EVENT: MAGICAL LANTERN FESTIVAL BIRMINGHAM

So we've just got back from the VIP and Press Launch of the Magical Lantern Festival in Birmingham. I wanted to feature it straight away on my blog as it starts on Friday 25th November and is on till 2nd December at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham. You can buy tickets online or on the day.

This is the first time that the Magical Lantern Festival has come to the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham so if this sounds up your street i'd recommend booking tickets to go along. It's a great evening out for the whole family, wrap up warm in your coats, hats and scarves and check out some amazing outdoor spectacular fusion of art, heritage and culture.

There's lots of lovely amazing lanterns which are family friendly and you can see how much hard work has gone into creating each piece.

I think the trail is a great size, it's not too big or small and you can go round at your own pace and spend as much time as you like taking photos or videos. It's great for kids lots of different animals, buildings and more for them to point out.

There's toilets onsite and there's a few food trucks on the way round for you to pick up a snack. At the VIP event there was Churro's and Marshmellows that you could toast!!

Tickets start at £12.50 for Adults and £8.50 for kids if you book online via
*there's offers for family tickets of groups of 10+

There isn't parking at the Botanical Gardens ( blue badge holders only) we parked on the street around the corner and walked round it wasn't a long walk so you may want to check out parking or other transport before you head along!

 * Our visit to Magical Lantern Festival was complimentary. I have not been paid for this post and the views are honest and my own.

EVENT: HOUSE OF FRASER GROTTO LAUNCH

I went along to the Launch of House of Fraser's Grotto the other night. The grotto is run by 'HelpHarryHelpOthers' Charity. It's £5 for kids and adults are free, the child gets a small present. The money goes towards the charity. I think it's a great Grotto and i'm glad its back. It's so affordable and because it's in Birmingham you can make a day of it, a spot of shopping and a visit to the German Market.

At the event we had a little look around the Grotto, at santa's bedroom and workshop and then we got to have a look at Christmas fashion and brands that House of Fraser stock. There was some really beautiful dresses and jumpers with embellishments and sequins. I loved the bags and the coats, theres some amazing brands and products. They also had brands like Nails inc and Benitobrows there, I got to try a new glitter polish from Nails Inc which was gorgeous and I was also treated to some Eyelash Extensions which I will feature in a separate blog post.

It's such a great idea and I've heard lots of people talking about the Grotto and i'm sure its going to be very successful. Heres the Help Harry Help Others Facebook page

The Launch night made the Birmingham Mail website, you can read about it here

Lush Birmingham #bblogger event

Last friday night I was invited along to Lush Birminghams first blogger event! I was really excited and the event was great! First of all we had a little ice-breaker to get to know each other a little better and we learnt abit about The warehouse cafe who supplied the food and then we got into pairs for a little cleanse, tone and moisturise session. Using Ultrabalm or 9 to 5 we cleansed our partners faces and then follower with a toner water - I used the breath of fresh air and then a moisturiser .
I was so impressed with all of the products !

Cleanse , tone and moisturise !

The food c/o The Warehouse Cafe in Birmingham. (@warehouse_cafe) They offer fresh, organic, vegetarian and vegan dishes at affordable prices. The food was amazing and the lemonade was lovely, the space girl lemonade was my favourite. I really like how the food looked aswell as tasted.

Making the Catastrophe Cosmetic fresh face mask

After watching the demonstration of how to make a fresh mask and then we got to have a little play with some of the other products like the face masks, I really liked the look of the dark angels mask.
