CHRISTMAS: GIFT IDEAS FOR BABIES

It's Amelia's first Christmas and although we won't be buying her any presents ( ok we might have bought her this cute penguin dressing gown but thats it! ) She is only 3 weeks old and she got alot of new clothes and gifts when she was born so she doesn't really need anything. Clint's mom has also gone crazy and bought her loads so she really doesn't need anything else. I thought it would be nice to put together a little gift guide of some products you could buy for your baby or maybe one of your friends has recently had a baby and you need some inspiration.

First up is this cuteeee penguin dressing gown from My 1st Years, as I mentioned above we've actually bought this for Amelia because I love penguins, it's on offer right now aswell. You can have it personalised so it would make a really lovely gift, if you don't fancy the penguin they also do standard personalised dressing gown or they also have some other festive designs.

I think a personalised bauble is a lovely gift idea, this gorgeous glass bauble is from Studio Seed via Notonthehighstreet.com. It's a nice keepsake that will get to go on the Christmas Tree year after year and then when their older they might even hang it on their own tree.

I have featured this mat from Mamashack before. I've actually bought one for Amelia already and we love it. We've had so many compliments on it and they have lots of other patterns. They also sell lots of other personalised products so make sure you head on over and have a look.

I always love buying clothes for little ones, River Island have lots of gorgeous clothes to choose from. How cute is this dress, I love the print and think the design is really nice. I think i'm going to get this for Amelia for when shes a little bit bigger. This hat is also from River Island, all of Amelia's hats are still too big for her little head. I love the pink pom pom and eyelash design, it's so cute.

These Childs Farm gift sets would make a lovely gift for a new baby, they contain lots of goodies perfect for a newborn. It's a good way to try some new products. Childs Farm has been developed especially for baby's delicate skin, even sensitive and eczema prone skin.

I have bought Amelia some books, I picked up some off the works website, they have an offer where you can get 10 books for £10 so I think they would be lovely gifts for Christmas. This personalised book is from Letterfest via Notonthehighstreet.com again this is a lovely gift and would make a keepsake.

INTERIORS: NURSERY IDEAS FOR BABY GIRL

Our baby girl is due anytime now, my due date is just under 2 weeks away but I have a feeling that she's going to make an early arrival. We have started to get her nursery together but she won't actually be sleeping in there for a few months yet as they have to sleep in your room for the first 6 months. Her room so far has a cot and a few toys and her clothes but its very neutral and plain and I just want to add a few pretty girly bits to make it look pretty and girly. I'm not planning on spending loads of money on her room as we rent so won't be living here forever.

I thought i'd just do a post featuring a few room ideas and products that i've spotted that I want to get or have got already for bubba's room. I will be doing a nursery tour once i've got a few more bits and once her room is finished.

I want her room to be pretty but not over the top, I just want a few nice simple prints and patterns. I'm thinking a pink, white and grey colour scheme. I will be keeping the walls white, as I mentioned above we are renting right now so I don't fancy spending lots of money painting. I have seen little reusable wall decals online so might get something to add a little bit of colour/ pattern to the walls. I was thinking maybe some polka dots in pink or rose gold to add a little something. I am planning on putting up a couple of picture shelves so I can have a few nice prints on the walls. I've picked out a couple here, the prints will be quite simple and I will get some plain white or black frames from Ikea.

We do need to get a blind for the nursery too as we only have a little curtain up at the moment and I want to get a blackout blind so that the room is really dark during the day so it's easier for the baby to sleep. Ambition Blinds have a huge selection of blinds including a selection of blackout roller blinds and vertical blinds. Around the window area I want to hang some bunting or fairy lights too to make it pretty and girly.

I've actually got this rug from Amara ready to pop in the nursery, It's a nice grey and white rug with stars on so it's neutral and could easily be used in any room, not just a nursery. I think the grey and white will pull everything together and it's a really decent size.

I want to get some nice monochrome bedding, i'm loving this half moon pattern and have managed to find some fitted sheets for the cot in this print which i'm really excited about. I will get a few pink sheets too but I was thinking of keeping the bedding monochrome and then getting a few pretty cushions and toys to make her cot prettier. I love this cloud cushion from Sass and Belle and think its perfect for a nursery.

I want to make a DIY mobile for bubbas cot, I've been thinking about making one with clouds on or wool pom poms on. I will be sticking to the pink, grey and white theme. I really need to make a start on this as shes going to be here soon.

