BEAUTY: SUMMER FAVOURITES

BIODERMA* // ANASTASIA DIPBROW POMADE // CLARINS UV PLUS* // URBAN DECAY POTION PRIMER IN SIN //  MAC LIPSTICK IN VELVET TEDDY AND BRAVE //  NARS SHEER GLOW *// LEE STAFFORD WONDERBALL WAVER* // JOHN FRIEDA BEACH BLONDE SALT SPRAY

Here's a few products i've been using alot recently. I think Bioderma is such a handy product to have, with the hot weather weve been having it's so lovely to take your make up off when you get home from work! Bioderma makes this so easy to do and leaves your skin feeling clean. I love my brows!  I don't know how I ever survived without Dipbrow! Clarins UV Plus has become part of my everyday routine, it smells so good like suncream. Its a light formula suncream for the face, it contains spf50 so it's perfect for everyday. I love urban decay's potion primer, it makes your eyeshadow look so good and last longer. It's great for the summer when we need help keeping our make up from sliding off our face. Mac lipsticks are my favourite anyway but recently i've been wearing Velvet Teddy and Brave, they are both really nice nude shades perfect for summer.  Nars Sheer Glow, is my absolute favourite foundation, it's great for the summer because it feels so lightweight and it has amazing coverage and staying power. I'm seriously loving beach waves right now so i've been using a combination of my Lee Stafford Wonderball Waver and John Frieda Salt spray to get a really nice beach look!

FOOD REVIEW: THE BOTANIST BIRMINGHAM

I have wanted to visit The Botanist in Birmingham for AGES! We finally popped by today for lunch. The Botanist is in the City Centre of Birmingham on Temple Street, Just around the corner from the Bullring and New Street Station. The location is really great and it's so easy to get to!

We got there nice and early for Lunch so it was nice and quiet, we got seated in a cute little table in the restaurant area. The furniture is really quirky and cute, the place has a vintagey feel about it!

We ordered our drinks right away, I had a Grape, Raspberry and Elderflower cooler which was amazing!! It came in a cool jam jar glass, it was so refreshing. I would love to try some of their cocktails especially one of their watering can cocktails!

For lunch I ordered the Chicken Hanging Kebabs and Clint ordered the Chicken and Chorizo Pie. I have to say my Hanging Kebab was impressive, some ladies from another table had a spot of 'food envy' and kept looking over haha! The Kebab consisted of Chicken, Peppers and Mushroom and was served with a Garlic, honey and sweet chilli sauce which was amazing and served with fries. I ate every last bit, it was so good! The chicken was great quality and perfectly cooked. I really enjoyed my food! Clint really enjoyed his Pie which he chose to have served with mash, it also came with mushy peas. It looked really good, the pastry looked amazing. I could smell his mash across the table, and it smelled so good! He also cleared his plate!

We were too stuffed for pudding but there was alot of choice on the menu. I think the price was really resonable, It was just over £30 for two drinks and two mains. The food was amazing and the service was perfect. Our server was so attentive and professional, we had a great experience at The Botanist and will be returning! I think next time I'm going to try the Steak, Cheese and Onion Sandwhich or the Deli Board and I really want to try the Strawberry and Cucumber Breeze cocktail

I've loved having a couple of days off with Clint, we have finished orange is the new black and ate so much junk food.  We went to Birmingham today to have a nosey in the shops and so I could buy the culotte jumpsuit from forever 21 that I should have just bought last week even though I had no money. We went to The Botanist for lunch, it was so good! I took some photos so I'll be writing a review this week. I didn't really know what to wear today because this morning the weather was looking decent but then it went cloudy so I popped jeans on. I love this khaki knitted top, its just so easy to wear! I got these cute sandals from Primark the other day for a fiver!!

It's really funny how fashion goes around on itself, I remember looking at photos of my mom wearing skinny jeans and plimsoles and thinking how cool she looked. New look have put together this really interesting feature on their website which picks out some of the biggest comebacks from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's and links you to products available to buy on their website. I've picked out some of my fashion faves from the last few decades and i've picked some of my top picks from the New Look website.

You can check out the feature on the New Look Website here

#WE ARE BEAUTIFUL WITH BOOHOO

dress: Boohoo* // Bikini: Freya // Sandals: Zara

It's summer so that means holidays and summer fashion trends! The bikinis are out and so are the hotpants! I've started to love my body again and i've become so much more confident! I recently started eating more healthily and just making sensible decisions and I've watched the pounds drop off! I'm not being really strict but i'm just more aware of what I eat and drink. I've lost a stone and a half since January and i'm so proud of myself. I picked up a dress in a Medium the other day and it was too big I bought the small and I have dresses in a size 10 again. I know i'm not some stick thin model but im happy being me. Theres always going to be changes i'd like to make, but for now im feeling so positive about myself. We are going to Ibiza in September and i'm really looking forward to wearing Bikinis and little dresses and feeling confident. I had so much fun taking these photos of this gorgeous Boohoo beach dress, it's been really sunny and i've been in my garden this afternoon sunbathing. I added some salt spray to my hair to give it that beach wave effect and applied minimal make up. We had a nice little picnic and had an ice cream whilst just chilling in the sun.

HOLIDAY SHOP : WISHLIST

DRESS: DOROTHY PERKINS // KAFTAN: VELVET AT TRILOGY //  WEDGES: NEW LOOK // SUNGLASSES: MICHAEL KORS // BAG: ASOS // NECKLACE: NEW LOOK .

The sun has finally been out this week! YAY! So finally the playsuits and maxis are out! I've been picking up a few bits and pieces for my holiday to Ibiza , I'm not going away until september but I find alot of the highstreet stores have their sales on now and you can get some really great summer pieces.
I love this maxi from Dorothy Perkins, I have a really similar one myself. I love the burnt orange shade its such a perfect summer colour! I think kaftans and kimonos are always great for the summer as they are an extra layer but so lightweight. I think this plain black kaftan from Velvet at Trilogy would be perfect for those chilly nights in Ibiza! Wedges are always so popular in the summer, I find they are more comfy than heels so I really need to get a pair for my holiday. These white ones would be so versatile and would go with everything. I own about 243234234 pairs of sunglasses, I always opt for cheap sunglasses off the high street because i'd be gutted if I spent loads of a pair and then I lost them or I sat on them. I love tortoise style shades and these cat eye style ones from Michael Kors are gorgeous. Finally a handy little tan bag for my essentials whilst i'm in Ibiza, I want a bag thats small and cross over so I can keep my bits safe but big enough to fit my purse and phone inside. This one from Asos is perfect, I love the colour it would go with so many things.
