made sure I was eating and drinking. The day was quite overwhelming and we had alot of people in the house and I did struggle a little with being stood up and mingle-ing but I think we managed and i'm sure everyone had a lovely day.
PREGNANCY: MY 24 WEEK PREGNANCY UPDATE
20 July 2017
Hello! I thought i'd do a 24 week update as I want to document this pregnancy so I have it all to look back on and I know it will be helpful to others who are expecting or planning on getting pregnant.
If you didn't know I was pregnant you can see my pregnancy announcement post here
I've found pregnancy so far quite difficult! My first trimester wasn't too bad, I had some sickness and nausea but it wasn't too bad. I had extreme tiredness but again this wasn't too bad and I managed to carry on as normal most of the time.
Now i'm well into my second trimester I thought i'd share how I've found it.
The tiredness hasn't gone away at all, i'm so exhausted all of the time and it's affected me quite bad. I feel mentally drained as well as physically drained. I'm still working but just part time and even that feels like too much. I've dropped down to 15 hours which is about 3 days a week and i'm hoping this will help. I've got a week off next week so i'm hoping to get some blogging done and just chill for most of the week and catch up with some friends as i've not seen much of people over the last couple of weeks.
My mental well being has taken a turn for the worse, my anxiety is back. I'm just always worried that something is wrong. I mentioned briefly in my last post that we have been to the hospital a couple of times to get petal checked out as i've had reduced movements. I have an anterior placenta which means my placenta is attached to the front wall. This can restrict my movements however as bubba has been moving a lot i've got to know her patterns and I know when she tends to move alot. She has on a couple of occasions not moved so we've had to get checked over at the hospital. I have got myself into a right state, crying and getting really worked up because of this. As I mentioned above i'm still at work and finding it very difficult. I work in retail so i'm on my feet all day and theres alot of running around involved. I find it hard to drink a lot and I don't really get a chance to rest except on my break so I haven't really wanted to go to work.
I've got a week off next week and i'm really looking forward to that and will hopefully have time to rest and get back to normal a bit. I have another midwife appointment in two weeks for a check up as I mentioned my anxiety so getting to listen to bubba again will help. We are also going to be booking another scan so we can see the baby again as our 20 week scan feels like forever ago! Clint's just got back with the moses basket which is making everything feel real!

CLARINS A/W MAKE UP 2014
20 August 2014
I've been given the amazing opportunity to try the latest A/W make up collection from Clarins. I haven't tried anything yet however I will be giving it all ago this week. I just wanted to show you guy what to expect.
The range is available this month, and the True Radiance* (RRP :£27) foundation is already available.
The Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder eyeshadow's* (RRP :£19 each) look amazing, i'm so excited to try these out. The packaging is glass and very luxurious. I've been swatching these and I can see they are going to be easy to use and very buildable.
Clarins foundations always excite me, again the glass bottle makes it so desirable. It has a pump making it very easy to apply, i've had a little play using a buffing brush which was very easy to apply and I managed to build up a very nice flawless finish. I will review this properly after i've used it a few times.
Finally i'm very excited to give the Instant Light Eye Perfecting Base* (RRP:£22) a go. It's designed to brighten and even the eyelids in an instant, it also creates a matte finish to improve eyeshadow hold through the day. It sounds like a primer, I'm currently using the Urban Decay potion primer so I'm excited to try a different one.
I hope this has got you all excited for the release of the A/W collection!

UPDATE: WHAT'S GOING ON RIGHT NOW?
16 August 2014
So I like my readers to know what's going on with me and my real life as this does tend to interfere with my blogging patterns. I tend to blog when and where I can, right now i'm working loads so i've been bringing my laptop into work and getting some extra blogging done there.
I have been working two jobs for a few weeks as Clint and I have just booked another holiday, I know we only just got back from Tenerife but I really felt like a week away. I had booked a week off for my birthday so we took this as a perfect opportunity.
I have a job in retail which is fab and I also work in a restaurant which isn't that great but it's flexible and I get payed fortnightly so it's handy that way.
I've also been doing some voluntary work getting classroom experience. I want to be an art teacher so i've helping out at some art classes for kids over the summer. It's been a fab experience but obviously its also taking up some of my spare time. I've been trying to keep up with the blog by writing product reviews as I think these are really relevant to my blog. I want to do more outfit posts but need time to take photos etc so hopefully I will get some up after my holiday.
I want to do some more lifestyle type posts like food reviews etc so hopefully the next couple of weeks won't be so hectic!
primark do dungaree's
10 March 2013
t-shirt £4 // dungarees £12 - both primark
I picked up this t-shirt and these dungaree's in primark the other day - I actually went in there to look at their midi dresses like marie's here but I just looked like a beached whale in a frumpy piece of material so I didn't buy any. I actually picked up 6 things in primark and tried them all on in the changing room ! I actually can't believe the last time I picked up enough stuff to go in the changing room.
anyway
I got this t-shirt because you have probably seen the topshop one and I thought this is very similar for a fraction of the price for something i'll wear a couple of times, I sure topshops is £16-£18 so £4 for this primark one is nothing and seriously its a decent quality for the money and I love the colour.
The dungarees were something that I kind of bought on a whim ! I like them and I know they are very easy to wear and in the summer I WILL wear them but I kept thinking but will I wear them and will I look like abit of a div - because I only wear dresses and skirts but I bought them - i know I would regret it if come may everyones wearing dungarees primark don't have them anymore and topshop's selling them for £40 so I got them and at £12 who cares !!! I spend £12 on crap all the time ! I have stuff in my wardrobe with tags on so who am I kidding hahaha
Just thought i'd show you these bits and go to primark they have some fab stuff in this spring :)
I'm at Birmingham Fashion week today so follow me on instagram at amydtm for updates and pictures :)
