EVENT: JOHN LEWIS SOLIHULL WEDDING SHOWCASE

I was kindly invited along to the John Lewis store in Solihull for their first wedding showcase event. We are not planning a wedding just yet, still waiting for someone to pop the question but I've got a lot of friends and followers who are getting married soon and I wanted to show what John Lewis have to offer. I also think it's a good way to start planning a wedding as you can get loads of ideas and inspiration. So whether your planning a wedding or just want to get some ideas i'd say head on down to your local John Lewis to find out more, or head on over to their website.

There was lots going on in store which was open to all shoppers but you could also book a place at the wedding showcase, you get a glass of bubbly and a very generous goodie bag! The showcase took place all day and things such as the fashion show and beauty demonstrations were repeated throughout the day so it didn't matter what time you arrived. There was lots going on throughout the day! As I walked into the store I could hear live music, they had the Boogaloo Babes performing, they were fab! They have a very unique sound and were just lovely! Would be perfect as a wedding band, they had alot of energy!

First up I headed to the beauty department as Chanel were doing a natural wedding make up demonstration. The Chanel consultant took us step by step though what she was doing and why and what products she was using. It looked really simple but effective and the model was actually part of the fashion show later on and looked lovely! If your interested in hearing more about Chanel skincare and make up products for your wedding then head to the counter on the first floor. They actually have one of their regional make up artists on the counter next week so contact the counter to find out more.

Whilst in the beauty department I popped over to Bobbi Brown as they were also doing beauty demonstrations on the day. They offer a Bridal Make-Up Lesson, this is £50 but fully redeemable against products. They teach you how to apply the make-up. This is perfect for someone who wants to do their own make up but learn more... Maybe your on a budget so don't want to book a MUA, this way you can learn some tips and tricks on how to apply it yourself. There's some how to's over on the Bobbi Brown website.

After the Chanel demonstration I headed over to fashion for the Wedding fashion talk! This was like a fashion show, the lovely ladies from the personal shopping team had picked out a great selection of wedding outfits. There was something for everyone. I really liked that they picked from a selection of different brands and even mix and matched across brands! The fashion show was really informative. I liked that they shared the brand, price and colours that each item comes in. I saw a few lovely dresses that I want to check out for an upcoming wedding. They also covered outfits for Mother and Father of the bride/ groom as well as guests and flower girls! They also introduced Rainbow Club who do Complementary colour customisation, which is something i've never heard of. Rainbow Club actually hand dye accessories such as shoes so you get the perfect colour for your special day! All of the models were actually Partners so all work within John Lewis which was lovely!

I didn't even know that John Lewis did personal styling! It's free you just have to book, which you can do online. They have a few different options so whether you are just after some bits for an upcoming holiday, maybe for your honeymoon? Or whether you need to revamp your whole wardrobe!  They call you ahead of your appointment and get some information about you so that they can have some outfits ready for your arrival! They are then on hand to get more clothes, sizes and offer advice etc and there's no obligation to buy or minimum spend but they hope that you will love their styling and get loads of inspiration!!

After the fashion show I headed down to the basement floor where they had a selfie wall and then a home designs talk. The lovely home designs team talked about some lovely table setting ideas. It was really on trend and not your typical wedding table set up! It looked incredible! I loved the China and the glasses were gorgeous! The team talked about using products like hessian and sprigs of lavender and Ivy to add a little something to the table! I loved the name tags too, such an affordable idea but so effective!!

The home designs team also mentioned the John Lewis experience cards. They are like a gift card but a little more personal. You still load on the amount you want to gift but it's for a specific area, for example as a wedding gift you could give a Home Experience card, there is a 90 minute in store Home Design appointment. You will sit down with the home design team and they will help you spend your gift voucher. They also offer a Style Experience, Beauty experience and Nursery experience.

I had such a lovely time at the event and didn't realise how much John Lewis offer for weddings! From flowers, rings, and cakes to wedding fashion, gifts and much more. The website has loads of great products and ideas, you can also head down to your local store where the staff will be on hand to help! This was the first Wedding Showcase at the Solihull store and it was fab, I doubt it will be their last!

* I went along to the event to feature the event on my blog. I haven't been paid to feature the event, I was kindly gifted a goodie bag as was everyone else that booked onto the event.

OUTFIT POST: THE REAL FLOWER PETAL CONFETTI CO

JUMPSUIT: FOREVER 21 // SUNGLASSES: RAYBANS C/O WATCHSHOP.COM //  SANDALS: F&F TESCO // NECKLACE C/O PERSONALIZED CART // WATCH: OLIVIA BURTON

Yesterday we went along to The Real Flower Petal Confetti Co in Wick, Pershore.  It was a beautiful sunny day and the flowers were beautifully bright and pretty. We had a lovely stroll around and took lots of photos. We got some nice ones of Amelia too which i've shared on my insta. I thought i'd take some of myself as I haven't uploaded an outfit post for ages. I love this jumpsuit, it's an oldie from Forever 21 but it's so comfy for the hot weather. I was wearing culottes and a blouse but thought I was going to pass out from the heat.

