EVENT: STILA SUMMER LAUNCH EVENT

Today I went along to Harvey Nichols Birmingham for the Stila Summer Launch. Their new products include 12 brand new lipglosses and 2 brand new eyeshadow palettes! The event was great and the lovely Sascha went through the new products with us and did a whole make up look using the new products and some Stila must haves!

The new Stila Beauty Boss Lip Gloss comes in 12 amazing shades from those everyday nudes, red and pinks to a more bold bright pink, purple and darker shades like Bonus Baby and In The Black.

'Stila's new lip gloss features the next generation of light-refracting, iridescent pearls to create intense shine, pure color and amplified dimension. The hyaluronic filling spheres and luminous oils add natural-looking volume and glow, without burning or stinging

The packaging is gorgeous, similar to the glitter and glow eyeshadow packaging but longer in length. The applicator is lovely and you get a really decent amount of product. The formula isn't really sticky, it's smooth on the lips and leaves them feeling hydrated.  They are £14 each which is such a good price as you get alot of product!

Stila have released two very impressive eye shadow palettes, one of which is limited edition! They are £48 each which I think is a little pricey however you get 12 really decent sized shadows! They are amazing quality and you get a great selection of colours and textures so it's well worth the money.

Happy Hour is a limited edition luxe palette of 12 shades!

All 12 shades are specially formulated with micronized, silicone-treated pigments for superior blending and ultra-rich, uniform color and dimension.'

They are full size shadows so you get a lot of product in the palette, there's a good mixture of matte, shimmer and glitter shadows so this palette can create so many looks! Happy Hour has a pastel colour pallete, theres a gorgeous rose matte and nude matte shade, a black and cream/white matte shade. Theres a gorgeous lilac glitter shade which looks fab! The deep gold shimmer on the top row is beautiful! This palette has such a fab range of colours to play with.

The After Hours palette is a little more me! There's more shades that I would wear and I think most people would feel the same. I love the burnt orange and peachy shades!! These are beautiful. There's some nude and brown matte shades that you can use along side the gold and champagne glitter and shimmers! The colour pay off of each shade is gorgeous and the glitters and shimmers are so pigmented and creamy! They are seriously beautiful palettes.

We also had a look at some 'must have' Stila products for the summer! Such as the Lingerie Souffle Skin Perfecting Primer and Skin perfecting colour. These create the perfect base for those warmer days! Heavens Hue Highlighter is such a gorgeous highlighter to add some glow to any look!

It was such a lovely event, we have kindly been gifted a couple of the new lip glosses! Excited to try them as I'm not normally a fan of a lipgloss!

BEAUTY: STILA BOHEMIAN BEAUTY

I recently went along to a blogger event at Harvey Nichols in Birmingham and got to check out all of latest products in the new Stila Spring collection. The collection is called Bohemian Beauty. The range has a boho, gypsy vibe to it and concentrates on colours and textures.

There's lots of new products in the range and lots of amazing new shades to choose from. The collection is huge.

I have been given a few bits from the new collection and thought i'd feature them on my blog. I have been using them and thought i'd share my first impressions.

I'm loving the Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Jezabel, it's a gorgeous Rose Gold Shade. I fell in love with this at the event and it was in my goody bag which was amazing. I've used it everyday this week and it's just such a lovely product. The Shimmer & Glow contains the same translucent adhesive base formula as the original Glitter & Glow but with a smaller particle pearl for high impact shimmering colour minus the Glitter. I haven't used the Glitter & Glow shadows before but have heard really good things. The Shimmer & Glow shadow is basically the same but without the glitter so it's a little more subtle for everyday. Jezebel is a gorgeous Rose Gold shade, it's a pink/ gold shade and has a beautiful shimmer finish. It's so easy to blend out or you can just sweep it across the lid for a more pigmented finish. I've been blending it out and working a darker shade into the corner.

I've also been loving the Stila smudge Kajal Eye liner in Sapphire, it's this beautiful dark navy blue shade. I have never worn a blue eyeliner before as I felt it would look dated but this shade is gorgeous. I've been wearing it all week and I think it brings out the blue in my eyes. It makes my eyes stand out more and i've been wearing it along side the Jezebel eyeshadow and it works really well. I've applied the liner to my lid and under my eye and blended it out. They also have an Intense Black, Nude and Espresso shade too.

I haven't tried the liquid lipstick just yet but the Stila Matte Liquid lipsticks are so good. They are a really creamy formula and not drying on the lips at all. Stila have released some beautiful new shades for the spring collection, I love the look of Dolce Vita. As well as the original Stay all day liquid lipstick they have released a shimmer formula and and sheer finish. They have the same staying power and same amazing feel but without the matte finish. The Sheer liquid lipstick is a matte finish but with a more translucent finish so it's more of a wash of colour and the shimmer liquid lipstick has a metallic shimmering finish.

