FASHION: TIMELESS TRENDS

Today's post is all about my favourite trends from the past and what trends i'd love to make a comeback. I've picked out some of my top timeless trends and picked out some products that you can buy right now that fit well with the trends. Chums have put together this lovely infographic below all about the trends from the last few decades.

I've picked a few of my favourite trends from the list, first up is Flares from the 80's. When I think of Flares I picture the Beegee's and Abba in their platforms. Flares are actually on trend again right now, these cute Cropped Flare Jeans look lovely paired with a nice floaty blouse.

This little tea dress is lovely and screams 50's. I love that it's polka dot, and the colour makes it look vintage. It has soft shoulders and the front is floaty and fun.

How cute are these culottes from Chums, I love culottes and they are a trend i'm so happy made a comeback! They look so cute with a little t-shirt tucked in, you can wear them with a pair of pumps or some sandals in the summer. I'm quite short and I think they suit me really well. I have so many different pairs. I have been on the look out for a nice polka dot pair like these!

I think everyone loves the Little Black Dress trend! I always wear black, it's probably the colour I wear most. I love a little black dress and think they are a must have in every wardrobe. A LBD is the perfect going out outfit and will always be on trend. This little black dress is gorgeous, I love the a-Line shape and the lace detailing looks smart but feminine.

Double Denim! I think denim is one of those materials that will never go off trend and abit of double denim never hurt anyone. I love a classic shirt like this one and a darker denim jean. I usually wear a really dark blue denim jean or even a black jean which I think works really well.

What are you favourite trends from the infographic? Do you buy classic pieces and timeless trends that will never go out of season.

OUTFIT POST: KHAKI VEST AND CULOTTES

Vest: Primark // Culottes : New Look // Sandals: Primark (old) // Sunnies: Primark // Belt: H&M // Watch: Johnny Loves Rosie* // Choker: Johnny Loves Rosie*

Thought i'd share another outfit post with you guys today. This is an outfit I wore last week just for running about running errands. I went to my parents house to take some outfit photos of my Simply Be dress, which you can check out here.  I love Khaki and I love how it's that perfect transitional shade from summer to autumn. I love culottes they go with everything but are perfect for the hot muggy weather we've been having. It's September now and Autumn is coming up so this is a great transition outfit, you could easily pop on a pair of pumps and a chunky cardigan for those colder days. I'm looking forward to Autumn but i'm not ready for summer to be over. I'm looking forward to wearing coats again though!

FASHION: SPRING TO SUMMER TRANSITION PIECES

I thought i'd share a few must have pieces for the spring into summer transition. The weather is heating up and the summer is approaching. I have a few pieces that I will be wearing right through into the summer. I have been wearing my bomber jacket lots recently, check out my latest outfit post here. It's a lovely lightweight jacket so it will be lovely for those chilly UK summer evenings.  Every girl has a pair of ballet pumps that they wear all summer, I really want to get a cute leopard print pair like these ones from New Look. I love my culottes, check out this outfit post of my favourite plain black pair, I will be wearing these all summer as they are so so easy to wear. As we live in the UK and we don't have the best summer weather it's good to keep a jumper or two in your summer wardrobe. I tend to keep my plain jumpers out so if I need to chuck a jumper over a shirt or want to wear a jumper with some jeans I have some handy, I love this pink one from Dunedin Cashmere*, it's such a lovely colour and it has elbow patches which is so cute, it would be so easy to wear on those cooler days. I thought i'd add this off the shoulder top, it's such a lovely colour, I love khaki, I think it looks great with a tan. Last summer I practically lived in my slip on plimsoles and I don't think this year will be different. They are so comfy, they are great for work because they look smart but they are still casual enough for everyday.