We're off to Sing and Sign today and then to St Nicholas Park in Warwick as they have a little outdoor pool for babies and young children so we thought it would be nice to take Amelia there.
We're going on holiday on Monday so really looking forward to a few days away from reality.

REVIEW: PRESTIGE FLOWERS

There's still chance to order your mom a lovely gift from Prestige Flowers this Mothers Day

Order now for delivery on Sunday!

They have a lovely range of flowers and gifts perfect for Mothers Day

I kindly received this gorgeous bouquet which is perfect for Mothers Day, it's a gorgeous big bunch of flowers. They also included this cute little bear, a cheeky box of chocolates and a vase.

The flowers are lovely and they are a great size and quality, it's super handy adding on the Vase to the order too as I didn't have a spare vase and the flowers fit inside perfectly. You can also add on lots of other additional gifts so if you haven't managed to get your mum anything for Mothers Day you can add on a bottle of wine or some sweeties.

The bunch of flowers is such a good size and there was a really good selection of different flowers. My mom loves Lillies and Roses so this bouquet is perfect! The daisy flowers are really cute too. The Lillies haven't opened up yet and the rest of the flowers are still looking great, i've had these flowers since Tuesday, I think they will last a good couple of weeks.

The flowers and gifts come in a huge Prestige Flowers box (photo below) and the flowers are wrapped together and there's one of those foamy bits with some water in to keep your flowers moist. I love this because you know that even if you are not home or you don't have time to arrange your flowers you know that they won't dry out right away.

I'm super happy with my bouquet from Prestige Flowers and they have very competitive prices, the service was really good so I would really recommend them and I will be browsing the rest of their website for any flowers I order in the future.

LIFESTYLE: BIRTHDAY GIFT IDEAS FOR HER

Today I thought i'd share some gift ideas for her! In my family we have alot of birthdays throughout August and September and most of us are women so it gets abit crazy and I have lots of gifts to buy. My birthday was on Monday so I thought it would be fun to put together a few gift ideas for her and include a few bits I actually got for my birthday aswell as some gifts that I would gift to my friends and family.

First up is flowers! I love getting flowers and love having flowers around the apartment. I always buy flowers for my mom and sometimes for my friends and family. If my mom is working I will usually order flowers to get delivered to her work, You can find some really beautiful flowers online at Flying Flowers they have a huge selection of bouquets for any occasion. They offer free standard delivery or you can upgrade to guarantee delivery. I just search for 'lilies' as they are my moms favourite and it brings up lots of amazing bouquets full of gorgeous lilies.

I really want the Naked Heat Palette and think it's such a good gift idea for any beauty lover. You get 12 really decent size shades and they are colour's that would suit most people as there's some gorgeous brown/natural shades. I already own a few of the Urban Decay palettes and they are my favourite eyeshadows. The quality is amazing and worth every penny.

You can't go wrong with a candle. Whether you opt for a cheap supermarket brand one or go for something more luxurious like the Winter candle from The White Company. I love the candles from TkMaxx and would recommend checking them out if your on a budget but want to get a gorgeous designer candle.

I have a charm bracelet from Thomas Sabo which i've had for a few years. They are such a good gift idea as you can buy so many different charms for them. The bracelet wasn't very expensive and the charms vary in price but start at around £20. Clint got me a gorgeous heart charm for my birthday and had it engraved which was so thoughtful and it was my favorite gift. My mom also got me a little pink baby-grow charm which is super cute!

Perfume is also a good gift idea, again whatever budget you have you can find something for everyone. Next do some really good fragrances and you can usually get a good deal if you go to places like Bodycare or Savers. If your after something more expensive then check out YSL Black Opium, it's my all time favourite perfume. I've had a few bottles now and it's just such a gorgeous smell.

I was so excited when I opened up my new stylPro brush cleaner. It's an electric brush cleaner that dramatically speeds up cleaning and drying your brushes. If you've not seen one before then check it out. I've used my sisters before and it's amazing, I can't wait to clean my brushes.

Finally I love getting sweets and chocolate for my birthday and I spotted this retro sweet hamper on Flying Flowers and it's such a cool idea. You might be struggling what to get someone, maybe you have a friend or family member that lives across the country and you don't know what to get them, you can have this sent straight out to them so you don't have to worry about paying extra for delivery and they get to eat lots of yummy retro sweets, they also have lots of other hampers to choose from.

Have you got any birthday's coming up? Is your family like mine and all the birthdays are bunched together or do you have birthdays all through the year? What gifts would you like to recieve for your birthday this year?