That's it really so I think the room is going to be pretty clean and white with little pops of pink splashed around. I want to keep things pretty simple and just add little bits of pattern here and there. I think once she starts playing with toys and reading books that there will be plenty of colour around but for now I just want it to look pretty and be somewhere she can get a good nights sleep.

GIFT GUIDE: GIFT IDEAS FOR HIM

In a couple of weeks Clint and I will be celebrating our 4 year anniversary. We always get each other a gift so i've been looking at what to get him. I find Clint quite easy to shop for as he's always grateful and happy with whatever I get him, I think this year he would love the new blues top as his one from last year hasn't washed great and the sponsor is coming off, so he could do with a new one. I thought i'd share a few gift ideas incase you have a Birthday or occasion coming up and need some gift ideas.

I know Clint has been looking for a new mens trimmer and this Panasonic one looks really good. This 3 in 1 trimmer allows you to shave, trim and style. It's cordless and easy to use. You can choose from 20 different cutting lengths so you can create the perfect style for you using the different attachments and functions.

You can't really go wrong with fragrance, although some people are very fussy when it comes to scents. I find it really easy to buy aftershave for Clint and my dad, they tend to like similar things. Clints favourite is Invictus by Paco Robanne which smells so good. A few of his other favourites include, Davidoff Cool Water and any of the David Beckham aftershaves.

Next up I saw this sock subscription on notonthehighstreet.com and I think it's such a good gift idea. Clint actually really likes getting socks for his birthday or Christmas. You can choose how long they receive the subscription for, I think its a really unique and cool way to gift socks.

Clint loves a Corona and would be very happy with a few bottles of his favourite beer for our anniversary. We will probably order a take away and i'll get him a couple of bottles of beer and have a chilled night in, that sounds like a perfect way to spend our anniversary.

I wanted to get him a cute gift and I spotted this key ring and I thought it would be cute to get something personalised. It's so easy to personalise gifts now. I was thinking of getting the date of our anniversary printed onto the keyring ( he can't forget the date then) or I thought getting our babies due date would be really cute, I could either put her name or we've been calling her petal so it's personal to us.

I really love buying gifts for people and have really enjoyed putting this gift guide together, do you struggle to buy for the men in your life? You can see my fathers day gift guide here for even more gift ideas for the men in your life.

INTERIORS: HOW TO CREATE YOUR PERFECT BATHROOM?

image: pinterest

image:pinterest

We've been making some changes to the apartment and we will be painting and giving the whole place a fresh new look. I've started already with the living room by adding some new accessories and changing the colour theme. We are going to do the bedrooms next and then the bathrooms ( we have an en-suite aswell as our main bathroom)

Our bathroom suites are white and we are going to freshen up the paintwork, keeping it all white and fresh. I want to add some new accessories to give the bathrooms a complete makeover.

I love this huge round mirror, it's from Habitat and is gorgeous, it's on trend and will make a big difference.

I'm loving these copper bathroom accessories and think they will add a really nice addition and refresh the whole room.

I really like this Blush Pink colour right now so might pick up a few towels and accessories in this colour, we have blue towels at the moment so this will make quite a big difference.

This long mirror radiator from DesignerRadiatorShowroom.co.uk comes in a Rose Gold colour which would be so cool and would match with my colour theme perfectly. You can actually head over to the DesignerRadiatorShowroom.co.uk website to enter a competition to win £250 to spend on making your dream bathroom into a reality.

Check out my Pinterest board here with lots more bathroom inspiration and ideas to create my perfect bathroom.

GIFT GUIDE: VALENTINES GIFT IDEAS

Valentines is less than two weeks away now! If you don't celebrate Valentines, whether you don't believe in the holiday or you don't have a partner and would rather ignore the fact Valentines is fast approaching you can do two things, ignore this post or have a little read you might spot some goodies that you can totally buy for youself.

I think shopping for a Valentines present can be a little tricky as it just creeps up and we're all just getting over Christmas. Me and Clint usually set a budget and give each other hints of what we might want.

