BEAUTY: MY EVERYDAY MAKE UP

Today I thought i'd share some of my everyday make up with you as I can't remember the last time I showed you my make up or actually featured any beauty for that matter.

Base: I'm still loving Nars Sheer Glow, this has been a firm favourite of mine for a while now (it's about to run out so recommend any drug store dupes) I've been using Collection lasting perfection concealer as usual. I've been using the Laura Mercier Shine Control setting powder for a little while now. It mattify's the skin without making it look cakey.  On days where I need a little more coverage I use Bareminerals Mineral Veil to set my make up as this gives extra coverage and sets my foundation.

To highlight i'm still loving the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop! I also use Topshop Glow for my brow bone and cupids bow.

I have been using the NYX Brow pencil and NYX Tame and Frame on my Brows and finish with Soap and Glory Archery Voluboost gel* which sets them and makes them amazing.

I have always been a faithful to Urban Decay Primer Potion and repurchase it all the time! It's the best eyeshadow primer! My eyeshadow lasts all day and looks amazing. I use it every single day!

My favourite eyeshadow palettes right now are the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics palette which I pretty much reach for everyday and the Morphe 35T Palette which is amazing, my sister got it me for my birthday and I use it all the time, it's such a great all round eyeshadow palette.

My favourite lipsticks right now have both been Mac matte shades. I'm loving Brave and Taupe. I always go for these aswell as Velvet Teddy however i've tried to use some of my others as I need to repurchase Velvet Teddy soon.

I haven't really been wearing blusher much recently and i've been trying to use up bits of old bronzer before I buy a new one. I have a old Nars palette that has different blushers and it has the laguna bronzer in too so i've been reaching for this.

I've been using these brushes by Zoeva that my sister got me for Christmas, they are so pretty! I've been some of these for the last week or so and they are amazing, i'm so happy with them.

REVIEW: THE BODY SHOP INSTABLUR EYE

THE BODY SHOP INSTABLUR EYE - RRP £10* - THE BODY SHOP

No one wants dark circles or tired looking eyes so The Body Shop have created the perfect all in one product to conceal the eye area aswell as enhancing your eyeshadow and it primes the eye lid.

This all in one product has a blurring texture that is created by adding together CFT Marula Oil and Spherical powder, together these products create a extra smoothing texture which has been developed for the sensitive skin around the eyes.

The product is a yellowish colour and the reason for this is the neutralising pigments conceal the blueness from dark circles under eyes and the redness on the lids, to enhance eyeshadow.

I'm loving this product, i've been using it for a couple of weeks. It feels lovely around the eyes, it's a lovely smooth texture which is great for around the eyes. I've found it works well at concealing my dark circles. The texture is very similar to primers i've used before, this one is very nice and combats oilyness on the lids to keep your eyeshadow looking vibrant and stop it from melting away or creasing.

At only £10 this is going to fly off the shelves, it's a great all round eye product. I think it's a great concealer and you only need a very small amount so the tube should last a while. The Body Shop Instablur Eye will be available from the 17th September

REVIEW : MAYBELLINE BABY SKIN

MAYBELLINE NEW YORK BABY SKIN - £7.99 - BOOTS

I'm a sucker for a blogger buy and bright packaging so it's no surprise that this ended up in my basket. Boots are always doing 3 for 2 so it was inevitable that I would buy this.

Its a 'pore eraser lightweight primer'

Honestly i'm not a massive fan, it doesn't do anything for my pores and it isn't a very good primer. In my opinion a primer should prepare the skin for make up application and make your make up last longer and stay longer. I feel when I wear this that my make up seems to go patchy in areas and come off easier.

As I said above it also doesn't do anything for my pores. It makes my skin feel soft and flawless but it doesn't fill my pores therefore it leaves my skin pretty much the same as if I used no primer.

I will continue trialing this but honestly it does nothing for me and at £7.99 I think it's not worth the money.

