OUTFIT POST: NEW LOOK SUMMER DRESS

JACKET: TOPSHOP // DRESS: NEW LOOK // NECKLACE: NEW LOOK // SANDALS: PRIMARK

I'm not ready for summer to leave yet, I haven't wore boots for ages and ages and they just feel weird. I went shopping today to get an outfit for a birthday party. I also bought a very summery dress. I bought this dress the other day in the new look sale, i'd had my eye on it for quite a while but didn't buy it however as soon as it dropped down into the sale I had to have it.

LIFESTYLE: BIRTHDAY IDEAS I

My 22nd Birthday is fast approaching and i'm actually so lucky that I will be spending my Birthday in Gran Canaria. I had been looking at going away for the weekend to London or Paris. Whilst looking around online I started looking at experience days and found a few different things that would be great gift ideas. I understand that birthday shopping for women is difficult so I thought i'd pop a few ideas down, like a little gift guide.

As I said above i'd been thinking about a cheap trip to Paris and I found this great deal for a Paris day trip which would be ideal if someone (like me) just wants to have a look in the shops to take advantage of those French brands or you could stay a few nights in a really post hotel like this one Hotel De Sers

Another great gift idea is an afternoon tea, i've never had an afternoon tea so I think this is amazing! I love tea and cakes so this would be the ideal gift if you were shopping for me but it's also great for an older lady or maybe if you know your going to London for a spot of shopping you could book yourself an afternoon tea and have a little rest with a scone. I think this Burlesque Afternoon tea sounds amazing or my friend Lauren went a Mad Hatters Tea Party like this one here in London and it sounded so unique and special.

Another thing i've thought about doing is going Glamping. You get to stay in these little huts so it's like camping but not as extreme as staying in a tent. Theres some cheaper options like this stay in Devon which starts at £49 and then theres more expensive options.

All of these amazing experience days can be found on Into The Blue and they have many more to choose from. They also offer classes, driving experiences, and many more. You will find something for everyone. The website is very easy to use and it clearly states whats included in the different experiences. There's also a very easy to use drop down box which gives you different options regarding price/ how many nights etc.  The prices are very reasonable and similar to other experience sites that I've used in the past.

LIFESTYLE: WHAT ARE THE THINGS WORTH INVESTING IN?

Freya Deco Bra £34.00* and Thong £10.50* - Freya

I have to say something I spend that extra penny on is Lingerie. I am a 32GG meaning I can't just walk into any old store and pick up a bra, luckily for me I work in a Lingerie shop that does stock 32GG so I never have to worry about looking for places to shop. This is my latest set, it's the Freya Deco in this amazing leopard print pattern with gorgeous neon orange detailing. The bra alone retails at £34.00 which is about 8 times the price of a bra from Primark, however you are getting a better quality of bra and I am getting a bra that actually fits me. A bra should last from 6 Months to a year depending on how you look after them so for me this is a long term investment. This is my first Freya Deco however they come in so many different colours and styles, I will be buying more!

Legal and General have created the Things worth investing in campaign to make people think about how much we spend on products and whether its better to spend abit more on a product if it's a good investment. LIFESTYLE: DIY HOW TO MAKE A CANDLE USING OLD CANDLES.

TO MAKE YOUR OWN DIY CANDLE YOU WILL NEED:
- A CONTAINER (POT, GLASS ETC)
- OLD CANDLES (I'M JUST USING THESE TEALIGHTS)
-WICKS - YOU CAN GET THESE OFF EBAY
-MICROWAVE SAFE CONTAINER.( use a container that you can throw away)

 1. BREAK UP YOUR CANDLES OR USE A SPOON TO SCRAPE ANY LEFT OVERS FROM OTHER CONTAINERS.
2. ON A 60 POWER SETTING IN A MIRCROWAVE MELT THE WAX. DO THIS IN 1 MINUTE BURSTS TO KEEP AN EYE ON THE WAX.
3.CONTINUE UNTIL THE WAX HAS MELTED INTO A LIQUID
 4. PLACE THE WICK IN THE CONTAINER AND POUR IN THE WAX, I FOUND LEAVING THE WAX TO COOL WORKED BEST AS THE HOT WAX KEPT MELTING MY WICKS.