I will be putting up a post about the Stila blogger event that I attended with more images of the whole range so be sure to check that out.

EEEK LESS THAN A WEEK TO GO!!

I'm off to Turkey in just under a week and I have to say i'm so excited to get away from the UK and the rubbish weather! I thought i'd share my holiday make up bag and what i'm taking to turkey with me.

Since I took these photos I have picked up a few extra bits but this is the main bulk of products that will be coming with me. First up my base products, i'll be bringing my favourite concealer which is Collection, lasting perfection in the shade fair. Nars Sheer Glow* for the evening. I picked up a Rimmel BB cream yesterday for the daytime. For my contour i'm bringing my Becca highlighter in Champagne Pop and the Collection contour kit which is such a handy little product. The Bronzer is a gorgeous shade and the highlight side is a really lovely shade which I use under my eye to set my concealer to brighten the eye area. I've also popped my trusty faithful Clarins Bronzer *as this is one of my favourite bronzers for whilst i'm on holiday and you can use a really big brush and give yourself a little bit of colour all over your body.

Lip Products! I haven't gone crazy with lip products, i'll be bringing my Clarins comfort lip oil *for in the day and then i've picked out a couple of liquid lipsticks, this Maybelline Vivid Matte Lip which is a lovely pinky nude and one of the Revlon Matte HD lip colours in a nude/ pink shade too. I'm also bringing this Sexy Mother Pucker Matte Lipstick* in this gorgeous red shade as i'm loving matte lips right now! I will also be bringing Mac Velvet Teddy and I might pick up a lipstick in Duty Free, what shall I go for?

A few other bits that i'm taking along include my trusty faithfull eye liner, Rimmel Exaggerate liner in black and my NYX brow pencil. I will also be bringing Glow by Topshop which is a really good multi-use product which I use as a highlight on my brow bone and cupids bow but it's a handy eye-shadow too. Another trusty faithfull is the Urban Decay Potion Primer in Sin, this is a gorgeous eye primer and you can wear it alone or apply your eyeshadow over the top for a gorgeous colour and really good staying power. I'm going to be using my Stila palette whilst i'm away as it has a really good mixtures of mattes and shimmers and has a really good selection of shades.

A few new things i'm going to try whilst i'm in Turkey include the Maybelline Colossal mascara and the new Soap and Glory Archery Volu-Boost* to give my brows more definition. I'm also going to try the new Soap and Glory WonderBronze* which is a bronzer in a stick, i've had a little play and I love it so far!

I tend to wear a little bit of bb cream in the day and fill my brows in and then do my make up on the evening, what are your must have staples for your holiday make up bag?

REVIEW: STILA EYES ARE THE WINDOW SHADOW PALETTE

STILA EYES ARE THE WINDOW PALETTE IN SOUL - £30 - CULT BEAUTY

I Spotted this palette just before we went to Florida in March and it went straight onto my shopping list and I picked it up from Sephora. I've never really tried Stila before but i'd read some reviews on this palette and as soon as I swatched it in store I had to have it. The colours are perfect, theres 12 shades and theres a mixture of shimmer and mattes. Theres just so much you can do with this palette, my favourite shade is Kitten, which I use for highlighting my brow and for brightening the inner eye. The shades are so pigmented so you only need a little bit of product, i've only just hit the pan on Kitten and i've been using this palette loads since March when I went to Florida. The shadows are really creamy and easy to apply, they are also really buildable and easy to blend. I find it so easy to create a really good smokey eye using this palette. This palette retails for £30 which I think is an absolute bargain since one single Stila eyeshadow is £12. The eyeshadows can actually be used wet or dry aswell which is amazing. The shimmer shades look amazing when they are wet and they create a great base colour for any eye look.

You can see for yourself you get an amazing selection of colours and shadows for £30, they are such high quality shadows and i'd buy this again, I think I might have to purchase the single shadow in Kitten as mines running low but the rest of the shades are still looking healthy. I love using this palette.

What I bought today #7

Heres a few bits and pieces I picked up yesterday and I thought i'd share these bargains with you! The rimmel eyeshadow, the stila tinted moisturiser and the collection 2000 poptastic palate were all from poundland ! Thats right a POUND! So quick run from your house now and buy them!

I needed liquid eyeliner so picked up this collection 2000 one which was on a 2 for £5 offer so I also grabbed this mascara. I do like collection 2000 and its so cheap, I like it when i'm saving (which I am) because I don't feel bad about buying make up.

The poptastic palatte is really nice and I saw it in boots too ;)
