CHRISTMAS: DECORATING OUR TREE WITH AMARA

I love decorating the tree, it's one of my favourite things about the season. I always get so excited about decorating the tree. We make a night of it and watch Christmas films and have big mugs of hot chocolate with cream and marshmellows.

We've had our tree for a couple of years now, and i'm still happy with my colour theme, I went for a mixture of metals so there's lots of Gold, Silver, Rose Gold, Bronze and copper decorations. This year I decided to add a little bit of pink to the tree as we've had a little girl but also i've added some blush pink soft furnishings to our living room like cushions and throws so this ties everything together.

Most of our baubles were from B&M, we bought a few packs of baubles and then I picked up some unique baubles from places like John Lewis and Oliver Bonas.

This year i've kindly been sent a few gorgeous decorations from Amara.com They have a really lovely selection of Christmas Decorations to choose from and alot of them have now been discounted so you can get yourself some gorgeous luxury decorations for less.

The Angel Wings  came in a pack of two. They are a really decent size and a gorgeous gold/ silver glitter finish. They really stand out on the tree and lots of people have commented on them.

The two pink baubles are also from Amara, I love the fluffy one, it's so pretty and is really unique. The other pink one has sequins on and is also really lovely. The shade of pink is perfect and I think it really ties the whole tree together. I actually picked up the pink 'First Christmas' bauble from a little stall in our local shopping center but I think this works well with the pink baubles from Amara.

The personalised baubles are from Selfridges, I picked them up a couple of years ago, i'm not sure if they still do them but I've just ordered Amelia a personalised one from Notonthehighstreet.com and i've seen that Next have started a personalised range.

Make sure you head on over to Amara.com as I said they have discounted all of their decorations so you can get yourself some gorgeous pieces for your tree for less. Head on over and let me know what your favourite decoration is, they have a really cool pineapple decoration that I might have to order.

FASHION: WINTER WARDROBE WISHLIST

SKIRT: NEW LOOK // BOOTS: NEW LOOK// BAG: VIVIENNE WESTWOOD // EARRINGS: SWAROVSKI // CONVERSE : OFFICE // TSHIRT: TOPSHOP

I haven't done a wish list for a little while so thought i'd do one today. I'm saving right now for Christmas so i've been doing lots of window shopping and keep adding to my wishlists. I've put together a few wintery picks

There's abit of a black and rose gold theme going on. I have been living in Black clothes recently. Do you find that once summers over you reach for black clothing. First up I really want some Rose Gold Converse, I keep seeing these and really want a pair because they are so pretty. Garment Quarter have some gorgeous Vivienne Westwood Bags, I have a couple of designer bags and would love to add this Vivienne Westwood one to my collection. It's the perfect size for those everyday essentials and would be perfect for any Christmas parties you have coming up. I know i've featured these Swarovski before but they are so pretty, you get two pairs and they are rose gold. I want them so bad! I really love this embroidered skirt, I've seen one in a few Primark Hauls on youtube but haven't seen it in my local stores so I might pick up this one from New Look instead. One of the girls at work was wearing this cute tshirt from Topshop, it's only £14 and they have lots of colours, it's such a pretty essential. Finally these amazing leopard print boots from New Look I tried them before and wasn't sure about them but they have a wide fit version now so I really want them! I love leopard print right now. LIFESTYLE : HOME INTERIOR TRENDS OF 2016

Since getting my own place I have become increasingly interested in interiors and what the current interior trends are. We rent so I can't paint walls or do any drastic renovations so I use accessories to add those trends into my home. I'm delighted that Metallics are here to stay but gutted that white is out and colour is in!

Two of the major influences in the interior world are Dulux and Pantone and by using their colour trends you can get an idea of whats to come in 2016.

The Dulux colour forecast of the year says that white is out in 2016 and colour is in. They have gone with Cherished Gold which has evolved from last years Copper Blush shade. This adds an element of luxury and it means Metallics are here to stay which makes me very happy as I bought some lovely copper/ brass baskets for my house.

The Pantone Colour of the Year is actually two colours which blend together Rose Quartz and Serenity. As you can see the two shades effortlessly work together and create a really soft tone for any home.

Colour is key this year but pattern is still going strong. Patterns inspired from around the world. Moroccan furniture is a great way to get those patterns into your home as well as using throws, rugs and other materials to break up the colour blocks. The Marrakech range at Baytree Interiors will bring your home into 2016 with dark colours and striking patterns.

I think there seems to be alot going on with clashing colours and patterns and also there seems to be a mixture of old and new, but it works so well. I love the idea of Moroccan patterns and colours, I think these will work so well with the Metallics, and will add that sense of luxury that Dulux mentioned in their colour forecast.