 5. I'VE USED THE BAMBOO TO HOLD THE WICK IN PLACE UNTIL THE WAX HAS COOLED ENOUGH.
6. WHEN THE WAX HAS COOLED ENOUGH THAT YOU CAN MOVE THE CANDLE POP IT IN THE FREEZER TO FINISH COOLING.
7. THERE YOU GO A BRAND NEW CANDLE :)

LIFESTYLE: CURRYS STUDENT COOKBOOK - QUESADILLAS

HERE IS A REALLY REALLY EASY RECIPE FOR MAKING QUESADILLAS.
THEY ARE MY FAVOURITE AND THESE ARE SO EASY AND QUICK TO MAKE.
 YOU WILL NEED:
-CHICKEN ( OR OTHER FILLING)
-ONION (SLICED)
-PEPPERS (SLICED)
-CHEESE ( I FIND RED LEICESTER THE BEST)  (GRATED)
-TORTILLAS

 1. PUT A LITTLE OIL INTO YOUR PAN AND GIVE IT A FEW MINUTES TO HEAT UP. THIS IS ONLY TO STOP THE TORTILLA STICKING SO YOU ONLY NEED A TINY AMOUNT.
2. POP YOUR TORTILLA IN THE PAN AND START ADDING YOUR TOPPINGS, YOU MAY NOT NEED AS MUCH AS I HAVE USED BUT ITS UP TO YOU! TRY NOT TO GET CHEESE ON THE PAN AS THIS WILL BE MESSY.

3.ONCE YOUR TOPPINGS ARE INSIDE FOLD THE TORTILLA IN HALF LIKE SO... LEAVE FOR A FEW MINUTES UNTIL THE BOTTOM IS BROWN/GOLDEN LIKE THE NEXT IMAGE.

4. TURN YOUR TORTILLA OVER AND AGAIN MAKE SURE ITS GOLDEN BROWN ON BOTH SIDES. WHEN IT IS THEN ITS DONE! THEN CUT IN HALF AND YOU CAN EITHER EAT AS A SNACK OR MAYBE HAVE SOME SALAD OR FRIES TO GO WITH IT ( I PREFER CURLY FRIES AS THEY ARE FUN )

AS I SAID THIS IS SUCH AN EASY QUICK RECIPE, I'VE USED PRECOOKED CHICKEN TO MAKE IT QUICKER AND EASIER BUT YOU CAN USE ANYTHING FROM SANDWHICH MEAT TO FROZEN CHICKEN WITH BREADCRUMBS, ITS UP TO YOU!

CURRYS WILL BE RELEASING A STUDENT COOKBOOK ON TECHTALK IN SEPTEMBER WHEN EVERYONE GOES BACK OR STARTS UNIVERSITY, THE IDEA IS THAT THE COOKBOOK WILL BE FULL OF QUICK AND EASY RECIPES IDEAL FOR STUDENTS

REVIEW: RITUALS HIMALAYA WISDOM SCRUB SALT

RITUALS HIMALAYA WISDOM SCRUB SALT- £16*- RITUALS

Rituals is one of my favourite brands, i'm always very happy with their product. I am yet to try a product I don't like. The brand has produced some very high quality products. I have tried many products from moisturisers, body scrubs and shower gels and all have been great.

I've been using this salt scrub in the shower quite alot recently. It smells amazing! Very fresh and clean. I have used a few different salt scrubs before but this has been my favourite. I find it dissolves very easily and feels like its actually cleaning my skin.

The salt scrub leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh and its very easy to use. I have been using this for a few weeks now and my pot is still very full, you don't need to use loads of this product.

I find using my hands easy to apply the product and then I use a scrunchie to lather.

I'm gutted as my local Rituals store has closed down however Rituals is now stocked across most department stores.

CLARINS A/W MAKE UP 2014

I've been given the amazing opportunity to try the latest A/W make up collection from Clarins. I haven't tried anything yet however I will be giving it all ago this week. I just wanted to show you guy what to expect.

The range is available this month, and the True Radiance* (RRP :£27)  foundation is already available.
The Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder eyeshadow's* (RRP :£19 each) look amazing, i'm so excited to try these out. The packaging is glass and very luxurious. I've been swatching these and I can see they are going to be easy to use and very buildable.

Clarins foundations always excite me, again the glass bottle makes it so desirable. It has a pump making it very easy to apply, i've had a little play using a buffing brush which was very easy to apply and I managed to build up a very nice flawless finish. I will review this properly after i've used it a few times.

Finally i'm very excited to give the Instant Light Eye Perfecting Base* (RRP:£22) a go. It's designed to brighten and even the eyelids in an instant, it also creates a matte finish to improve eyeshadow hold through the day. It sounds like a primer, I'm currently using the Urban Decay potion primer so I'm excited to try a different one.

I hope this has got you all excited for the release of the A/W collection!

The Ideal Celebrity Beach Body

I've recently came across this really fun post by My Voucher Codes and I thought id would be great to share on the blog. I'm going on holiday again in September and I must say that 'the beach body' is something I worry about. I don't consider myself to have a beach body however i'm not afraid to get it out on holiday as I do love a tan. I have enjoyed looking at what celebrities bodies people want and would consider an ideal beach body. I have to agree with Kelly Brook for boobs as her boobs do look great and I have alot of Kelly Brook Lingerie. I love Cheryl's smile and Keira Knightly's Brows/ eyes! For the guy I think David Beckham and Tom Hardy are very good choices, however i'm not really feeling the rest, i'd like to see some Robert Pattinson or Mark Walhberg in there! What celebrities would you pick to create that perfect beach body?

