PERSONALISED NECKLACE FROM PERSONALIZED CART

I recently received this gorgeous personalised necklace from Personalized Cart, i've had it personalised with Amelias date of birth in Roman Numerals but you can personalise it in loads of different ways. The chain is a good length, not too short or long. I chose the Sterling finish so it's a nice shade of silver and i've worn it in the shower and in hot weather and had no problems with the colour. The engraving is really clear and easy to read.

I think it's a lovely item and would make a really nice gift for someone. You can personalise it with a name, intials or a date like I have. You could buy it someone for an anniversary gift and have a special date engraved onto it or buy one for a new mum with the birth date of their new baby. I think it's such a special gift and I think having a gift personalised it a lovely idea and so unique.

The website looks really easy to use and they have loads of gifts for all kinds of occasions. They have everything from door mats, photo frames, jewellery, dog collars and much much more. All of which is easily personalisable.

They have a few other styles of necklaces too so if you wanted a personalised necklace then be sure to head over to the website and check them out.

BABY: BABY SHOWER/ NEW BABY GIFT IDEAS

I was talking to my sister the other day about useful gifts. Amelia is such a lucky baby and we are very lucky to have such wonderful people around us who wanted to give us and Amelia gifts. I had a baby shower so was gifted alot of products at that and then we received more gifts when she was born and then even more for Christmas.

I thought i'd share a few nice gift ideas and some useful gifts. Are you someone who usually buys a blanket or a comforter or teddy? Amelia has so many blankets and even more soft toys, it just seems a waste because there are some that she will never play with or use the same with the blankets, she just has so many and we use them alot but we tend to have our favourites that we stick to.

If you want to buy a soft cuddly toy why not opt for a personalised teddy like this bunny from My1stYears, it's abit more personal and will be a lovely keepsake.

These little Enamel Pins from Old English Company are a lovely gift idea for an expecting or new mum. They will look fab on a changing bag or mum can pop them on her favourite jacket! Head over to the Old English Company website to enter their competition to win a set of Enamel Pins including this 'The no sleep gang' one pictured above.

One of my friends bought us some weaning bits for Christmas and it was such a good gift. Weaning just kind of springs up on you and all of a sudden you need to buy bowls, spoons, cups, highchairs, bibs etc and it becomes quite over-whelming and expensive. We have these munchkin spoons and they are really good. We picked up a few bits from Boots, mostly Nuby, Munchkin and Boots own brand bits. They actually have their baby event on right now so you can save yourself some money.

The Lamaze toys are amazing, Amelia loves them. She has a couple of things and my sister has the peacock and Amelia loves that too! I'm going to buy her one on payday. They are really bright and colourful and have lots of sensory bits for baby to play with. I spotted a few of the Lamaze toys on 2 for £15 over on Argos which is a bargain as they usually retail for around £11+ each. Clint's mom actually bought Amelia a Lamaze toy for Christmas and she loves it! We didn't open it right away and it was lovely having it in her room and when I thought she was ready and would appreciate it I got it out of the box and didn't have to worry about popping to the shop or spending money on toys.

We were bought lots and lots of bubble bath, shampoo and baby lotions etc... alot of it was Johnsons and I know there's lots of controversy about Johnsons not being great for baby as it can be drying. I have really sensitive skin so there was a good chance Amelia would too, she actually has eczema so I ended up giving so so much Johnsons stuff away, we were actually told by the HV not to use it on Amelia. I was gifted some bits from Burts Bee's and Child's Farm and i'd really recommended buying something from one of these brands if you wanted to buy skincare bits as a gift.

I'm loving this Print from Old English Company, they have lots of other prints to choose from, it's another nice keepsake gift to receive. The parents can pop them up in the nursery and they will be there for a good few years. It's a nice gift and makes the nursery look more finished and personal.

I hope you liked my gift ideas. I think they would make lovely gifts for a baby shower or to celebrate the arrival of a new baby. You don't need to spend loads of money, all of these gifts are very affordable. I don't want to sound unappreciative but we got so so many useless gifts and I feel bad that people wasted money. I have already donated things that we haven't used so that less fortunate people can benefit from these things.

Lush have a huge selection of gifts, i'm actually going to do a separate blog post of a few of the Christmas Gift Sets that Lush have to offer this year. This Mandara Spa Lip Butter Trio is only £4.50 so really affordable, you can pick one up from Sainsburys I think this would be a fab stocking filler or secret santa gift.

Neals Yard Remedies have lots of amazing Christmas Gifts this year. They have lots of sets that include a range of different products and vary in price. I've included these bath salts. I love the packaging, the little blue pouches and wooden scoop are lovely and would make a really nice gift. The Lavender bath salts are perfect for someone who struggles to sleep and needs to relax and unwind before bed.

Neal and Wolf have some fab Christmas gift sets to choose from. I love the Ritual Collection as it contains the Neal and Wolf Ritual Shampoo and Conditioner which is one of my favourites. I loveee the scent it's amazing. I've used a few products from the Neal and Wolf Ritual range and have really liked the products. Neal and Wolf also have a huge range of different hair care products such as this hair oil.

This Urban Veda gift set is a great way to try some of their products, they have a huge selection of products and gift sets to choose from so there is something for everyone. Check out their Christmas gift sets here and find out all about Urban Veda natural skincare. Again the sets vary in price so theres something to suit any budget.

How cute is this packaging! Bilou is a really afforable brand. They have a range of body sprays and shower foams and have some amazing scents for example, Coco Cocktail which smells like holidays and Pina Coladas, Fizzy Berry and Cotton Candy. The Coco Cocktail body spray smells so good!! I really like the packaging. I love the quirky and fun text and colours. These would be a lovely stocking filler.

I love buying people perfume and aftershave, check out my latest blog post featuring a couple of fragrances that i've picked out from Fragrance Direct. Head over to their website to browse a huge range of fragrance, it's so easy to find that perfect fragrance.

I thought i'd include these handcreams as my hands always get really dry this time of year. I love getting decent hand creams for Christmas. The Crabtree & Evelyn hand cream is really good and they have lots of different scents and sizes.

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? What kind of gifts are you buying this year. Are there any products in my gift guide that you would gift for the beauty lover in your life?

CHRISTMAS: DIY GIFT IDEA

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
A FRAME- I like these Ribba ones from Ikea
some card
scrabble letters (i got mine from the works)
confetti or sequins and little decorations
Glue, I used super glue

1. Get a piece of white card and cut to size, you want this to fit in your frame and this will make your background. The ribba frame from Ikea has one of those card things in so I just used this.

2. Play around with your decorations and card etc and come up with a design that you like. I love the scrabble tiles and think they look really good. You can personalise your frame to say anything. Mine says Jack which is my friends baby and I've made this to hang in his nursery. You could write Mr and Mrs for a recently married couple or you can write someones pets name. You really can personalise this so many different ways. I got my white wooden J off ebay for £1!! Your local craft shop should have lots of cool decorations and inspiration.

3. Once you have decided what your going to do you need to stick it all down. Be carefull if using super glue as I did manage to stick my fingers together. I would recommend using PVA however for heavier items you may need something stronger.

4. Pop it all back into the frame and check it all looks okay!

5. Wrap it up carefully and pop a bow on the top ready to gift to your friend!!
