REVIEW: BAD APPLE HAIR TOPSHOP BIRMINGHAM BULLRING

I recently went along to Bad Apple Hair in Birmingham for a treatment and blow dry! The Birmingham Salon is situated inside Topshop in the Bullring. It's a lovely salon, very clean and tidy and is nice and bright. I love the neon flamingo light and they had a huge TV screen and was playing some really good music. It was a really good atmosphere and I felt really comfortable and relaxed.

I went along to try out the Innoluxe V2 hair treatment, The treatment repairs and rejuvenates the hair.

'INNOluxe V2 penetrates through to the inner structure of the hair to covalently bond with the hair’s natural keratin. INNOluxe V2 creates ‘super strong’ hair bonds and also reconnects the sulphur bridges, truly turning back the clock to healthy hair.'

I arrived at the salon and was greeted by Jack and discussed what I wanted to achieve. I've recently had my hair done so I wanted a treatment to refresh my hair and make it look smooth and fresh again as it was starting to look dull. For my blow dry I wanted my hair to be curly, we decided on beachy waves which really excited me as I usually tend to have tighter curls.

We went over to the sinks and washed my hair and applied the treatments. The V2 treatment consists of two parts so after the first treatment had been on for 10 minutes he washed it off and applied the 2nd stage. It was really nice and relaxing in the salon, I had a cuppa and scrolled through instagram in peace (I didn't bring Amelia along, her daddy had her)

We then went over to style my hair, Jack applied a couple of products, one of them was the Innoluxe Elixir V2 which is a highly concentrated leave-in conditioner that reinforces the hair’s new strength and flexible proteins. With new heat-active proteins, the hair actually strengthens as it dries.

Jack dried my hair straight as I have quite frizzy hair and have a lot of fly-aways he then curled my hair using hair straighteners, he created nice loose curls. Once he had curled all of my hair he applied some more products these were all Bedhead products, he applied dry shampoo to add some texture and a little hairspray, the products all smelt sooo good! He used his fingers to brush out the curls so they looked more beachy.

I was so so happy with the finished look, i've never had beachy curls before and I was so happy with the finish. My hair was left feeling super clean and so soft. My hair actually feels really strong and healthy. I really liked the treatment and I feel like it has really helped my hair. I had a lovely time at the salon and would love to go back next time I get my hair done. I have actually been recreating the beachy curls and love it!!

* my visit to the salon was complementary, I have not been paid for this review.

REVIEW: RUSH HAIR AND BEAUTY BIRMINGHAM

Last week I went along to the Rush salon in Birmingham, I was booked in for a treatment and blow dry. It's in a good location on Corporation Street, it's only a 5-10 minute walk from the train stations and bus stops in the city center.

I arrived for my appointment and was seated, Lewis came over and introduced himself and we discussed what I was having done and how I want my hair styled. I explained that my hair is dry and damaged due to colouring my hair and heat damage. Lewis explained that I would have the Kerastase Fusio Dose which is combination of intense treatments mixed together.

I was taken though into a dark room with the sinks in to have my treatment done and my hair washed. The room was relaxing and I love having my hair washed. I had my hair washed and then the treatment was put on a left on for about 10- 15 minutes and a hot towel was wrapped around and then he rinsed my hair.

Then we went back through into the main hair dressing area and added some Kerastace products to my hair to prep it before starting with the blow dry. I wanted a natural wave/ curl to my hair. Lewis started to dry my hair and it looked so good, really nice and clean and soft.

My hair was left feeling really soft, smooth and clean. My hair has been more manageable and it looked so much cleaner and softer. I am hoping to get my hair cut and coloured in a few weeks as it's been a while since I had it done. After my visit to the Rush salon in Birmingham I would definitely go back and I've have had a patch test done so if I decide to get my colour done there then I can. They have some fab offers too which you can check out on the website.

You can book an appointment or call the store, Rush have stores all over the UK so check out their website to find your local store.

* I was invited to Rush Birmingham for a complimentary treatment and blow dry. I have not been paid for this review. My opinions are my own and honest.

REVIEW: TREVOR SORBIE DETANGLE AND STYLE COMB

Trevor Sorbie Detangle Comb* and Colour Enhancing Mask* - Avaliable from Boots

I've been trying out this detangling comb recently and thought i'd share it with you guys

I have very dry knotty hair and its very hard to manage. It goes frizzy and means washing my hair is a hassle. I really like the Trevor Sorbie range and was very excited to see if this comb made any difference to my hair.