I always think lingerie is a good gift for Valentines, providing you know your partners bra size. It's always good to pick out something you like rather than going for what they always tend to go for because that way it shows you've put thought into it and they might end up loving something new and different. This set from Freya is gorgeous, it's called Hero! It's a lovely pink shade which is just gorgeous for Valentines. Hero is a plunge style bra with side support, I think the coverage in the cups is really good so this would be a good everyday bra. It's chilly out there and i'm still tucked up in jumpers so who cares if my bra is pink! It's so comfy, I love Freya bras, they are so lovely. I have the brief but this style also comes with a thong and a short, I think I will be picking the thong up so i've got a couple of matching pairs. Check out the Freya website as they have lots more styles to choose from I really like the Icon style and the matching thong, I've already dropped a little hint to Clint.

If your after something a little more affordable there are some lovely lip products out there at the moment, these Burts Bee's Lip Crayons are gorgeous! They come in a selection of shades and are so creamy but have a matte finish. They are only £8.99 each and you can get them from loads of different places like boots, department stores and Marks and Spencer.

These Balmi Lip Balms are really handy too, they are only £4.99 and again you can get them from loads of different stores like boots and Superdrug.

This I Love Pink Marshmallow Bath and Shower Creme is sooo good, it smells amazing! It's a really lovely gift idea, you could pick up a selection of the I Love .. products and some of the lip products from above and make a little pamper gift set.

If you like the idea of putting together a little pamper set then you need to head to Lush because no pamper set is complete without some bath bombs and bubble bars. The Valentines collection from Lush is amazing!! I'm loving the Unicorn Horn Bubble bar and the Lover Lamp bath bomb, Lush also have a selection of Valentines Gift sets which are another fab Gift Idea!

CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE: FUN QUIRKY GIFT IDEAS

This years gift guide is jam packed with really cool gift ideas, I thought i'd split up the products into categories. This being the first , fun quirky gifts! I have alot of beauty bits to include so i'll do a separate post for those.

I wanted to include some home bits into this Christmas Gift Guide as we have just moved into our first place together and theres so many things you need to buy. A few of our friends are also in this situation so they have asked for home bits on their Christmas Lists so I thought i'd include some fun quirky gifts that would be perfect. I'm going to start with this 'your my cup of tea' print from Dot Creates I think prints are a great gift idea, these ones from Dot Creates are really affordable.

These mugs from Happy Jackson are so fun, you can get them from Red Candy, they have some really fab gift ideas. They seriously have something for everyone. They have a fab selection of home bits and pieces. I love this Happy Jackson coaster aswell! I also picked out the Umbra Copper photo frame from Red Candy, which is a lovely gift idea and so on trend right now, it is a bargain at only £10.

I also picked out these Joseph Joseph measuring cups from Red Candy as I think these will be so handy when baking, if you have any friends who love to bake these would be a great gift idea, they are really cool and fun.

Another place that has lots of fun quirky gifts is Flamingo Gifts, again they do such a great selection so there really is something for everyone, I picked out these Sass and Belle coasters which are lovely and our friends have commented on them when they have been round, Sass and Belle have some really lovely designs and i'd be tempted to pick up some more to give to my friends for Christmas.

I love this Cactus ipad case, it's abit big for my ipad because I have an ipad mini, its such a cool print and a lovely quality. Woouf, have some really fun prints aswell as the Cacti one, they have a fun Donut one which is ace.

I picked out a few more Happy Jackson goodies, Happy Jackson is one of my favourite brands. I love that alot more places seem to be stocking them making them so easy to get your hands on. I love this notebook which I know my sister will really appreciate as she loves writing down song lyrics and just random thoughts and I also picked out this bag as I find my handbag is always super heavy because I bring a packed lunch to work so now I have this handy foldaway bag. I pop this into my handbag whilst i'm out shopping too, now I can avoid those 5p bag charges.

My Sass and Belle Cat shaped Calk Board is amazing, I've popped it on the kitchen worktop and even though we don't have a cat or a window sill in our kitchen we have both thought there was a cat sitting there haha, it's handy to leave notes for each other or just reminders.

My Final gift idea is this T shirt from Art of Football, they sell really nice prints and tshirts with paintings of iconic football moments painted on the tshirt. You are able to see the emotion and energy thats been captured.  I think these are such a unique gift idea and they are so affordable, the tshirts are £22 and even the prints start a £9.99. I think they are so special and if you are shopping for someone who loves football this would make a really great gift for any football fan.

I have already posted a couple of  Christmas related blog posts such as Christmas with The Body Shop and Christmas Day with George at Asda