It might be different for your skin and if you have had different results i'd love to hear but i'm not impressed !

REVIEW: Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation Primer

Laura Mercier Primer RRP: £28 Space NK.

I've been using this now for about 3 weeks. Its one of those products that everyone raves on about that I just 'had' to try. I've use primer religiously now so I know it should create a nice even base for your make up to apply nicer and it should make your make up last longer. This primer does that! It creates a lovely smooth base and dries really quickly into the skin so you can apply your make up. Its a cream formula so its really easy to rub into the skin. It makes my make up last all day- It doesn't look as fresh as when I put it on but its there. I think this is a lovely product and one that I would buy again because it does what it's meant to ! However. Its £28 and my tube is feeling incredibly light I would say i've used just over half of the 50 ml tube and can't see it lasting longer than a couple more weeks so would I say this is worth the £28 price tag well ! if you work it out it averages at about £5 per week which is what I spend in subway for one days food or for a Starbucks hot chocolate is £3 so if I was to cut out a couple of hot chocolates a week then YES I could justify it - Whats a fiver a week really? I will be buying this again as I fell out of love for my Benefit Porefessional it started making my skin flake away, but after speaking to a woman at benefit I might try using it again but only every other day and see how that works because this Laura Mercier Primer does nothing for my pores and I've noticed an increase in my pores over the last month.

You can buy the Laura Mercier Primer at Space NK

REVIEW; Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer

RRP: £3.99

Following on from last nights #bbloggers chat on twitter I think this is a great drug store buy! My all time favourite skin care product would be Estee Lauder Skin Illuminator but we all know the heafty price tag of that and I just can't spend that about of money. This is a product I haven't really heard much about! I've seen the new nivea advert which mensions this but in the blog world I haven't heard much.

First of all its the usual Nivea style packaging, it comes in a cardboard box and is this shape container. It's glass which is rather nice but abit heavy if you were carrying it around. The actual product is very soft and velvety. It's white/translucent. You literally use the smallest amount because a little goes such a long long way! The thing I love most about this is because it's by Nivea it's actually like a moisturiser and a primer in one product! It's so hydrating and moistures the skin locking that in and then primes the skin ready for you to apply your make up. I could see a difference in using this. I used my Lush toner water and then applied this, I waited for this to dry into the skin before applying my foundation- I then had a 5 hour shift at work (I work at pizza hut, it was a friday night! I get very hot running about waiting tables ) and my make up looked as perfect as when I applied it when I got home. I've been using this for a couple of weeks now and its such a nice product. You use such a little amount that it doesn't even look like i've used any.

Also for £3.99 you really cannot fault it !

As I said I haven't really read many reviews on this or bloggers rave on about it so let me know what you think ?

REVIEW: MAC Prep + Prime

MAC prep + prime skin base visage rrp £19.50

I've been using prep + prime for about a month now and I absolutely love it! I love primer! I'm just one of those people who was actually wow'd the first time I used a primer ! I think it was ELF's £6 studio primer since then i've tried this, porefessional, Estee lauder skin illuminator.

I love the bottle its sleek and if you read all my mac reviews I love how simple the packaging is! I also like that its a pump- the problem with porefessional is its a tube but this kinda limits how much comes out and how much you use, i think i use like 3 pumps for my whole face!

The actual product is like a cream which I like because you can rub it into your face and kinda see where you have put the product. Its abit glittery/sparkly which is nice too- I use this everyday so its not a standing out glitter its very subtle. I use Mac studio fix powder foundation after this so I let it dry before applying my foundation.

I've found my make up lasts all day and it applies without any streaks or patchy bits! I do think £19.50 is abit overpriced but so are all MAC products in my opinion! but when you consider its £4 cheaper than benefit porefessional and this is 30ml whereas porefessional is 22ml

would you buy prep + prime or have you used it before what do you think? i'd love to hear :) Overall i'm really happy with this product, I'm always looking out for new products to try so let me know if you think you know of a better primer!