Online voucher code website polled UK men and women on what parts would make up their ideal beach body, if they could choose from any British celebrity. It’s probably no surprise that David Beckham and the Duchess of Cambridge featured along with popular sports stars and reality TV stars.
Interested to see what consumers would like from their ideal beach body, an online voucher code website polled users to find out which celeb body parts made up their ideal beach body, with some surprising results leading to hot bodies rather than Frankenstein’s monster types.
For the summer, www.myvouchercodes.co.uk polled an equal mix of men and women to find out what they would like, if we could have any celeb beach body. Choosing from top British celebs, respondents picked their favourite body parts to make up the ultimate celeb beach body.
For men, sport stars and movie stars were the popular choices and we presume the young boy band member was thrown in there to get the younger ladies. The ladies opted for some Royal blood and one of Britain’s ‘Sweethearts’ along with some sporting prowess, model good looks and reality TV beauty.

So what ideal beach body would most men like to have and which do women long after? The results are below:
Male
Hair: Harry Styles – 37%
Face: David Beckham – 42%
Beard: Tom Hardy – 27%
Torso: Scott Timlin (Geordie Shore) – 31%
Arms: Jack Wilshere – 38%
Legs:  Frank Lampard – 35%

Female
Face Shape: Keep as Myleene Klass – 27%
Eyes & Brows: Keira Knightley – 29%
Smile & Dimples: Cheryl Fernandez-Versini – 31%
Hair: Holly Willoughby – 45%
Stomach: Towie’s Lucy Mecklenburgh – 36%
Boobs: Kelly Brook – 39%
Legs: Kate Middleton – 41%
Arms: Jessica Ennis – 36%

Mark Pearson from My Voucher Codes said: “It’s interesting to see what each sex would choose for their ideal beach body. For many people, summer can be dreaded when it comes to going to the beach and getting in a bikini/swimming costume or shorts. If only we could sculpt our body’s after our favourite celebrities.
I’m sure we would see different results if it was chosen for the opposite sex. However it seems the pecks and big boobs are favoured by both sexes and men and women seem to put equal importance of long luscious hair!”

UPDATE: WHAT'S GOING ON RIGHT NOW?

So I like my readers to know what's going on with me and my real life as this does tend to interfere with my blogging patterns. I tend to blog when and where I can, right now i'm working loads so i've been bringing my laptop into work and getting some extra blogging done there.

I have been working two jobs for a few weeks as Clint and I have just booked another holiday, I know we only just got back from Tenerife but I really felt like a week away. I had booked a week off for my birthday so we took this as a perfect opportunity.

I have a job in retail which is fab and I also work in a restaurant which isn't that great but it's flexible and I get payed fortnightly so it's handy that way.

I've also been doing some voluntary work getting classroom experience. I want to be an art teacher so i've helping out at some art classes for kids over the summer. It's been a fab experience but obviously its also taking up some of my spare time. I've been trying to keep up with the blog by writing product reviews as I think these are really relevant to my blog. I want to do more outfit posts but need time to take photos etc so hopefully I will get some up after my holiday.

I want to do some more lifestyle type posts like food reviews etc so hopefully the next couple of weeks won't be so hectic!

LIFESTYLE: BREAST SURGERY

Some of you may know that I now work in retail. My job title is a sales consultant however the store I work in sells lingerie for ladies with a bigger bust. My job has opened my eyes to breast surgery and why it's good and bad.

In the media recently i've seen stories about women getting breast surgery on the NHS and one case in particular a women has created quite a stir about this. I think it's great that some women who want to have surgery due to having cancer or other operations can choose to have surgery and the NHS will pay however some women really don't deserve it.

I've heard a few horror stories about patients of breast enhancing surgery that has honestly put me off ever wanting any kind of cosmetic surgery. Last year in the UK over 11,000 women had breast surgery of some kind so these stories don't put everyone off. I have heard of some ladies having nipples put back in the wrong places and problems with silicone. These women have to then deal with these mistakes unless they then decide to have more surgery. I spoke to a lady to had a reduction and they put her nipples to high. She decided to go back so they could correct this but again they put them too high. She now has problems buying bras, it must be so nerve-wracking.

There are companies like Leo Claims Medical Negligence who specialize in cases such as injuries from surgery or undesirable results. I can imagine how difficult it would be to claim compensation from a medical professional however compensation is made available to help with the financial difficulties that can arise then surgery does go wrong.

*sponsored post : I have seriously considered breast surgery in the past. I have big breasts and have thought about having a reduction so I feel this is something that's relevant to me and my readers. All content is my own opinions.