I've been using it with my normal conditioner and using the comb to ditibute my conditioner evenly and then I leave my conditioner for about 5-10 minutes before rinsing.

Since using the comb I have notice my hair has been less knotty when I come to blowdry my hair. Normally its everywhere and very unmanagable, but it seems combing my hair when it's wet has made it easier to control.

I thought i'd share this colour enhancing conditoner with you too. I love hair treatments and conditioners, I'm obsessed with getting my hair smooth and less frizzy. This treatment is different its a colour enhancing treatment so it makes colour hair look fresh and new and keeps your colour lasting longer. This is perfect for me as I do colour my hair and don't want my colour to look faded. I use this once a week and think its well worth the money, it leaves my hair feeling clean, soft and conditioned.

REVIEW | Liz Earle Intensive Nourishing Treatment mask

Liz Earle Intensive Nourishing Treatment mask and Muslin Cloth- £14.75*

I Love love loveeeee Liz Earle Products! I love all the lovely natural ingredients in their products. I love the smell and that all of their products make your skin feel good.

This is a intensive nourishing treatment mask that adds moisture and hydrates your dry, stressed and sensitive skin.

I love that this product is suitable for all skin types and states you can use it as often as needed so you know that this product is gentle and kind to your skin even thought it's an intensive mask.

You apply this to your skin and leave for 5 - 10 minutes and then using the muslin cloth thats been dipped into hot water to remove the residue. I love the Liz Earle Muslin cloths because they are a really decent size and your skin feels cleaner because your removing all the dead skin and dirt with this cloth.

The treatment leaves your skin feeling clean awake and hydrated. I love this when my skin is feeling abit dry which my skin does quite often because I commute i'm constantly on and off trains so in and out of the hot and cold which effects my skin, making it dry and flaky.

I love this mask and would recommend it because its such a lovely product.

REVIEW: Macadamia Natural Oil

Macadamia Oil and repair masque - https://www.macadamiahair.co.uk/ *

I've been using the macadamia Healing oil treatment for some time now. I've used a couple of other brands but always seem to go back to this one. I tryed a few sprays as well but feel the oil works really well on my hair.

The Macadamia Oil smells gorgeous and its a really nice oil, it's not too think or greasy. You just pour a little bit into your hands and apply to damp hair. You can also use it on dry hair but I like to use it to stop my hair going frizzy after I wash my hair.

I think the 10ml bottle is a really nice size to try out the product and get to see if its for you because these hair oils are expensive and if you don't like it but you've only bought the 10ml size you havent wasted loads of money. I have seen the Macadamia Oil products in Tkmaxx too so have a look there too!

The macadamia oil leaves my hair smelling great and feeling really soft. I use this now as part of my hair routine when I wash it. It leaves my hair much more manageable and my hair has started looking so much more healthy and fuller.

Use this along size the Deep repair mask for a more intense treatment. I love this mask it leaves my hair feeling so soft and clean! I love masks and I like to leave them on my hair for as long as possible to get my hair feeling soft and thick and more bouncier and full.

This is an amazing hair oil and I have a couple of little 10ml bottles that I will be using up. I'm going to bring this on holiday to see how it works when i'm in the pool or in the sea and try applying it to my hair and letting it dry naturally

REVIEW: LUSH Marilyn Hair Treatment

Marilyn - £8.95 - LUSH

Marilyn is a pre- wash hair treatment for blondes. It maintains blonde hair and makes its brighter and lighter and prevents those orange / brassy tones from building up. It contains camomile and lemon which makes the hair look brighter.

I've been using Marilyn for a while. You can either use the whole tub in one go or use it regulary to stop those brassy tones appearing. I use this about once a fortnight to just keep those tones at bay.

I love products that are especially for blondes like Marilyn, it makes me feel special because I'm blonde! and you know that what your using is designed to work for your hair colour.

Marilyn is a creme- like texture and you apply it to dry hair for about 20 minutes. I would recommend if your using your whole tub on a more intensive treatment to leave on for as long as possible for maximum effect.

Then rinse and wash and style your hair as normal .

I noticed straight away that my hair was looking less brassy and alot more blonde. I think this is a really great natural way of getting those natural blonde tones to be more visible rather than bleaching.

I now use this to prevent the orange or brassy tones appearing. I think £8.95 is rather expensive but this tub will last me like 2 months so really its good.

And also you know that because its from LUSH all the ingredients are good and not going to damage of ruin your gorgeous blonde hair :)
